History

Established in 2006.

For the founding members of The Bartender Company, the canned beer and two-​step mixers they found at Stanford University parties weren’t enough. They realized you need an experienced expert behind the bar, making fresh fruit cocktails with homemade syrups, to create a truly memorable celebration.

After learning mixology and obtaining a certificate from the top California bartending school, they founded Stanford’s Bartender, which quickly became the provider of choice for premium-​quality cocktails. Referrals started flowing in, the service area and team grew, and processes like their «Plan-​Party-​Polish» system were created… All with the goal of allowing participants to relax and focus on the guests, while creating an experience that was truly «once in a lifetime».

Today, after refining their bartending process over thousands of occasions over the past nine years, The Bartender Company has the expertise to help you create a celebration that surpasses all expectations.

Carlos, the director, went completely above and beyond to help with with a last minute event. He completely saved our event. Amanda, the bartender, was amazing and knowledgeable and went out of her way to study up on our kosher needs.

The Bartender Company was FABULOUS! We were hosting an in-​house event for our employees and needed a bartender that would be all-​inclusive. They arrived right on time, set everything up (brought their own table, tablecloth, fresh fruit, all mixers, cups, ice and liquor) and were super accommodating from start to finish. Carlos was a great communicator and Andy (the bartender) was super friendly, approachable and knowledgable. They offered three signature drinks which we were able to custom-​name to fit our culture and they printed them out on a little plaque. They even let me create my own drink! Clean up was quick and easy as well.
I will absolutely use them again and highly recommend their service as we had no complaints whatsoever.

The entire process with The Bartender Company was in a word: Amazing. From the initial contact through the execution of the contract as well as the event itself, they proved the meaning of exemplary customer service. We were having a birthday bash for a dear friend in an outdoor setting for roughly 40+ people. Dane, the bartender, was on time, set up without a hitch and made all of the guests have a wonderful time. Super outgoing and friendly but professional and courteous! They made the event go off without a hitch! Thank you Thank you! Oh, and for the service and Full Bar, it was right on target. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and prices. All my wedding guests complemented the bar tenders for their professionalism and ability to keep the bar area entertaining. Even though I had never tried my signature drink they made it perfect! The advise Carlos gave us on the amount of beer and wine to purchase helped and was spot on. The Bartender Company is awesome! They were phenomenal to work with and provided the best drinks for our wedding reception. The margaritas were some of the best I’ve ever had and all our guests said the same. Our bartender Dane was charming and knowledgeable and a joy to have at our party. Leading up to the wedding Carlos was so easy to work with and responsive. He accomodated all of our requests and made us so happy. Carlos even came by with a special bottle of champagne as a gift for us. We highly recommend you use them if you want to delight your guests!

There are occasions when having the right touches on an important event says a lot about the event and who you are. Recently my employer was hosting an event for important clients upon a ship. We hired The Bartender Company to provide drink service on the ship with over 100 guests.
While cruising the choppy San Francisco bay, two amazing bartenders took care of over 100 clients with the type of professionalism you hope to expect and of course deserve. This dynamic-​duo was well prepared for the event and served smoothly despite the waves.
The best part of working with The Bartender Company was we received million-​dollar service at a reasonable price.

I normally stay away from hard liquor but the mango whiskey he concocted was amazeballs. Same goes with the margarita!
Carlos was very professional yet friendly. He was kind enough to fly all the way to Vancouver to host our afterparty drinks. He did the shopping and setup the same day he arrived and we didn’t even notice he was there till the party started. No fuss and frills and very respectful of our working schedule. The drinks were outstanding so I’m definitely looking forward to having him at office again.

We hired TBC for a corporate party last week, just one bartender serving delicious cocktails to 60+ of our thirstiest team members. It was a hit: we started at 6pm and most people were still at the office until midnight! TBC mixed the drinks, pressed the fresh fruit, and handled an awesome music soundtrack without missing a beat.
I was very impressed even though I’m familiar with Carlos and his bar for quality (pun intended!). The setup, event itself, and cleanup were all friction-​free (for us!), TBC took care of the entire experience.
I would say go to TBC when you want an exceptional experience from all perspectives. Treat them well and they’ll return the favor 100x!

Carlos and his crew did an awesome job at our wedding. They kept the drinks flowing and kept the affair classy, exactly what we wanted. Great drinks… our guests had a good time! They were also able to move the bar from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor reception smoothly (unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the bar area).
Before the wedding, Carlos was very professional. He was quick to respond to emails and dealt with the venue in a professional manner. Definitely not a vendor we had to worry about.
My only negative is that they forgot to pour wine at the sweetheart table during dinner. We were too busy hosting to make it to the bar, so we never got to try the wine. We did get our champagne though!

I hired The Bartender Company for a corporate event and extremely pleased with the results.
Carlos and Andy were thoughtful, attentive, and arrived early. Armed with only a vague suggestion that it be «speakeasy themed», they put together a delicious cocktail menu while keeping a fully stocked bar on hand for any other drinks people wanted.
They served our attendees with a courteous attitude and a smile on their face. And when we had some guests spill wine on the carpet of the event location, they stayed late to help us wash it out. The Bartender Company went above and beyond to help us and make this a successful event. I give them my highest recommendation.

I highly recommend The Bartender Company! We recently had a company party for about 150 people, and Carlos helped us plan everything — It went off without a hitch.
Carlos was extremely attentive and communicative throughout the planning process. We had him come to our office for a walk-​through, and he decided the best places to put the bar, and gave us recommendations for our drink options.
We had four bartenders throughout the party, and all of them were super friendly, professional, and know their stuff.
We made a last minute decision to extend the party for an extra hour, and they stayed without hesitation. Great customer service!

I have worked with this company on a couple of holiday parties. I’ve liked all the bartenders, but I will say Carlos is a phenomenal mixologist.
They are extremely professional and well organized. I also love that they completely roll with the punches. We hired The Bartender Company for a 2 hour evening event after an all day conference. The owner, Carlos, was great to work with on the Stanford Campus as most of the people in the approval process know him and his company and it was very easy to get the event approved. Carlos also knew exactly what information he needed for the insurance policy — which made my job even easier.
On the day of the event he and his colleague were right on time, we handed over the drinks and an hour later they were chilled and ready to serve. Most of our attendees appreciated his setup — very professional and well organized. And he did a great job of keeping our folks happy.
The next time we are looking for a bartender we are definitely giving Carlos and his team a call!

Carlos was our bartender at our 30th birthday party at the Rengstorff House 2 weeks ago. He was amazing! He helped me prepare and create our cocktail menu weeks before-​hand via email. We did the whole «bring your own booze”-package and let Carlos bring the sodas, fruits, cups etc. He even sent us a very specific and detailed shopping list before the event so it was easy to get everything we need. On the day of the event he showed up on time, set everything up and was very easy to communicate with. Throughout the night our guests kept telling us how awesome he was! His services was definitely well worth the $ and I have already recommended him to several of my friends. Would definitely hire Carlos and The Bartender Company if I need a bartender again in the future!
PS. Get your alcohol at BevMo, as of this review they accept unopened and unchilled bottles (Costco doesn’t anymore)
