Super One is has the typical beer pricing adds in front making one think it’s a typical ‘hood liquor/cig shop. once inside, ii’s apparent Super One is more a mini dollar store/convenience market/hardware store than a liquor store. all home needs are present. items pricier than dollar stores though. lots of soft drinks, some beers, not all priced. buys: 3 bags frito chips, 3/$ 1. take outs: –certainly not a destination –4 stars if one lives in the area.

Wide range of goods, low end price and mixture of low end– reasonable quality household products. In general their hardware are much cheaper than those hardware stores around but they only carry the more generic items, its my first stop before heading down to the other hardware stores on polk street. Friendly team of burmese owners and I like that it open till pretty late!

OK Super One absolutely rules. Think cheap-miniature-Chinese-run target. They literally have everything you need for life in SF. So far I’ve bought: Ice, Mouse Traps, Salad Bowl, Porn DVDs(they are sorted by category — anal /lesbian /teen /etc), Luggage, Canned Soup, Food Processor, Bong, Super Glue, HDMI cable, Toilet Paper, Chewing Tobacco, Wok, Chinese Tide Detergent(complete with sticker that proclaims No Phosphates!). They have a large selection of all the goods that you’d find in Target or Walmart. But they pretty much just have one brand and it is usually the cheap Chinese made version of the item. I like going here especially because it feels like I’m sticking it to «The Man». Screw Walgreens and its overpriced downtown stores. Now here’s hoping I don’t get cancer from wiping my ass with«Softem» brand toilet paper!
