Extemely rude and unprofessional. There were no beers on tap and no food available when I was here. I came so I could watch the NBA finals and Copa America at the same time. Lofty goal but a co-worker called a day before to ask if they would play the soccer game and they said of course. He also arrived at 4:30 day of and the staff assured him they would turn on the game before ordering a round of drinks. However, they did not change one of their 7 TVs until after half time. Even though USMNT was winning, they changed the channel back after 10 minutes and refused to have any of the TVs play the soccer game even though the Warriors were losing. Will not be returning again to watch a sporting event.

I want to like this place, but they do almost everything wrong. It took my friend and I almost 20 minutes to get drinks when the bar was empty. When we got them, we found it that the bartender managed to screw up very common drinks(she put WATER in a MARTINI. Who does that?!?). To top it all off, she closed the bar at midnight on a Saturday(2 his early, when some of the nearby bars were packed to the gills). I guess we should than her for forcing us to leave her horrible bar, but that’s definitely a surefire way to lose business.

This is the first Unilocal review I’ve ever written in my life. I’ve worked in the service industry so I get that you deal with lots of people and it isn’t always ideal. That being said, I’ve never had worse service in my entire life. The bartender could not have been more mean in an EMPTY bar. I was told that my drink order made no sense when I ordered alcohol neat. That means just pour the alcohol in a glass with nothing else… REALLYHARDAPPARENTLY. The bartender(brunette who refused to tell me her name) said you should leave because my wife was drinking club soda and not alcohol. At the time there was less than ten people in the bar. I was told«The Sharks lost tonight so I’m not in the mood» All in all I’ve been using Unilocal for years and never felt the need to write a review until I stepped foot into the Wild Hare. It’s a shame because it’s a giant space with lots of potential, but it’s easily the worst service over ever had in my entire life. F–

Food and beer selection were good, but what made this place worth five stars was our bartender, Charity. She was AWESOME! We’ll be back.

LOVE their tater tots!!! So good! I like the atmosphere as well! A hint of Alice in Wonderland but also very chill and not too themed

Yikes. This place needs some serious work. Smells like a festival porta potty, no beers on tap and totally empty. Not sure how they’re still open.

I don’t know who the new management is, but I highly suggest that they pivot and make a HUGE career change. I’m finishing up brunch and this has been truly been awful. Whoever is cooking has the culinary prowess of a 6 year old with an easy bake oven. Seriously, of three plates on the table, we can count at least 4 items of food that were definitely pre-cooked and/or frozen. AND they don’t serve coffee… What??? I can also count two tables in my line of vision that have gotten up and grabbed supplemental bites of food at the bakery next door(which is great btw, highly recommend!). In short, I’m upset that old management has left. I kind of hope this place fails so that someone else comes in because it’s a good space. Oh and service is a solid negative three out of ten at best. Ps– tater tots are okay. Definitely were frozen but they pair great with the ketchup.

Wingss! Brunch! Drinks! And not too many drunks. This bar is great, in a great location with an awesome drink selection and tons of food options.

New management is whack. Went there on Saturday and they were out of more than half the beer on the menu. How’s that even possible? Huge bummer.

Based on my brunch experience at Wild Hare, 3 stars seems about right with the Unilocal average rating. One thing to point out is that the place is loud!!! Basically, don’t go to Wild Hare if you’re expecting an intimate brunch. You’ll be yelling at each other like mad. The food I had was okay. I had their Fresh Veggie Scramble with spinach, mushrooms, avocado, caramelized onions, basil & farm cheddar served with toast. The scramble was cooked good and I don’t really have much to complain about it. It was a great vegetarian option. Although Wild Hare’s brunch didn’t exactly wow me, I’m willing to go back to try them out for dinner or happy hour which seems to be when most of my Unilocal buddies are having better experiences.

New management = terrible Waited more than 1 hr to get wings that never showed up. The new bartenders are slow both physically and mentally. I was a regular and I’ll never return. They couldn’t be worse. Stay away!

Four stars for the four reasons I visit this place… –Tater tots, preferably topped with garlic crab –Truffle popcorn –Jameson on Tap! –Sports AND Sports Entertainment I’ve watched some NFL& Warrior games on their screens. But what excites me even more is watching some good ol’ wrestling on those screens. A Monday wouldn’t be happy without Monday Night Raw and snackin’ on some tots and truffled popcorn. oooh yeeeah!

