The Peaks is a fun neighborhood bar. Friendly bartenders, juke box, pool table and great drink specials!

It has the local/dive bar vibe. Friendly bartenders, pool table, juke box, and good drink specials(can get many beers/drinks for $ 5). Lots of TVs all showing different sports games. Not as elaborate as some of the bars/restaurants you’ll find in Noe, but it’s a good time nonetheless. Really cool, antique cash register!

The owner Kellie try’s her best to run a good neighborhood bar. Great selection overall and back patio works well for smoking and hanging out.

Two single-use bathrooms, demarcated by sex. Both have locks on the door. Also, somewhat inexplicably, there were random catering-trays of sandwiches on this particular Friday evening, which was pretty awesome. I can’t speak to pricing, since someone else bought my beer, but they have IPA. Pool table in the front room, darts(and smoking) in the back(according to rumor). Decent juke box.

This is the place to hang out at, at 10am… apparently. The locals were quite entertaining! I wonder if they’ve seen the light of day recently? Bartender…you rocked! thank you for making our 2 hour wait at a nearby restaurant worthwhile.

This is a dive bar. It’s never packed. Beers are on a bit pricier side for a dive bar. More of a regulars type of bar. The have a jukebox, $ 1 per song. It’s a casual place to go and everyone is friendly. Bartenders were nice. Giving it 5 stars for a dive bar.

I love this place!!’ Kelly, the owner is simplely amazing. I just bought the Salon next to The Peaks, Salon Mio Mio and my friends wanted to help raise some money for me. mKelly was gracious enough to allow us to have a fund raiser there. Their bart ends were awesome and very helpful with the event. The drinks were good and my friends said the Bloody Mary is to die for. Strong drinks, great local characters, great staff. I am happy to call The Pesks my best new bar in SF. Not many dive bars left. They get all fancy with edition glaring lights and dumb mixologist drinks. The Peaks is just great. Oh and time of TVs to watch all the sports you want… Thanks again Kelly

I still like the Peaks a lot, but it is just not the same since Rose is gone. She was a great bartender, counselor, instigator, and friend. She was the person that made me feel welcome at the Peaks when I first moved to NV10 years ago. I have lost count of how many baseball games I watched with Rose at the helm.

This is one of the best neighborhood bars in SF, right in the heart of Noe Valley. The place has an awesome welcoming vibe and that is because of all the employees and owner; they are all nice/sweet, they really make you feel like you’re at home. It’s super fun on Sunday’s for football as they have all you can BBQ for just a small cost at the door($ 5!!). Love this place!

I simply adore this bar. I tried this place out on a girl’s night. Keli(the new owner) was behind the bar that night and went above and beyond as a bartender. She was so kind! When I first walked in, she saw me looking around and pointed and said, «I think your friend is sitting down there!» Since we hadn’t met before, we introduced ourselves to Keli and told her how we heard about her bar. She was so sweet and instantly made us feel like regulars. I ordered an anchor steam and my friend a stella, but upon Keli’s suggestion we ordered their seasonal beer on tap for the next round and I’m glad I did. The greatest delight of the evening though was tasting Keli’s creations. She had us try a brandied cherry she had just made and a pineapple infused vodka. Both were so great. My favorite was her homemade jungle juice that she made with real fruit. The regulars(definitely locals) were really cool as well. One of the guys started a conversation with us from the other side of the bar and everyone chimed in. I loved the atmosphere. I love dive bars but this one was special in that it felt bright and open and cheery, which is hard to master with some dive bars. Overall a relaxing and great evening and time well spent. I know they are looking to renovate the bar a bit. Even without their touchups, I would definitely still plan on returning for the people and atmosphere alone.

The first time I came here was a mid-week morning a few years ago shortly after I moved to SF. In addition to being my first visit to The Peaks, that was also my first visit to Noe Valley. All this time later, I don’t exactly remember why I stopped in — I think it was one of those days when a Bloody Mary just sounded good. At any rate, that was visit number one. I watched some Chelsea Soccer, and I talked to many locals who’s NV roots go back to the beginning. The bartender, Rose, was terrific. Now I’m almost three years into living in The City. I don’t get down to Noe Valley often, but I’m pretty sure that 90% of my visits have included a stop at The Peaks. Why? It’s an awesome neighborhood bar. There aren’t a lot of frills — but, I’m easy. Give me beer, sports on TV, a good bartender and some good clientele to chat with. I’ve never been disappointed. I love that the people I get to talk to have such a different and rooted experience in The City — it seems like a lot of places I go are filled with people like me who moved here from somewhere else. There’s a lot of good inside dirt to learn about SF from the people who have been here from their beginning. People are authentic and friendly. Check this place out if you like low-key bars and you’re down in the ‘hood.

Love this place. Yeah, its a «dive» bar and a real, unfabricated, non-hipster one too. I hope this place never changes. It’s one of the last reminders of the old blue collar, working-class neighborhood that Noe Valley once was. Real old school San Francisco bar with NO frills whatsoever! Kelly, the night time bartender is really nice and a solid bartender!

Friends and I were having a ceramics party and decided that we would head next door for a drink at ‘The Peaks’. The bar was practically empty(Sunday) and very dark, so we opted to sit in the back room because it was a pleasant day. About 7⁄10 of us purchased drinks and we proceeded to have a good time with a respectful volume. About 20 minutes in, a women started snooping around our bags and found an unopened pepsi near someones bag. She notified us that this was«wrong» and also«illegal». Since the women was clearly unstable, we acknowledged her, and shrugged it off. 30 minutes later, a small old man(owner?) started a confrontation with the entire group, claiming that we were basically free loaders and hadn’t purchased anything. We notified the gentleman that most of us had purchased drinks. This was not satisfactory, and he continued to argue about our right to exist in ‘The Peaks’. Instead of having a thermal nuclear meltdown, which easily could have happened, we decided to leave. Reading the reviews about homophobia is not surprising. When attempting to understand why this event happened, homophobia was brought up a few times as the possible impetus.

I keep trying to write this review but I get so angry that it’s been difficult to write. It was that shocking and strange. Stay out of here. My take on this establishment is they are homophobic, ignorant assholes who only allow their own kind. Not sure what they are doing running a bar in SF. Perhaps we should organize a gay flash mob?
