Paul was the best. He knows so much about wine and his smooth kind voice is the perfect background to your wine induced buzz.
He will customize your tour to your taste. If you know a little or a lot, he will take you where you want to go.
Don’t know? Don’t worry. He does.
The private tour is a lot more expensive. Worth every penny.

5 stars from start to finish! I was in charge of organizing a wine tour in Sonoma for a bachelorette party. Michelle, who I assume works at Terrific Tours HQ, guided me through the entire process of setting up a wine tour, making it easy and stress free! They will set up an itinerary according to your wine preferences/​budget and they book all the appointments for you (you can also set it up yourself, if desired).
Ryan, our guide for the day, was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend Ryan — he was informative, accommodating, and entertaining. He even took a few (okay, a lot of) pictures for us at each winery.
I would definitely recommend Terrific Tours to anyone seeking a fun time in wine country!

Great tour! Ryan was very informative of the wineries, wine and just the Sonoma area in general. He sat with us at most of places and was just a great addition to our small group of 7. He was so accommodating to let us visit a winery-​where we knew the owner-​what a highlight it was that we were able to stop there! Ryan was also helpful to make sure we got on the right ferry when it was time to head back to the city. Thank you Ryan, for a great fun-​filled day. It was our first time to Sonoma wine country and we’re so happy that you were able to make the experience a great one! If you’re looking for a wine tour, definitely pick this one-​best of all, you get to enjoy all the wine and not have to worry about driving!

We had an absolute blast yesterday on our tour! Ryan was a great guide. He did a nice job of making everyone feel comfortable, giving us a little history of California wine and taking us to some awesome wineries. We were actually able to go to 4 total. Ryan suggested they we skip lunch in the square and eat at one of the wineries and we are so glad he did! The food at VJB was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you Ryan & Terrific Tours for such a wonderful time!

We took a private tour from the city with Terrific Tours ($ 695). Overall the tour was good, however there were a few things that resulted in the less than stellar eview:
— Our driver wanted to stop and break to use the restroom before we got to the first winery (none of us needed or wanted to stop). While I understand that this is a legitimate reason, it meant that it was Noon before we actually got to a winery. This was a tour I setup for a friend’s birthday and we communicated that to the driver, so the birthday party was restless.
— For lunch, he took us to an area where he told us that we could picnic. Five minutes into the «picnic» he told us that the winery owner said we cannot picnic there. He told us to hurry up, but shoving a sandwich down my throat is not my idea of relaxing.
— On the way home, he offered to drop us off at the Larkspur Ferry instead of dropping us at the hotel. While this sounds nice, we would have had to wait for 55 minutes for the next ferry (who wants to do that??). So we asked him if he would drop us at the hotel where he picked us up. He was clearly annoyed, but agreed to do it for an extra $ 100.
Overall, the tour guide was knowledgeable, but the overall experience was below expectations for the price that we paid.

I came to both Napa Valley and Sonoma County with a group of 10 people and had the honor of having Jason as our driver on both days. He was extremely informative and kind. He genuinely became a part of the group. Thanks to Jason, our trip was amazing. Terrific Tours was also very easy to work with and very amicable. I highly recommend the company, and if given the choice, ask for Jason.

We had Jason as our guide on tours to Napa And Sonoma and he was awesome. He went above and beyond-​on our Napa tour he took us to a beautiful lookout of the Golden Gate and on the Sonoma tour he stayed later than scheduled to take us to In N Out Burger and a brewery at the end of the day. He was very personable and made the rides there and back very fun. Thanks Jason!

We went on a full day Sonoma tour with Ryan and it was fantastic!!! We made it to 4 wineries (Simi, Vizlay, Château Diana, and Blanchard) and they all had great charm!!! Simi was great for its historic tour, but Vizlay and Blanchard made the trip for me! While at Vizlay, we got to sit and chat with the wine maker/​owner on his back porch, try some of his fantastic collection of wines and just take in the amazing scenery which was his vineyard. At Blanchard its a slightly different scene since it is at a warehouse, but the owner is fantastic and we barrel tasted delicious red wines (which I’m very excited to receive in the wine club) along with decorating wine barrels with chalk. The only choice I was not very fond of was Château Diana which was chosen for its sweeter wines. A pair of friends kept saying they really enjoy the sweeter wines. Ryan did a wonderful job accommodating everyone just wasn’t for me. Ryan’s knowledge, personality, and expertise made the trip even more enjoyable, especially for my non wine enthusiast husband who throughly enjoyed himself.

We went out on a Terrific Tour last weekend with Travis. We had an absolute blast on our trip. He had tons of great information, but, most importantly, he asked our group what we wanted to do and tailored the trip accordingly, even squeezing in a fourth winery and putting us on a slightly later afternoon ferry.
Our group was a mix of locals and tourists and everyone had a blast and agreed it would be awesome to come back.
Additionally, since we had 10 people, we did get to have our own private trip. The people answering the phones at Terrific Tours were great too, since we started with only 6 wine tasters and eventually got up to the full sized group.
I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone wanting a great wine-​tasting experience!

