Tap415 is pretty cool. It has a cool design with it’s open and airy seating. Super easy to pull up to the bar, lots of tv’s, It’s kinda like the mall version of a «gastropub». The layout is similar to what you might find at Terminal 2 at SFO. Stopped in for a quick lunch before a beer tour, otherwise I would have ordered some more beer. They’re regular milkshakes look good but their adult ones look better — 415 slide with vanilla ice cream, stout, bailey’s, and cookie crumble sounded pretty legit. Their signature TAP415 burger($ 14), which came with TEMPURABACON, lettuce, cheddar, pickled onion, and this togarashi remoulade(spiked mayo) was one of the most interesting burgers I’ve had in a while. Nice soft bun made the burger easy to bite through and you get this nice texture from the crispy crunch of the tempura bacon. The only thing. It was just soooo salty. You’d definitely need a few beers to wash it down. The beef patty was on the skinny side, reminded me of the patty at in-n-out, just super thin and with everything going on the beef flavor got lost. The nice home made chips were good, bbq flavor but just like the burger, little bit too much on the salty side. Better than Bistro burger on the lower level food court. BUT if you’re visiting from out of town, I’d probably say walk about 7 minutes and go to the Super Duper burger on Market for a better burger.

This place is on the 3rd floor in the mall. The wait staff is kinda slow and kitchen. It took 15 minutes to get our beer & wine order. Over priced menu. Go ONLYHAPPYHOUR. Two people; $ 85 at 2pm!

Finally a decent place to eat at in the mall! The food very great! So was the ambience! I ordered the blackened Chicken burger and oh God it was delicious. I finished it in under 8 minutes. The chicken was the right balance between tender and crisp. He bun was on the thicker side but quite fresh. The tater tots came with this really amazing sauce. The food took a little while to come to us but it was worth the wait. The restaurant itself is very nice. Lots of lighting and some tv screen for you sports fans. Plenty of tables though it feels a little cramped at first the restaurant has no boundary between itself and the mall so it feels very spacious. Great place to bring your family/parents as they can get some shopping done at the mall and then get dinner at TAP415. And then even catch a movie at AMC Metreon.

One day, my friend and I decided to try a joint in the upper level of Westfield. We usually go to the food court and have a great experience but never have tried the upstairs restaurants so happy hour at Tap415 was going to happen! Super nice place. The black white and red colors show a super hip contrast and makes the place look modern. I love the light fixtures around the place, offers a ton of light! There’s a super clean bar area with tons of glasses to ensure the crowds. Our server at the bar was alright. They were going through a shift change and seemed to focus more on that. For HH, we kept it simple and went with the BBQ chips for $ 1 and bacon wrapped little dogs with beer mustard for $ 4.15. The chips were dusted with a BBQ flavoring and was your average BBQ chips, worth the $ 1 price. The dogs were not.(4) very little dogs over a bed of mustard, the bacon was so dried out and so were the dogs. Kind of a let down. Because of that, we decided not to continue with dinner. I feel bad giving a rating like this but I’ll certainly give them another chance to change my mind. I think this place has potential, our day was just not the day I guess.

I guess I ordered the wrong things here because I really thought the food was mediocre – maybe it’s my fault for not ordering a burger at a burger type of joint! :D That being said. the service was excellent, the place was clean and the atmosphere was cool sitting by the rotunda. I’m sure I will give them another chance but if you come here please skip the Tuna Melt! A slice of bread with blended up tuna, melted cheese and tomatoes on top – bland and mushy. Also, you can get better fries at burger king. Sorry TAP but don’t worry I will give you a second chance to redeem yourself. ;)

Really quite ordinary, despite the nice interior and the interesting-looking menu. But if I’m at the mall I’d be more inclined to visit one of the other places before coming here again. The beer menu is decent — there are quite a few things on tap, and a lot of them should be recognizable to folks in the area who like beer. The food menu is like an extensive pub menu, heavy on the meat, with burgers, sandwiches, and fried items. However, the meats weren’t spectacular, and the burger wasn’t especially good that I’d come here over Super Duper. It seems like the place to be if you want a few beers and you don’t want to venture out of the mall. Or if you really, really like American food, as the mall food here trends Asian right now.

Good, fresh ingredients and a variety of fun cocktails and beers. My small kale salad was generously sized, and the appetizers were provided more than enough for our party of four to share. The one downside was that our waiter forgot about us. However, he was courteous and helpful when we did see him. I’d definitely eat there again.

