I had been trying to find a local class to help improve my acting skills. I saw someone post about Tina’s class coming up. I told my husband I wanted to take the class as a Mother’s Day gift from him. I took the class and was very comfortable and pleased with Tina. Everyone that also attended were friendly. It was an intimate setting. Tina’s expertise and advice made my anxiety dissappear. I enjoyed every aspect of the experience. I will be registering for more classes in the near future now that I know the location is close to Bart.

My acting colleague, Edwin Jacobs, referred Tina D’Elia to me.
Regardless of the profession you’re working on or pursuing, whether you realize it or not, communication, via 1:1 or 1: many (e.g., public speaking), is, and will be, a key component in your life.
The way we connect with people, 1:1 or 1: many, determines our success rate in conveying an effective and compelling message that will inspire and motivate our listeners and audiences to behave or not behave in a certain way.
If you work in Corporate America, you will need to effectively communicate your reasons to get an increase in budget, head-​count, or defend your job from being cut. If you’re a lawyer, you need to effectively communicate your arguments; so, the jurors will decide their verdict in your favor. If you’re a doctor, you need to effectively communicate with your patients; so, they follow your prescriptions to prevent damages to their bodies or maintain a healthy body. The list of professions and situations go on and on that support the need for effective communication on a 1:1 level or a 1: many level.
In my case, as an actor, at an audition, I need to effectively communicate my acting skills to the casting director; so, he or she will hire me for a television or film project.
Tina’s classes are designed to provide people with the tools to effectively communicate and connect with people. She goes over many different techniques to help her students effectively communicate their messages to their audiences:
Body Control: Tina goes over ways to relax the body before an audition or public speaking event. If the body is relaxed, the higher chances of the speaker connecting with the audience. As an actor, I must always be in control of every body movement I execute, especially in the face — the camera picks up the slightest movement; hence, body control is important for me as an actor.
Connection: A connection must exist between the speaker and the audience. Tina goes over the ways that we can increase the chances of connecting with the audience. As an actor, even if I am playing a villain, I still need to connect with my audience. The success of an actor is determined by many things; and, one of them is the actor’s ability to connect with his or her audience; so, that the audience would want to see that actor again in future movies.
Organization Of The Message: Does your message have a hook? Why should I listen to you? Tina goes over ways to organize your message to capture the audience’s interest and persuade the audience to follow your direction. As an actor, I have to read the script and create behaviors in my body to match the words coming out of my mouth; so, my audience will follow me.
Posture: Non verbal communication, AKA: body language, can be, and most of the time is, more important than verbal communication. Tina works on posture and body language to effectively communicate messages without saying a word. She also pairs body movements with the spoken word. For me, as an actor, this is critical for my success. This creates believability in my character.
These are some of the key features that Tina provides to her students. These features, mentioned herein, will benefit you in all aspects of your life — in and out of the office and on and off the camera.
