Excellent location and superior Customer Service!
The staff here is awesome and they always give me a free candy when I come in. There’s never a line to wait in and it’s quick and super efficient. I love that I can walk there on my lunch break in 5 minutes and get in and out. Always a pleasure going here!

ATMOSPHERE:
I jus wanna note the cascading steps to sit at outside on california and davis. There’s seat cushions! Cute! Except they get collected at 6pm. Boo. But would be a super cute place to have 12pm lunch with the other businesmen and businessladies.

I am ONLY writing this as a HUGE fan of the US Bank ATMs — they don’t charge a fee even though I am not a member of the bank. I belong to USAA and there are no local ATMs. Knowing I can go to any US Bank and not be charged a fee is always a good thing… can I get a w00t?!

I’ve been a customer with US Bank for about 3 years and no complaints thus far. Their customer service is outstanding. They ask how your day is tell you their name and if your accounts are ok. The last time I checked I think they’re the sixth largest bank in the country. By far the best bank I’ve been with.

Old fashion bank: Sterile, generic, robotic
After ten years of depositing with this bank with a minimum of $ 25,000.00 in the non-​interest bearing account, I discovered that they have been charging me $ 10.00/month for some Analysis Service Charge. At first, I thought it was to check on a question I called them on, then I found that this charge was monthly! Not wanting to face the sterile «deer in the headlight» response that I had received previously at their bank, I will just withdraw and transfer to a bank that really knows how to treat a customer.
No need to waste time «reasoning» with a business that «can’t figure out why their losing business.». Just pull the account and go where they really want and appreciate your business… but not at US Bank.

They closed our account for no reason at all. We just got accepted for a credit line of $ 10,000 from them a month earlier. We never made a single purchase with the card. We set that up as an overdraft protection and requested a credit of $ 1,500. We were pleased that we qualified for so much… but now we are very confused.
They also charge a mysterious «Analysis Fee» that will overdraft you if you aren’t careful. They give no reason for this fee either. It just mysteriously appears — sometimes twice per month. We incurred an overdraft charge because of the bogus fees and Lance at the Cathedral City, CA branch on Date Palm Drive — told us that he would remove the fees. That never happened!
The worst part — these bankers came in a group twice to our shop trying to get us to bank with them before we decided to bank with them. They are right across the street from us. It made it very convenient for us to drop off thousands of dollars in to their bank.

if you own a business this is NOT the bank for you. They have a mysterious charge called an «Analysis Fee» that they have failed to explain fully, and the analysis fee is debited from the account at random intervals without notice. We’re not talking a couple of dollars here. The last analysis fee deducted from the account was $ 120, so you can see that a charge for that amount could seriously affect the business owner’s ability to keep the account reconciled.
In addition, they have returned checks and charged a return check fee and an insufficient funds fee even though the account has thousands of dollars in it. Countless phone calls have been made to get the fees removed, which they do, but then the cycle starts all over again.
DO NOT BANK WITH US BANK!

US Bank is one of the few that offers Health Savings Accounts. See link for basic details on HSA info.
US Bank was most helpful in providing information as well as assistance in setting up an HSA.
I have been to several branches and they are pretty good. The branch downtown at California is the most helpful for HSA concerns.
I have also found that US Bank does offer that old-​fashioned type of service that all banks used to provide to every customer.
No bank is perfect. But for a major bank, my experience of US Bank here in the Bay Area has been good. For more info on US Bank see web link:

Friendly, incompetent service with a smile.
I opened a checking account and repeated, at least 3 times, to set the account up with the address on my business card.
What did they use? The old address on my drivers license. Sent the debit card there. I wonder who has it now? If little details like this matter, pick some other bank.

When I finally decided to make the switch from WaMu to U.S. Bank, I decided to make my first deposit at this U.S. Bank branch. All in all, I have to agree that they do provide five star service. It was very nice to have such a hearty welcome, and I was greeted by everyone from the doorman, to the bankers on the floor, to the teller who assisted me with my deposit. This bank branch definitely strives to provide excellent customer service, and they most certainly made a good first impression. It’s a nice feeling to know that I can walk into a branch for certain transactions without being pressured or hounded to open another type of account or enter such and such type of rewards program.
Also, I had a minimal wait to make my deposit and I dropped in over my lunch hour at work.
Note: For those considering a switch to U.S. Bank, there are no end of ATMs available in the City and you can find them at a number of Walgreens – which are on just about every street corner! :) Yes – for no foreign ATM charges!