Brent Augustine took my family on a tour of Sonoma and Napa. He was a wealth of information and made sure to tailor the experience to our wine preferences.
The next time my wife and I are in San Francisco, we are going to book time with Brent to have him take us on a tour of the super reds in the area.
Hopefully his son will want to bake cookies again on the night before… They were just as good as the wines

The initial experience from booking and meeting our tour guide was EXCELLENT!!!; however, I feel the vineyards we went to were sub-​par. The first one had great ambiance, the second one was in a barn (still great); the third one… well it was in a ‘parking lot’. With SO many great vineyards, it was very disappointing… oh well

We had an amazing tour with Jason. He was willing to adapt the tour to our needs, and knew way more than any man has the right to know about wine. Most impressively, he changed the schedule of the trip for us, bringing us to an entirely different winery when he began to figure out what we did and didn’t like.
The trip was great, full of cheesy jokes, beautiful views, and of course amazing wine. I would definitely recommend doing a trip with these guys to all my friends.

Kimya was a fantastic tour guide as he was able to handle our group of 10 Texas women. He is apparently a big wig, because everywhere we went, he was approached with delight.
Our bachelorette group had a «set» schedule, but we annoyingly changed up every aspect while on our Sonoma trip. Though I don’t recommend creating hassle for your guide, Kimya was able to roll with the punches and assist us through every step. When we felt we were having such a good time that we wanted to extend our welcome at one winery, he made the call to the next stop to inform them of our tardiness. When we were ready for lunch, he was knowledgeable at listing his recommendations. Kimya was able to provide practical responses to all our questions without hesitation.
Easygoing, smooth time that made it a great experience for our group.
P. S. Call him «kimye», he loves that.

Terrific tours is a great name for this. Jason was our guide through Napa Valley & Sonoma, he took us to all the best wineries to fit our taste. He never tired of our questions. He was knowledgeable, helpful and his service to our group of 9 was above and beyond! We highly recommend Jason! This tour was a blast. I will be visiting again and will request him! 5 stars.

We had a small group of three and none of us were familiar with any of the wine countries. Our original trip was scheduled for 12÷11÷14 which ended up being the same day as the «super storm». Brenda was great in suggesting we change our trip to Friday instead, with no extra costs.
Friday came and it was still raining, however Travis had a plan for us. Rule #1 … Wine tasting is an inside sport. Rule #2 … Trust your tour guide.
Our hope was to visit the Russian River Valley but due to flooding we made our way into Sonoma where we enjoyed four boutiques and one larger winery. It was great. Travis was very very knowledgeable. The weather cleared and we had tons of fun. And Travis didn’t even mind that two of us may have tasted a bit too much wine along the way. :)
We we were able to get some amazing photos, met some great people and enjoyed some awesome wine. What an amazing day we had …

My first visit to Sonoma was through Terrific Tours, and I’ll absolutely book through this company for future winery trips. Ryan was a fantastic guide, mixing interesting facts about wine with funny anecdotes and an engaging personality.
We were picked up promptly in Fisherman’s Wharf and made a pit stop for photos at the Golden Gate Bridge. Then, we had the pleasure of seeing FIVE wineries throughout the day, with a stop in Sonoma Square for lunch.
From Viansa’s gorgeous architecture to the bubbles at Gloria Ferrer, Ryan took us to each destination safely — and we never had to wait in lines! My mom and I enjoyed the personal guidance from both Ryan and each winery’s staff, and we were able to sample more than 20 varieties throughout the day’s visits.
I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in trying a variety of wines in either Sonoma or Napa. For $ 130, you can’t beat the quality and convenience we enjoyed.

Booked a private tour for my mother and I. All day tour of Napa. Guide was Jason. What a great «pairing»! He did a great job of picking wineries that we would enjoy based in our wine tastes. He even adjusted our tour as we went to suit our tastes! We met the owners of 2 of the wineries and could not have felt more special. I fee pretty good about the price paid for the level of service. He even helped us decide where to stop for lunch… Dean & Deluca! Was perfect. Simply amazing day. Thank you, Terrific Tours!

Our guide Jason was amazing. He picked us up at our hotel, brought us to various places and then dropped us back off at our hotel. He really knew everything to know about wine, and presented us a great deal of information in a down to earth manner, bringing us to really amazing wineries. We came from new york to the napa valley to have some really great california wines. We went to three really great wineries that I wont disclose because theyre his connections apparently. Also showed some interest in beer and hops and he took us as a suprise to a new local brewer and hopyard on the way back! We had a great time and I’d recommend him to anyone.
Most memorable experience was eating lunch on a table overlooking a vineyard in a valley on the side of a mountain. That was a real holy shit moment. Really amazing.
