I liked Dr. Rash and got great pain relief from his treatment. He injected both of my feed with something and now several months later I now have a discoloration in the areas that he injected. I have reached out to him twice to find out what he used so that I could be aware of this reaction next time and he has not returned any of my messages. I am very disappointed… especially since I know he is in the area and I can see him in his online profile..

Buyer beware! Do not pay Dr Rash in advance for arch supports. I paid him in advance in June of 2014 and I still haven’t been reimbursed by my insurance company. It took 6 months to even get an invoice from his «paperless» office that I could use to file a claim and the invoice was so incomplete and unprofessional that Blue Cross/​Blue Shield rejected it. He left off the diagnostic code, required information, and instead of clearly stating that he had sold me two arch supports, he just showed a procedure code for an arch support. Blue Cross/​Blue Shield interpreted this as one and that’s all they reimbursed me for. There were 2 but, he failed to mention this in the invoice. I sent multiple e-​mails asking him to correct the bill; but, he hasn’t responded to my e-​mails or to calls from my insurance company. It’s been 8 moths since I paid for the arch supports and I still haven’t been reimbursed.
His «office’ is a sham. The people in the outer office don’t work for or with Dr. Rash. He’s a one man show with no administrative support. So he does-​or in my case doesn’t do, his own billing and he’s so bad at it that my health insurance couldn’t
process his invoice. If you have health insurance that covers arch supports, go to a preferred provider who will handle the paperwork for you. In most cases, you will not have to pay in advance and will only be billed for your co-​pay. There are many excellent Podiatrists in San Francisco who have professional offices that do all the Medicare and Health Insurance Claim paper work for you. Dr. Rash is not one of them.

Dr. Rash saved the day for me. I was treated for a hairline fracture on my right foot by a PCP and, unfortunately, was not given an effective remedy. In search for a solution to help me stay as upright as possible while traveling, I found Dr. Rash on here.
I called him and he directly picked up. Without hesitation, he scheduled an appointment an hour later with me in his office in the Castro. Two hours later, I went off with a taped foot and a walking boot, which did the trick. (I was off to a concert that night and needed to get off the crutches!)
Dr. Rash kindly followed up with me via email and phone and offered a follow-​up the following week, which was not necessary because the initial treatment worked like a charm!
If you have a foot injury and/​or need a podiatrist, Dr. Rash is the right man.

Out of nowhere, I came down with foot pain so bad I had to limp. On a Saturday, I found him on Unilocal,called his office, and left a message. He called me back in no more than 2 hours on his personal cell phone, and agreed to see me that night!
He checked out my foot thoroughly and decided I needed an x-​ray to rule out a stress fracture. He could have just sent me up the street to the hospital with a note, but he actually called a me cab and _​rode there with me_​to make sure they did it right. He waited with me in the waiting room for the X-​ray to free up, went in to give them directions, and read the x-​ray immediately.
And when there was no fracture, he diagnosed me with a neuroma. The symptoms made perfect sense.
He gave me a small steroid injection to reduce the nerve swelling, and advised me to keep my feet out of narrow shoes for a while until he could fit me for orthotics.
It went away after a few days, but when it flared up again after a long day of walking, he answered my worried text messages calmly and helpfully.
He set up a few followup visits to get me fitted for orthotics, and now the pain is totally gone. I was worried that it might be there forever, but thanks to Dr. Rash, I’m healthy and pain-​free.

Dr. Rash is great. He’s been able to help in ways I didn’t know existed. His professionalism and easy manner made me feel both confident and assured of his professional ability. I would recommend him to anybody looking for a Podiatrist.

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and as a result of that I’m required to have my feet and eyes examined every 6 months.
Dr. Rash is the only Doctor I trust, to care for me properly.

I went to Dr. Rash after a bike accident, on the referral of a friend. I had some pain in my right foot and ankle that would not go away, so I was limping everywhere. Dr. Rash diagnosed the issue, taught me some exercises and stretches to do daily, and gave me some pain medicine to get through the tough part. Within a couple of weeks, the pain was gone and I was walking normally again. Thanks, Dr. Rash!

While running I injured my left ankle/​foot. I fell off the sidewalk. I was mainly worried about my ankle because it had swollen up. I fell on top of my foot. Working with Dr. Rash I was able to strengthen my ankle back into shape. Got my foot healed. I must say besides his expertise I appreciated his human touch. Thank you Dr. Rash
