Description

Specialties

The Sequoias-San Francisco is an independent living community for people 65 and older with access to physicians, assisted and skilled nursing care on site. It is designed for people in good health to apply for residency through a health and financial screen with a rich educational, exercise and social experience, 1 or 3 meals a day included, weekly housekeeping, linen and towel service. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community we offer several contract options: Life Care includes medical services as above and Continuing Care has access to them, but is paid on an «as-needed» basis for people with Long Term Care Policies. Centrally located with access to transporation, The Sequoias has been in the neighborhood since 1969 and is a not-for-profit community of Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services.

History

Established in 1969.

The Sequoias-San Francisco is one of 7 communities of the not-for-profit corporation called NCPHS. 3 are Life Care communities, 3 for low-income seniors, and 1 is a multi-level community in Little River, CA. As one of only 15 remaining Life Care communities in California, most of which started in a faith-based environment, The Sequoias also offers Continuing Care contracts now and is open to all faiths and beliefs. Our parent company has been in business since 1958 and more information about them, and The Sequoias, can be viewed at www.ncphs.org.