Walk in and was greeted immediately and seated right away! Our bartender was super nice, so friendly, he knows what he is doing, he knows his food and drinks, because all the food and drinks we order he was the one that actually recommended for us to try it & we absolutely loved it! We ordered the dungeness garlic tater tots! It was amazing so much great flavor and crispy on the outside and hot and mush on the inside! I also order bottomless sprits! I got every flavored they had and it was soooo good! The wings are delicious! Bar food goes perfect with my drinks I’ve order !! This place is not too small and not too big! The restroom is upstairs and it’s dark(well for the girls restroom, I don’t know about the boys lol) It’s pretty loud tho, with the tv on and a lot of customers and music is on! But what’s a bar with out it being loud right ? Over all my husband & I love this place especially for happy hour !! Definitely coming back if I’m ever in San Francisco

3.75 Reuben Egg Rolls– I was never a fan of corned beef but apparently this dish was good(when intoxicated), so why not. Ah, thank you for reaffirming my dislike for corned beef Mac & Cheese w/bacon– The mac tasted like it came out of a box… no taste, no effort Sliders– not memorable Truffle Tots– YES. If I had just a plate of these tots, I would’ve been satisfied and a happy camper. HUGE portions, good flavor. Most of the dishes were mediocre. I was looking forward to the tots and although they were delicious and lived up to my expectations, I was too full from the other disappointing dishes. Like other things in life, as much as I enjoyed the tots, it was short lived.

Great little pub in Pac Heights in a convenient location just off of MUNI. I was in the neighbourhood to hang out with a friend, and I was really glad that she knew about this place. The other places we were considering just wouldn’t have worked on that night because of no food and/or it was trivia night lol. This was a great place to come and drink and eat and chat. My friend and I came on a Tuesday, so I wouldn’t expect it to be busy or anything. There were more people than I expected for a Tuesday, but still easy to find seats in a quieter corner to chat. The staff was really friendly and attentive, and gave good recommendations for the food(tots!) and cocktails.

A disappointment on multiple levels. This place is a reminder of why I tend to steer clear of places below the 3.5 star mark. Inattentive service and severely under-seasoned food. Didn’t think I could go wrong with the crab melt — it even had bacon! Somehow, they managed to make it completely tasteless. Fiancée’s chicken sando was equally bland. Season your food people! Cocktail and wine were pretty sad too. Probs my fault for ordering wine here, but still. It’s a shame really, this place is in a great spot on Cal and Divis. Kinda wish they’d overhaul it with a higher quality bar or restaurant.

Why aren’t there more bars themed around Alice in Wonderland? It is literally the best theme – cute, classic, with just enough creepiness to lend a bit of edge. Wild Hare uses it to great advantage, with colorful playing cards and rabbits and an eerie portrait of a girl in a blue dress(COMEPLAYWITHUS) on the walls. I went for Sunday brunch on a trip into Pacific Heights, after a different Pacific Heights brunch plan fell through. Wild Hare was nearby and we were able to walk in with a party of three without any hassle.(We arrived at around eleven, but by the time we left after noon the place was pretty full. A group of young dudes staked out our table and requested we let them know when we left. They retreated to the bar and then watched us like vultures for the rest of our meal.) I liked the vibe of the place. It was fun and casual with a kind of studied shabbiness. Service was okay. Our waitress was spotty, but we had a busboy with a baseball cap who was very attentive. He definitely did more work than she did. I got a pulled pork benedict for my meal and it was delicious. It came with pulled pork, caramelized onions, poached eggs, and chipotle hollandaise over what must have been a fluffy split brioche bun. The pork was braised tender and flavorful, enhanced by the chipotle hollandaise, and the eggs were beautifully poached. I got the benedict with a side of tater tots, and these were great, crispy and fresh, served with chipotle mayo. My friends both got veggie scrambles, which were much less exciting, just generic and bland. We opted against drinking, but I have a feeling Wild Hare would be awesome for a bottomless mimosa brunch. I had a Diet Coke instead and it was a flat bar-hose kind of Diet Coke. If I ever make it back here I’ll make a day of it, mimosa my way down the rabbit hole, etc. etc.

I’ve been here a few times and these are my feelings: As a bar for sports games: less crowded than SF athletic club and good tvs As a place for dinner: eh. It’s very bar type food like popcorn, mozzarella sticks etc Brunch: bomb! I came here with my sister and friend and it was delicious Atmosphere: seating is first come first serve, so it can be stressful to get a table. Lots of windows and fresh air though which is nice Drinks: they have so many different kinds of bottomless mimosas as well as a Bloody Mary bar(not unlimited) but you can go up to the bar and garnish your bloody with pickles, olives, salami etc. I got the blueberry and mint bottomless mimosa and it was delicious Food: garlic crab tater tots are amazing!!! I loveeee tater tots and these were so good. I also split a breakfast burrito with my friend– it was perfectly fine but not amazing Overall: would definitely come here again for brunch

25 cent wings! Punch bowls! Who wouldn’t love this?! Tasty wings(4 flavors) and drinks. And you can customize your punch bowls — we made our own moscow mule type of punch bowl. They give you half a bottle of alcohol for you to pour into the mix. Pretty good size for $ 34. Spacious & clean, but I would say my only problem would be the service. It was busy, but nothing crazy and it took FOREVER to order more food, drinks, and even get the check. :(Other than that, I’d come back here for their wings. So cheap and good!