Stumbled upon this place as I was searching for a spot to grab a bite to eat and drink for happy hour around 3pm on a rainy Monday. Apparently, a lot of people had a similar idea, as the place was packed. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were seated in the dining room. Side note: When we arrived, I guess we must have come through the back entrance and noticed a sign that said«Please seat yourself.» After seating ourselves we were asked to go and wait at the front as they said the sign was there in error. After heading to the front, we were seated right away by the wait staff at the kiosk, only to be told that we had to get up once again and wait for a table(after we had just been told we could be seated). I don’t know why the staff was so confused, but this didn’t start us off on the right foot for our dining experience. Anyways, we ordered several things, mostly from the happy hour menu: Drinks Bourbon mule(4 stars): I started off with this drink and really enjoyed it – nice ginger flavor and easy on the palette. Arnold Palmer with vodka(3 stars): Though this was easy to drink, I was a little less impressed with the flavor and felt like it was light on alcohol. Food BBQ Chips(4 stars): These was a steal for $ 1 and have a nice, intense BBQ flavor to them that borders on spicy. Pork Slider(3 stars): I had high hopes for the pork sliders. I don’t know if it is because I was expecting pulled pork, but these were pretty small and very underwhelming. Tuna tartare(3 stars): This dish has some potential as the flavor of the tartare is good. However, the small portions and having it served over a BBQ chip really takes away from the flavor of the tuna, which is disappointing. Shrimp taco(3 stars): Again this dish has some potential, but the flavors were really overpowered by the guacamole and the shrimp was lost in the shuffle. However, unlike some of the other dishes, this was a decent size for the price. Regular burger(3 stars): This was the sole dish we ordered off of the regular menu. This was a decent size, but I found myself craving a little more seasoning and flavor in the meat. Overall, we found this place after looking for a good happy hour spot near Union Square. Needless to say, I think they were a bit overwhelmed on the day that we visited and their service and food suffered. In addition, though on paper it seems like they have some good value with their happy hour menu, most of the portions are minuscule and not even worth the cheaper price – as evidenced by other patrons ordering dishes off the regular menu that were also featured on the happy hour menu. Just a quick word of advice: If you are going to have a happy hour menu, make it worthwhile. Don’t just knock down prices and then cut down portion sizes – sadly, most dishes weren’t even worth the happy hour pricing in my opinion.

Yummy burgers altho the bacon tempura not that great(too hard and dry). Good location away from the hubbub of the mall and great place to take a work buddy for some burgers and beer. Pretzel appetizer looks nice, tastes fine and comes with a good melted cheese sauce… hard to judge as im not a soft pretzel person

MmmK, I came here once with a small group several months back. This will review will be short, as not too much was memorable — was hoping for more. We grabbed our own seats in the cafeteria style dining tables, and also grabbed our orders. I got the following: –Tuna Tartare –Seared Octopus –Bratwurst –Adult Milkshake: 415 Slide? The thing about octopus is this: either you nail it, or you don’t. Something peculiar about the texture was going on – a bit too chewy. Did enjoy their bratwurst, but served with chips??? Feels more BBQ than a compliment to octopus and tuna. Do believe I had the 415 Slide — several of us got an adult milkshake, but the specific one does not quite ring a bell anymore. I think I had higher expectations for this place before arriving, based on all of the commotion I’d heard. Inattentive service here. Hoo-ahh.

nice bar & mall food restaurant. love that its hardly crowded hate the seating arrangement. the drinks are a bit on the sweet side but the food is pretty good. Hot steak frites are amazing as well as the pastrami sandwich. definitely cannot complain about the food but the prices are a bit excessive. negatives? service was abysmal. our server took 5 mins before coming over to even give us a menu then looked our way 2 times but did not come over til 20 mins later(we had to flag down the manager). Once we got our food we never once got checked on until we were ready to pay. lack of customer service during a dead night was troubling.

I feel bad, but we really tried hard to like this place. The positive: the beer selection, the location(inside Westfield Mall), the many TV’s cranking out the Warriors game and the brownie. A GREAT place to send the hubby or boyfriend while you shop – for that alone, it’s a God-send. The negatives? Oh boy, here we go. The overly relaxed and painstakingly slow service. They don’t have real Diet Coke. They allegedly were out of pretzel bites, but yet we saw other tables being served them throughout our meal. The medium temperature on a burger is really medium rare, so be prepared to send it back. All of this might have been given a pass had they acknowledged something. But they didn’t seem to care and well, oh well.

