Veestro

Veestro is so close to being great. But they need to work out their flaws.
Pros: They’re vegan. They have diet/​low calorie options. Healthy. Some of the food is awesome. Unlike BistroMD, which has consistently mediocre overpriced food with nothing great, Veestro has some boffo dishes. For example the curry, which is spectacular and filling. Thai chicken stew, calzone, quesadilla. Even the food that isn’t great is mostly good. They’re also reasonably priced. Customer service is excellent, with one notable exception (see cons). Their weight loss program is very effective. They ship every two weeks which is good in some ways, but requires a lot of freezer room for storage.
Cons: Some food is disgusting (kale cough, mole). And they have no convenient mechanism to remove those from the meal plan. It requires an email to customer service. Tho’ that is effective it would be far better if they had a website taste profile for removing dishes. Either way they have so few menu items that removing a few things from the mix means they’ll substitute the same few items over and over and over. So you’ll eat the same things over and over and over. They pretty much never introduce new menu items. After a while it gets unbearable. They also churn out an absurd and confusing amount of junque mail: coupons, surveys, promos, way too often. And the big con was when I moved and told them and they first sent the next delivery to the proper new address. Then for some bizarre reason they sent a later delivery to the old wrong address. Clearly their error. That meant that I got home from work hungry and didn’t receive my food and they couldn’t get me a replacement package for a week. Unacceptable, so I got a refund (which they processed promptly) and unsubscribed.
I hope they improve. They have potential.
