Sales and Lease of office interior plants and plantscaping, plants for home staging, plants for businesses and homes. We do containerized exterior plants and color programs. We also do weekly and monthly color and floral programs including orchid arrangements, bromeliads and weekly fresh flowers delivered to you office. or lobby. All work done by contract over a one or two year period. We are not a store, but we do have a warehouse in San Francisco.

We service the entire bay area and beyond.

History

Established in 1987.

The Wright Gardner was founded in 1987 with the belief that live plants in the workplace help relieve employee stress by reducing airborne toxins and providing a healthful, green backdrop for everyday activity.

Our technicians are well trained in the art of interior tropical plant maintenance and understand the importance of providing quality service while not disturbing office occupants. On going training for all technicians includes in-​house monthly staff meetings, weekly account summaries, and ongoing «Tech Talk» seminars provided by the California Interior Plantscape Association (CIPA). Unusual to this industry, we enjoy a low employee turnover, and several technicians have been with us for ten years or longer. Employees of the Wright Gardner are recipients of a higher than usual salary structure, health benefits, and a generous vacation policy.

Business Owner

Matthew started his plantscaping business in 1977. Ten years later he joined with business partner John Wright to form the Wright Gardner. Matthew has been a vocal force for direction at CIPA (California Interior Plantscapers Association) which is now PIA (Plantscapers Industry Alliance) for which he served as Chair for a few years.

I manage about 350,000 square feet of medical device manufacturing space. 60% of which are open office space in San Francisco, Red Wood City, Hayward and Santa Clara.
We are a professional company and The Wright Gardner was the right fit for us.
Communication is everything, and as long as you communicate your expectations, The Wright Gardner will deliver.
Matthew and his team are professional and courteous.
They have several programs that meet every need I have: purchase or lease, it does not matter, they deliver great porducts.

I manage 12 free standing office buildings in Walnut Creek. In the building lobbies we have potted plants which they deliver, maintain and replace as necessary. They always add a nice look and feel to the lobbies. We have found their service and consistency throughout the four years I have been on the property to be very good! I would definitely recommend for any commercial plant needs.

I was in the market to find a new plant vendor to replace the previous plant vendor we were using at my work. I stumbled upon Unilocal and found the Wright Gardner, and we couldn’t be more happy.
The first person I was in touch with was Greg, the plant designer. After taking a look at our office space, he knew exactly what plants needed to go where based off the amount of light in the room. He worked with our budget without any hassle and offered the best options for our money. Greg was very responsive to all our questions via email. He was the most helpful throughout the process and made our plant vendor transition very seamless.
It’s been several months since we’ve been using their services, and WG has been very consistent with maintaining the plants. They come by about every 10 days to maintain and water the plants, and they are so polite and non-​disruptive about it. I recommend the WG to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy, reliable plant vendor. Thanks guys!

Love these people. Met them when I was working for a property management company and they were a delight to work with — were always prompt, courteous and efficient. When a plant was failing, it was replaced immediately.
Am now at a different company and was Project Manager for our move to bigger offices. Decided to give The Wright Gardner a call as we needed some color in our 7600 sq. ft. space. Greg came out and did a walk through, and as we were requesting special pots, took a little longer than normal to get our plants. However, they were delivered when they said they would be and their staff was in and out so quickly. Plants are beautiful and really enjoy working with these professionals.

We have used The Wright Gardner for our indoor house plants for the past year and I recently called Mr. Gardner to discuss some concerns. A). His plant technician (waterer) never knocked, she just let herself in, even if I was home. My dog would go nuts and run after her and she would be agitated and yell at my dog. B). I asked for a set time every visit, so I could make sure to be home to make sure our dog was out of her way. How’s that for an idea — knock on your clients door! C). Our plants are covered in dust, and according to Mr. Gardner, dusting/​cleaning plants is part of the service.
He became irritated and said that he thought it would be best to cancel their services, which I view as extremely unprofessional. I love that I was fired from their business.
Also, I think I am being ripped off. I pay $ 125 a month for plant service which I’m okay with, but a few months ago I purchased some orchids for my bathroom and before they went bad (they were perfectly healthy), the technician removed them and replaced them with The Wright Gardners orchids, and told me I was on the Orchid Program. What’s the Orchid Program that I didn’t sign up for but was being auto billed? Well for 3 small orchid flowers to be put into my square vase, they were charging me $ 165 EVERY MONTH. Doesn’t that sound like a fabulous program?!

Patrick who arranges the flowers for CLUB ONE at Yerba Buena are amazing. Always creative and modern! They switch out the flowers every week at the gym and it brings in a sweet atmosphere.

These guys are in the business of maintaining plants in a corporate environment. Once a week, they bring out older plants and replace them with new one’s which they sell for dirt cheap pricing. Great group of guys and wonderful pricing if you are in the area. They usually have their sale on Friday’s.