OMG where’s the octopus okay you get –1 for no more octopus. This is one of the reasons I come here. Sure the beer is good. it is really convenient and they have a daily HH at 3−6pm. I do like their Tap Burger. So recommend that one. The seating has been pretty convenient though the day I came me and my High school classmates wanted the backroom but it was closed. OMG there’s potential revenue in that room. Oh well I’ll still give you 4 stars. I will still recommend you til you completely piss me off. But right now the beer, burgers, seats, and tv’s means you get +1 for all those points –1 for no octopus.

This place is like a gastropub so you will find hearty and heavy food so cannot go wrong with that. The tater tots and pretzel nuggets are my favorites for snacking. Everyone seemed to like the Tap Burger or, like me, thought it was not bad but just average. The BBQ chips as a side is good but salty. The fries were good if you’ve been drinking, otherwise it was also average. Having said that, this is actually decent for mall food and the convenience makes it worthwhile for a visit. The seating is open space — without dividers or walls — and almost every table feels like a communal table as spacing between tables is narrow. You can say seating is like a beer-garden set indoor. The only way to get here is through the mall, and because a mall gets high-traffic, the prices are a bit above what you can get at similar places elsewhere. That is the trade off. Note they have good deals for Happy Hour. Also, they close at 9pm because the mall closes at 9pm. There is a private area in the back for parties.

If you’re looking to satisfy the need for a between-meals snack, you should just eat. I know that goes against everything your mama said, but yo mama so fat she sat on an iPhone and turned it into an iPad. Yo mama so fat she has two watches one for each time zone she’s in. Yo mama so fat she blocks the WiFi signal. Oh dear, I could just go on, but this is about my recent experience at TAP415 when Jamie W. and I decided to stop by after we took in an early afternoon showing of «Grandma» at the Century Theaters. We were feeling rather peckish since we didn’t have a bucket of popcorn during the movie, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to have some bar bites to hold us over until dinner. I’ve passed by this expansive space before, usually when it’s crowded with the youth of America or the tourists of the Far East, so it was with surprising ease that we sidled up to a high-top table for two. There’s a small Happy Hour menu from 3−6PM, so that’s where we perused. We started with a couple of $ 7 John Daly Cocktails, which if you didn’t know, are Arnold Palmers with vodka(photo: ). While they were undeniably refreshing, we were missing the kick we were hoping to feel when they went down our respective gullets. We decided to share three dishes, the first being the small $ 6 Cezar Kale Salad, which mixed baby kale with Parmesan, parsley and lemon gremolata(photo: ). It was a light salad suitable for a tea party at your Aunt Rose’s condo. We segued into the $ 4.15 Cornmeal Battered Onion Rings with Blue Cheese Sauce, which sounded like a good deal until we saw just the four rings on the plate(photo: ). Tasty though as we did our best to stretch them out. The last of our order was the same-priced Bacon Wrapped Little Dogs with Beer Mustard(photo: ). Good also but barely four bites to be had. The Lilliputian portions presumably reflect what the owners felt were commensurate with a Happy Hour appetite, but we felt they should have sprung for more vodka in order to make the small plates look larger than they were. And yes, you do feel like you’re in the middle of a shopping mall. FOOD/DRINKS — 3 stars… Happy Hour portions didn’t satisfy as much as I had hoped, cocktails need more kick AMBIANCE — 3 stars… clean, open space but you never forget you’re in a mall SERVICE — 2.5 stars… OK, little more than that TOTAL — 3 stars… acceptable enough as a respite, not sure whether I’m motivated enough to come back for a full meal

We had an event at Bespoke so came here to grab a bite. Highly rate the Tap Burger(they offer gluten free buns). We got a half liter carafe of the Malbec which after airing and sitting for a bit, was ok($ 32 for half liter). The arugula salad was actually really delicious. A fruit fly did actually fly into my wine glass and the manager/Maitre’D speedily went to get me a clean glass as well as filled our carafe up again. They do have happy hour between 3 – 6 daily. A great cocktail list too. It’s a good pit stop spot for those long shopping days :-)

