Someone I know was contacted by Volt Workforce Solutions for an interview at a company in Richmond. The interview went well… and then nothing. Recruiter won’t return phone calls or answer emails. Person figured that even though the hiring company seemed overly excited, something must have been amiss or they would have been hired. Unnerving when another recruiter, at the same office, called to schedule an interview with the same company. When it was brought up that they had already interviewed at this company… second recruiter couldn’t get off the phone fast enough. An inquiry about other similar jobs has gone unanswered. So, they have loyalty to the companies that hire them, and NONE to the candidates they recruit. Expect to be treated like a thing, and not a person. Handling rejection is part of the employment search process, avoiding that is less than professional.

Volt Miami Down town placed me in a job that I had to listen to religious radio music which there was no work. When i received another job they were rude on wanting me to stay.
Maria Diaz the branch coordinator mailed my check to another employee and had me coordinate with the employee to pick it up instead of having it voided and fed ex to my house.
Highly unprofessional. Worst agency I have ever dealt with.

I used to have a position with tesla because of volt. But let me explained i was told a very different picture than what was actually happening at work. example when i signed on i was supposed to be paid a different amount and i was only suppose to work a regular shift. but as it turned out i was there 5pm to 5 am 7 days a week for 3 months. no double time as promised. Volt did not back me up when i was let go. «we will help you get another contract» they said… its been 4 years. When i call Every position is either cancelled or no longer available. the only crap they have is retail. I’ve waste my time applying to Anything and everything without a response. Ive come in for interviews because they forget to call me back. your best bet isto look for a job yourself.

VOLT agency unfairly tests worthy canidates in customer service for clients like LOUIS VUITTON. Eek! Hopefully not HERMES!!!

If I could give a lower review I absolutely would. I am still waiting on paychecks from TWO MONTHS AGO. Every time I email them asking where my paycheck is they give me the runaround, keep telling me it’s on it’s way, or they chastise me for filling out a time card incorrectly (though that is not the case). There are better temp agencies out there that won’t waste your time and keep your money from you. Volt is unprofessional, unorganized, and a terrible experience overall.

They always treated me professionally and were friendly as well.

The past three years of my life have been devoted to the world of education and financial aid. Well recently that chapter has come to an end do to the amazing work of Jesse E.!! Not only did he search high and low, he has found the most amazing opportunity far far away from the world of Education! If you are looking for a recruitor that will genuinely work for you and find you the best suited position to fit your skill set you would be silly not to work with Jesse and Volt! This agency has been nothing but amazing and knowing they have people there as genuine understanding and helpful as Jesse makes it just that much more amazing. Today I got a call and I start ADT tomorrow with Adecco. (read my earlier post). To Agent with all my experience you kept pegging me for retail. Because Adecco really knew my skills from my one time visit with an agent. I’m doing billing for ADT. Did you notice my experience?

The first time I worked with Volt, it was flawless! But I also know they changed some workers around since then.
Thinking that things were the same, I went back and referred friends. This time the service was scant… I was offered one customer service job that wouldnt start for another month, but they were trying to fill the positions. I was told that I would receive information via email and didnt. I called them again later and they offered me the same job.
When I asked if there was anything else out there (out of curiosity), they werent thrilled. I really didnt hear from them after that. And I tried calling and emailing my point of contact again and again. I would check in with them weekly and finally just moved on. My friend didnt have a positive experience with them either.
And I also noticed they would always say the didnt have anything else and then I would see all kinds of postings on other internet sites that listed Volt Services as the agency for such listings! WTF?!
It was such a nice place before. :o (
I think many times experiences at placement agencies are hit or miss, but i’m sorry to say that my experience here was a miss.
Tips when going to placement agencies:
* bring a copy of your resume (even if you already emailed it)
* bring two forms of ID like a driver’s license & SS card
* be prepared to fill out paper work like w2’s, direct depost forms
* bring any info (past addresses for background checks and references)
* be prepared to take tests in things like Excel, Word and Powerpoint
* if you apply online and get a confirmation email only, call they agency, it doesnt hurt!

I thought Volt was great when I first walked in. I was a bit annoyed they didn’t set me up with an interview when I called them before; they insisted I submit my resume online. It took them five days before calling me, despite my office experience, and only after I applied for a position I saw on their site.
Problem was? The position description was written exactly like another job listing I’d seen many, many, times on Craigslist. Suspicious, yes? When I got the phone call from Volt, it was about my application for the job. I made an ass out of myself and assumed the job was for the same company I’d seen on Craigslist. «Oh no, we’re not actually working with them.» «Oh… it’s just that the ad is exactly the same.» «Well… we’re not working with that company.»
I go in for the interview, and the woman was great. Very friendly and I thought she would be very helpful. I scored 100% on their tests. Except when I asked about the luxury customer service gig I went into interview for, she hems and haws.
I don’t think the job exists.
It’s been a week and I haven’t heard shit. The two other temp agencies I signed up with? One set me up with a temp gig the day after I interviewed and another has already set me up with two interviews.
And Volt? Posted yesterday with the same job listing I applied for. They just took out a bunch of stuff. Untrustworthy bastards.

The staff is tremendously friendly and helpful as you get set up in the system. They will help you, if they can, find a job in the area that best suits your skills and desires.
