Myself and infant daughter were involved in a car accident when a girl text messaging re-​ended us on May 21, 2012. I was nine months pregnant at the time. Naturally I was more concerned with the safety of my infant and unborn child than suing the insured insurance company.

I recently needed a lawyer for a car accident I was in and my doctor recommended someone she knew to help my with my case. The woman said I should forget it, I was not going to get anything from the insurace company.

She was honest with me in saying that it was a difficult case and I was not likely to get a settlement from the insurance company. She basically said the same thing as the first person I had talked to, though she was more professional and straightforward in her assesment.
She agreed to call the insurance company and send a demand letter. Though I was frustrated, as I had been injured and went through a year of pain, I appreciated her honesty. I agreed and thanked her for her help and didn’t expect much, if anything.

I contacted this law firm on an insurance claim for a big medical bill that wasn’t being covered. I was very distressed about this unpaid bill and if I would have to pay it. I contacted The Hassell Law Group without knowing what they could do to help my situation. I was very surprised by how quickly they got this resolved after I hired them.
When I first contacted them I told them I was concerned about incurring legal costs since I am a teacher and don’t have the means to pay. Ms Hassell handled my case, calmed me down and told me not to worry. She resolved the medical bill with one letter and then told me she wasn’t going to charge me.

There are some things in life you don’t really learn about until they happen to you. Getting injured due to someone else’s negligence, making it necessary for you to deal with insurance companies, claims, liability etc. is one of those things. It happened to me on a fall I took on some bad sidewalk. What I know now is this: when something like this happens pause before you make your first call; don’t call your mom, don’t call your significant other, don’t even call the ambulance call an attorney. And my suggestion is that the Hassell Law Group should be that call. Heck if this ever happens to me again I’m calling her before I even get off the ground. Really. The thing you come to understand is that very small things, some of which make perfect common sense, can come back to bite you in the ass. Insurance companies might seem like they are pleasant and your friend, but in the end their only goal is to give you as little money as possible. They are always hoping you deal with them directly and always looking for ways to trip you up. All the while pretending to have your best interests at heart. They hate it when you get an attorney because they speak their language and know the game. Trust me on this, because I learned it the hard way, don’t speak to insurance companies and get an attorney asap. I pass this important information along to you and you can thank me later.
Dawn leads a great team, and while they explained to me in clear terms the difficulty of the slip and fall claim like mine, they believed I was in the right and took on the case, when others wouldn’t. They ended up getting me a settlement that was considerably more than what I expected, and I’m pretty sure much of that had to do with the fact that the insurance company knew who they were up against. You need look no further. You really could not ask for a better personal injury attorney. She has expert knowledge about the law, knows how to position your case for the best settlement, and will take it to court if that is what it takes. Furthermore, I have seen her win cases that you would think no way, my mother being one of those examples. My mother was injured but had pre-​existing conditions that made it a difficult case to argue with the insurance companies. Regardless, Dawn fought for her, using her resources at risk of no compensation in return. Before hiring Dawn, at best the medical bills would have gotten paid. Dawn with her sharp skills and tenacious fight on my mother’s behalf (as she does for all her clients) led to a significant settlement.