This is a decent bar. Nothing really special about the place. Customer service is friendly and efficient. The food and drinks are hit and miss. Based on my previous visits, the Tap Burger was pretty good. It was made perfectly. The burger was correctly cooked to medium. It was juicy. The bun and toppings were fresh. I also liked their BBQ chips. it was fresh, crispy, and flavorful. It was also cheap. The pretzel nuggets were also good. The pretzels were moist and tender. The cheese dip was creamy. The alcoholic milkshake(Smoke in the Morning) was good. It was a Irish Coffee Milkshake. Not too creamy, not too sweet, and not too boozy. The Pimm’s 415 was disappointing. The flavor was good, but the drink seemed a little strong. It was not refreshing or thirst quenching. Pimm’s cup usually come in a large glass, because it is a weak drink. Also, I did not like the presentation of the beverage. The bacon wrapped dogs were OK, but overpriced. Overall the food and drinks were OK, but pricey.

Even after acknowledging this is only, «Mall Food» the value here still sucks. She had the, «Smoke in the Morning.» The description sounds wonderful. The execution was horrible. When you read the description with it’s caol ila scotch, coffee ice cream, whipped cream and hazelnut brittle you get really excited but as soon as it arrives you get really sad. First, the ice cream completely melted into a broth before it had even arrived. Second, you couldn’t taste the rainbow of flavor that you were promised because the hazelnut was so over ground that it was just a fine powder. Disgusting. I had the Firestone IPA. On Tap! Get this, it’s outstanding! She had the Bratwurst. The sausage was good but was served on something similar to a two day old sun dried pretzel from the El Darado country fair. This thing was so hard it could have been served with an ice pick and hammer. The Tap Burger was my choice and maybe not the thing to get. Apparently, it had bacon on it but because it was so deep fried the bacon was dry and had no flavor. The meat was ok but there were little to no spices on it. The bun was excellent. Another meal that I will never get back.

It’s in a mall, but it was close and it sounded pretty decent. The seating is sort of family style with close tables and a seat yourself atmosphere at least for lunch. I was intrigued by these Russian tator tots, but when I saw the menu I wished I wasn’t alone as I wanted to try the mac and cheese and the pretzel bites, but alas I digress. The tots. Meh to the tots. The caraway seeds were almost nonexistent, and the dressing on the side was just Russian dressing. I kept retrying them every so often to see if I liked them, but I just didn’t. Sonic tots and ketchup are better. I had the Tap Burger. I am a traditionalist in burgers. I just want the meat, American cheese, and white onions, but I went for it. I took a bite and it was good. Then I ditched the buns. Way too much bread for this. I got to really taste that tempura bacon and the meat with the veggies and remoulade. Loved the bacon! Just do that as an app Tap415! Overall for a $ 14 burger that I had to ditch the heavy bread on it wasn’t the greatest, but that bacon…

TAP415 is a decent addition to the Restaurant Collection on the top floor of the SF Westfield Shopping Center. It’s a great spot for meeting with friends and having some pretty good gastropub fare. I’ve only been here one time for food service, so I’ve only had a short sampling of their menu. I’ve had their Tap Burger and ordered their Mac n Cheese for my side dish. Tap Burger — Tempura Bacon, Cheddar, Lettuce, Onion, Togarashi Remoulade The Tap Burger wasn’t too bad but it’s not one that I’d come back again and again for. The Tempura Bacon does give it an interesting twist but in the end it gets lost with the all the veggies. Overall it tasted just like regular burger, which isn’t a bad thing though. One caveat for me was that it doesn’t come with fries, but it does come with a nice assortment of pickled veggies. Aged Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese — Instead of ordering fries to compliment the Tap Burger, I decided on the getting the Aged Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese. This was good too, a little dry, but a solid side dish. The cheddar cheese was still intact and wasn’t absorbed into the macaroni. Service here has been okay for the most part. I came here once with a few friends for drinks and apps and the server was nice and attentive. The other time I came for food, my server got everything I needed but she didn’t seem that enthusiastic. It was late in the day though and she was probably fatigued. I’d recommend TAP415 for a nice bite to eat if you’re shopping inside the shopping center. It’s definitely one of the more affordable options from the Restaurant Collection. I haven’t been there during peak hours or games, but I’m betting that it does get crowded on those occasions, especially since they have a dedicated room for watching games. The food is decent and their drink menu is pretty extensive from what I’ve seen on their menu.
