We believe in the true art form of theater: grounded, vulnerable acting and the tangible connection between script, actor and audience. We strive to produce contemporary, relatable pieces of work that make people think and feel. Our audiences have come to expect passionate, honest, brave consistency from our productions. The Rabbit Hole is our contribution to keeping those things alive.

The Rabbit Hole Theater School

We believe in supporting each child’s imagination and creativity. Every child comes with their own arsenal of stories and experiences, which as actors we use in creating characters. Theater allows us to explore different characters in ourselves and experience the powerful nature of storytelling. Theater is a wonderful way to implement empathy in our coming generations. It is something that stays with you for the rest of your life. You never forget that time you walked out on stage and let yourself be seen.

The Rabbit Hole Children’s Theater opened with an exciting summer program in 2014! Since, then we have been sharing our love for make believe with none stop activities for you and your little ones!

Hello!

I’m Brooke and I’m the founder of The Rabbit Hole Children’s Theater! I’ve been acting and and singing my whole life and received my training studying Musical Theater at The American Musical Dramatic Academy, in New York City. I’ve always been someone who lived inside my imagination and I was extremely lucky to find an outlet where using this part of yourself is celebrated. I worry children today are being pushed out of their artistic freedom and my mission is to provide a safe place where kids can be nurtured in their inner creativity. Theater is a wonderful tool for self-​expression and it’s been a joy to watch your little ones fall in love with the magic of theater.

If you want to host a fun birthday party for your creative kid, you cannot do better than Rabbit Hole. Brooke, Mia and the whole crew are amazing organizers, helping the kids put on a wonderful show while the parents got to eat, drink and mingle. They even gave out roses to the performers at the end! And put together thoughtful goodie bags. We all had a blast.

We just had my daughter’s 6th birthday party at The Rabbit Hole, and it was amazing. Brooke and I spoke on the phone so she could get ideas to custom-​make a party just for my daughter. The party included a puppet show based on my daughter, facepainting, and unique games that Brooke and her staff created for the party. The space is a small loft that they decorated to look like an urban castle, and there was plenty of room for the parents to mingle and eat and drink while the kids enjoyed themselves.
Brooke, Heidi, and Mia were wonderful — they came dressed up and stayed in character the entire afternoon, making sure that the kids were constantly entertained. Even the older boys who would never have voluntarily gone to a princess party were caught up in the magic. It was the most creative, unique, and trouble-​free birthday party I’ve thrown.

My daughter is always excited to attend her class at The Rabbit Hole. She enjoys expressing herself into different characters. The staff here area also friendly, amazing and talented. My husband and I are so happy she is part of this experience.

The children’s theater classes are an amazing introduction into theater. I have a 4 year old and 6 year old who are in the Shooting Stars class.
The extroverted 4 year old begged her 6 year old introverted sister to try this class with her. It is a huge hit in our house. Both girls look forward to Wednesday after school so much that they count down the days until the next class. In fact it is currently their favorite after school activity!
I knew the little one would enjoy it but I am amazed that the older one has come out of her shell and enjoys theater.
Brooke and Mia do an amazing job of helping all of the children to be themselves or pretend to be other characters. The girls are learning so many skills that are helpful in school and life too! If you are looking for a great class with small child to teacher ratios this is the place for you to send your children.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mia and Brooke on two productions, and through the opening of the Rabbit Hole’s beautiful space in the mission. Brooke and Mia are hardworking, responsible professionals. They are also talented artists with a strong vision for their business. The Rabbit Hole is a gorgeous and versatile space. It was a perfect place to rehearse our show, with lots of open space, a dance floor, and mirrors. They have done a really impressive job converting this smaller space into a practical and peaceful studio. I have also seen it when it is set up for their educational theater camps and it is an adorable playground for kids to experience.
Brooke and Mia treat the people they work with with the utmost respect. Sadly, I have now moved out of SF, but if I was still in the area I would jump at the chance to work with them again.

I sent my daughter to Summer Theater camp here and she absolutely LOVED it. I’ve never seen her leave a class so inspired and alive. We just signed up for their winter session of imagination class and can’t wait to see Miss Brooke again!

The Rabbit Hole is an awesome theater/​studio space that provides a place for theater artists to practice and for respectful members of the general public to rent the space for private events. I hosted a dining event at The Rabbit Hole and worked with Brooke, who was lovely and very professional. Pricing was up front and without hidden costs. She was generous with her space and other on site amenities and answered any and all of the millions of questions I had. The space is very urban and contemporary with clean white walls and both hardwood and concrete floors. There is even a small kitchen and a stove with a proper functioning hood! Once this space gets A/​C or ceiling fans, it’ll be pure gold. I recommend the Rabbit Hole without hesitation.
