What a great place: the staff is super attentive and welcoming. I am a regular customer and just had my manicure and pedicure done for my wedding. Imagine my surprise when I received a bottle of wine as a wedding gift when I was ready to pay! Also, the nail design fee was waived! High quality, affordable, highly recommended.

These wonderful ladies always greet me with the warmest service and do an outstanding job. They make you feel VIP. My nails always look beautiful and last a long time

The ladies here are really sweet and super accommodating. I called around 5:30 for two pedicures and she told us to come in 5 minutes. Although the place was supposed to close at 6, people were came in later than us and were accommodated even after 6!
Pedicures cost $ 22 (CASH ONLY!!) and were decent. The salon had a wide variety of OPI and Essie nail polish which was definitely a plus. The pretzels and water they offer is a really cute addition. But the actual quality of the pedicure wasn’t mind blowing or anything, with a pretty short massage/​not much cuticle cutting. I would have given this place 4 stars, but I expected a longer & more thorough experience. I’d definitely go back though, the staff made it an overall happy experience. I’m sure a lot of people feel that way because they had many regulars coming in!

This shop has true professionalism! After my last review Hannah reached out to me and apologized for my experience. She even offered to redo my gel manicure. i went in the next week to take her up on her offer and received superb excellent service.
There was a few girls ahead of me and I patiently waited. Hannah asked if I could wait about 10 minutes and I had no problem with waiting. She finished with the girl she was originally working on before starting on me. She took her time and effortlessly got the corners and tips of my nails. Before sending my hand under the lamp she checked to make sure the coat was even each time.
The lady who did my nails the first time apologized for last time and I felt really bad about my review, but it was mainly for advice and better service for not only me, but for everyone else coming in. I hope that my first review only make service even better for others.
I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

Wonderful salon! The family who owns this place is so sweet and accommodating! My mom and I dropped in to get pedicures and they immediately offered us water and snacks (cherries, pretzels) while we sat and had our feet done! Very nice people! I would definitely come back again the next time I am in the area!

I used to live around the corner from Trio so that’s why I started going there. I used to go to silk nails but it was getting too expensive — I get a pedi and shellac mani. I’ve been going to Trio since Jan 2015 and I really like it. I’ve never had to make an appointment and always get in quickly. They offer you water and some snacks.
Pedi:
— soak your feet in a bucket, no power spa thing.
— do a good job cleaning up cuticles and shaping
— good job w the polish
— massages are a bit short
— hot towel at the end
Shellac mani:
— Hannah is THE BEST at painting nails. I am very very very picky about the paint job and she does a perfect job. I moved to Soma a few months ago and I still go back just to go get my mani by Hannah.
— give a hand/​arm massage w oil at the end
It’s cash or check only. The cost for what I get is $ 45. I’m happy with it and will keep going there. They’re so nice too!

I love this place! Not only are the people super friendly and nice, they give you treats.
The price for a mani/​pedi is reasonable and it’s waking distance from the main area of Japantown.
I highly recommend this spot.

Dawn and Loan are sisters who did my gel manicure and pedicure, 2 of the 3 sisters who run this shop. They are so sweet, immediately offer you water or coffee and a tiny bowl of snack pretzels. What a value for $ 45: $ 25 gel manicure and $ 20 pedicure. Support a local family business when you go here!

They made my girlfriend’s toes look so yummy I wanted to eat her feet! She is super happy and asked me to leave a 5 star review because these ladies earned it!
We highly recommend this place and their prices are more then fair and they did it in no time!

I hesitate to give this place such an average review because the workers were all very friendly, but my experience here was just okay. The location is great though, if you’re hanging out in Japantown for the day and you want to take a mani break.
I realize that with such a low price for their services, I shouldn’t hold very high expectations. The regular mani/​pedi for myself was great. Chairs were comfy, and for your feet they give you this giant bowl of *blue* water (looks like that bright blue toilet water) with a few lemon slices floating around. The lady who helped me provided nice hand/​foot massages, and the scrub was pleasant too — I felt like she was scraping off all the dead cells on my soles. Yay! If you’re going in for a regular service, this place deserves 5 stars.
My friend’s manicure, however, was so subpar that I felt obligated to add this to my review. She got a French manicure done with acrylics, and it took well over an hour to get the whole thing done. At the end, three of her nails were «cloudy» — you could very clearly see white specks in the section of the nail where it’s supposed to look clear/​nude. Eventually, the whole process just took so long that my friend didn’t even insist on redoing those nails because she simply didn’t want to stay there longer.
If you do decide on this salon, I recommend making an appointment. We were lucky and got immediate service after walking in (around 2:30pm on a Saturday), but of course, a few people arrived after us and were told they had to wait half an hour.
After reading the other reviews on here — I got very sad because while they did offer me water or hot tea, they didn’t offer me anything else! If I come back, I’ll definitely be asking for snacks!

I like how the salon is one of the green business salons in SF committed to reducing toxics for the customers and employees. A good little place for in and out no frill type of service.

I have been going to Trio Nails for the longest time. Good customer service where they offer comfy seating, great salon services and yummy snacks. They do a great job on my mani/​pedi every time I go.

stopped in on a sunday afternoon, and there was no wait which was great. very friendly service. and Dawn is the first person to give me a pedicure that helped me figure out why my toes were so sensitive rather than just hurt me a little less after saying i had sensitive toes. thank you!

One of the most affordable mani/​pedis I’ve experienced. $ 27! That’s practically free…
Make an appointment if you don’t want to wait for 20 or so minutes, there’s only 2 ladies working.
Complimentary snacks, water, and tea go a long way. And I get a kick out of the electric blue water with lemon slices used for pedicures!
No massage chairs or lengthy massage as you get a regular service. However you can pay $ 10 or $ 20 for an extended service. O

I got a mani and pedi, shellac for the mani. (Great selection of colors and brands) They took their time, paid attention to detail, and provided excellent service. The finished product looks great.
I mentioned that it was my birthday, and they offered me a free nail design. And if that wasn’t enough, they provided snacks… which is always a bonus!

For being the only person in a salon, you’d think your manicurist would give half a shit.
$ 13 for a French manicure, a painful and bad one at that. My left pinky and thumb were somehow cut into while the manicurest was ridding me of cuticles, and she just laughed about it before putting peroxide on it as they bled. She seemed to forget about the obvious, bloody cut as she gave me a sad hand massage and rubbed lotion into the cuts.
She seemed to do one step on one hand well and then skip or rush the same process on the other. One nail got jacked during drying, she verbally noted it, and then didn’t fix it.
It’s really shitty when you get the feeling an employee of dead business is more interested in getting back to gossip with her coworker then giving you at least your money’s worth.
Never go here. Ever.

Miss my ladies at Trio Nails! Came by to say hello and also get a mani/​pedi set! Jenny now offers shallac (gel nail polish). My sister in law told me it lasts longer and you get more bang for your buck! So now I’m trying it out for the very first time. *sigh. Relaxation time!
Came Monday pm, excited bc no clients but us so it was perfect. She started off with my sister in law who asked for a mani/​pedi set and then finished off with me and also managed to squeeze another manicure client inbwtn, still happy, smiling and conversating with every one of her clients. Now that’s hard work and dedication.
