Our philosophy of teaching is health and fitness first. It is always your best defense to be in great shape to take on the every day stresses of normal life. We build athleticism, confidence, ability and have a great time doing it, all with the wonderful byproduct of self defense.

History

Established in 2007.

With nearly 30 years of martial arts experience and 20 years of teaching I created the Tao of Kung Fu to be and exciting place where any person could train and build the skills they wanted to focus on. I have had a couple dozen teachers over the last three decades and along with my own experiences, have compiled the funnest, most stimulating way to train I could imagine. The Tao of Kung Fu has become a place of fitness, health, nutrition, boot-camp style conditioning, where we focus on fun, quality training in a safe environment and inspiring each other to live better, healthier lives. I can’t wait to see you in classes!

Matthew L.

Business Owner

Matthew has studied and practiced martial arts for 30 years with a primary focus in kung fu. Owning a school in Las Vegas NV, he has taught for 20 years and has now relocated the headquarters of his organization to the Bay area.

His classes are intense, fun and efficiently teach self defense, health and fitness in a safe, positive, comfortable environment. A great supplement to yoga practice, they involve body mechanics, coordination drills, strength, cardio and flexibility training as well as meditation and qigong techniques.

You are guaranteed to have an enjoyable time training with him and will walk away happy with the knowledge and experience of his classes!
