I spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the work of Vladimir Vitkovsky. When you visit, you will meet Marina who showed me around and explained every detail of the artist’s work. The body of work Vladimir has is so sophisticated and ahead of it’s time. The steampunk movement came to life way after Vladimir was already doing images that would fit in any Hollywood movie. I hear the events are so much fun and engaging. I can’t wait to go to one. Christopher James Art .com puts them together so they should be wonderful. Parking is a little difficult before 5PM after that plenty of street parking.

In the midst of the tourist craze and energy near the Piers — this definitely feels like an oasis. We actually stumbled upon this place. Little did I know I was in for quite the treat. The details in the art is incredible. The quiet atmosphere frames the artwork perfectly. Definitely come through.

Very proud of the Russian talent and the mastery of art being taught back in the USSR, especially St.-Petersburg. Look closely at the painting and what this unique multi-dimensional approach expresses. Each person can find something close to his heart in Vitkovsky’s paintings. I am going to get one of the paintings for my house while they are still somewaht affordable! :)

Vitkovsky is a gifted artist. I love his work. I agree with people who said that he is one of the world’s most talented artist and he is sure to become legendary. His wife is a wonderful and beautiful woman. She wrote a interesting and funny book. I have that book and I love to read it over and over again. Visit Vitkovsky Art Gallery and you will see it for yourself. You will have a wonderful time to see his work.

There are many faces of Vladimir Vitkovsky art, all in different styles and techniques: graphics, oils, inks, pastels, drawings, etchings, collages, even sculptures. What is the same — vision of life thru symbols, window to reality thru imagination. I can look at the same picture many times, and always find some different meaning. Vladimir drawings are amazing! Inks are unique! I wish I could have more walls to have more of Vladimir paintings. Marina, Vladimir muse, wife and art consultant, has a real talent to open another side of each piece of art introduced in the gallery. Here is an advice: if you happened to have couple of free hours in San Francisco — visit them at(3036 Larkin St, San Francisco, CA94109, 415−922−4278), you won’t be sorry! Friend and admirer of Vladimir’s genius in art, Svetlana

The Vitkovsky Fine Art Gallery is truly unique. I love everything about this place: the atmosphere, the beautiful paintings, the friendly and welcoming qualities of the Artist and his wife. No matter what is your budget limit, this is a place to go if you are shopping around for a gift, a souvenir or would like to add a master piece to your art collection. Besides, it’s perfectly located, so sometimes, I really enjoy just coming to the gallery and spend some quality time admiring the art.

One of the best galleries I know. 1. Vitkovsky will be one of the artists by whom our period is remembered. He works in a number of widely different styles(I counted at least 5 in oils, not to mention the papier-mâché miniatures, whimsical household-object sculptures, the… well, you got the point) 2. Mrs Vitkovsky isa writer, and a fascinating woman, and pays personal attention to every visitor sharing her deep understanding of art and of particular artists on exhibit. Even if you are not shopping for a painting it’s worth a visit just to meet her. 3. Besides Vitkovsky at least two or three other interesting artists are on exhibit, and the works change frequently 4. Great events. Olive oil tasting, music, special exhibits, wine, personal interaction with artists and a cool crowd — what more could one want? 5. Kid-friendly, unlike most galleries. Even for the evening events. If you want your kid to share your love of art you may want to make this the first gallery you visit. 6.Location. Important in SF. They are on the same block as the Ghirardelli Square parking lot. Next to tasty restaurants that validate parking. Handicapped accessible.

i haven’t yet actually made it to the gallery, but if vitkovsky’s art itself reflects anything of the space in which it is now housed, i am certain it’s nothing less of phenomenal. the man has a gift. beautiful work.

Vitkovsky is truly a great artist. His style is unique and cannot be duplicated. Though a lot of his work can be seen on his website, seeing it in person is a whole new experience. The gallery is very conveniently located, so get some chocolate to delight your stomach, and then go into the gallery to delight all your other sense.

Vitkovsky’s Art is breathtaking. It can not be easily described in words, notes or hieroglyphs, because it requires a personal encounter to fully appreciate the intricate dance of shadows, silhouettes and music on his canvases. Highly recommended.

Loved it. Small and welcoming. The artists wife was there and took her time to describe and display each and every piece I was interested in. She was very friendly. Loved his work.

Great new gallery just opened up. The feeling is super cozy and the art is different from other commercial art. Located right across from Ghirardelli, stop by next time you are showing people around San Francisco. The artists know how to paint, that’s for sure.
