History

Established in 2007.

Out of tragedy, comes triumph! Conceived in 2007, soon after my Mother’s death, «The Chocolate Grape» came alive when I thought of the name on my drive to California from the East Coast to continue my wine studies and embark on a new life.

Wine and Hospitality is what I’m all about. My passion for wine was unleashed when I worked as the Business Manager for a New York Celebrity Chef’s restaurant concept that was opened in Atlanta several years ago, just after ⁹⁄₁₁. There sparked an insatiable curiosity that has now become a full-​blown love affair with food, wine, restaurants and the hospitality industry. Prior to working in Hospitality, I paid my dues in Corporate America (including Fortune 500), with experience in Accounting and Finance, Facilities and Property Management, Outside Sales, and Corporate Training on a National Level.

The Chocolate Grape — Sommelier At YOUR Service is your personal Wine Concierge! I am a Certified Sommelier, Consultant, Wine Educator, Professional Wine Competition Judge and Licensed Bartender.

I’ve had the honor of being educated by and working alongside some of the world’s most astute hospitality professionals, including a plethora of Master Sommeliers and five (One and Two) Michelin Star Chefs.

It has also been an honor to have managed some of the Bay Area’s most notable establishments and their wine programs.
