Meanest barber ever! Do not go here! I brought my two boys in for haircuts — he yelled at my kids and refused to cut their hair because they had gel in their hair already. He was so rude. Completely unbelievable.

So happy and satisfied with my haircut (and I’m usually only satisfied with about 20% of my haircuts).
Robert is a master at cutting hair with 52+ years of experience. He is super friendly, efficient and knew exactly how I wanted my hair cut. The hot lather neck shave was a nice plus too.
Also, $ 25 for a high quality haircut in this city? Pretty difficult to beat this quality to price ratio.

Just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and have been on the hunt for a new barbershop. I have found my place! Robert is extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Prior to my haircut, he asked me exactly how I wanted my haircut and kept checking in as he was cutting my hair. The results were amazing, and he cut my hair exactly as I had asked. He has been in the industry for many years and is a master at his profession. He takes walk ins as well as appointments. Compared to other barbers in San Francisco, Robert’s prices are very affordable and he gets you in and out in no time. I definitely will return!
Also a plus, he is great with kids!

Robert is a master of his craft. His prices are perfect for keeping my son looking sharp. We’ve tried everywhere: snippety crickets, prep, super cuts. He knows what he’s doing and my son loves everything about going there. We’re regulars now!

The WORST barber I have ever been to in my entire life! Do not go here!!!
This guy will butcher your hairdo and then act like its yo’ fault. He is so bad it’s hard to believe he’s even a real barber.
Went in to get a cut almost 4 weeks ago and I’m still pissed off. It wasn’t just the worst cut I ever had in my life, it was how rude this guy was. Just never seen anything like it. Then I read Unilocal reviews for his previous shops in Cali which – no surprise, are all closed now. Take a look. Bunch of reviews saying he’s a homophobic, racist douche bag. Guess some people never learn.
There are a hundred other normal barber shops out there. For those of you that remember how awesome the original Asano’s barber shop was in this location – this ain’t it! Spare yourself the misery and stay away from this terrible place.

Robert is a craftsman! Born in Italy and 55 years in the business and he knows men’s (and boys) hair. Stylists are for women guys — the technique is different and real barbers like Robert have maintained the craft! The place is newly opened so he is just getting it to look nice. But, lots of nostalgia and stuff worth looking at. I will be back every month!

The Asano Barber shop is now Talarico’s Barber Shop… my experience has been great with Robert — I’ve been there 3 times so far. I get a buzz-​cut, so it’s pretty straight forward. However, he uses a straight razor to clean up the neck, and is friendly and easy to talk to.
