Nice place, perfect if you are in the city and need a wash machine. The laundry is big, clean and cheap. You can wait drinking an organic coffee or watching TV.

Great service and reasonable prices. Went during a slower time and the manager watched my laundry and put it in the dryer for me while I had gone to grab lunch. The wifi is also convenient!

The owner is very nice! He gave me a little free detergent since I forgot mine at home, helped me make change for the machines, and chatted with me a bit, even offering me help in finding a new job when I mentioned I was looking. The café is cute and plays good music, and the laundry machines are reasonably priced. definitely gonna keep coming here.

The owner is really nice and helpful which is why I am giving this café/laundry spot 3 stars. I really wanted to like this café, I live down the block and the concept of a café and laundry spot sounded like the perfect combo… BUT…in this case it doesn’t really work. Aside from almost half of the washers and dryers being out of order, there are constantly shady characters milling in and out. I don’t know if this is because of the area(TL) or not, but I don’t really want to have my laptop out when there are literal crack heads taking a nap next to me. I am not trying to sound insensitive its just a matter of feeling comfortable and safe. They have free wifi which is awesome but they BLARE the music to the point where headphones make zero difference. Most cafes play jazz, classical, folky music, here they play a mix between Top 40 and middle eastern music(making it pretty hard to focus). They also do NOT have a bathroom which for me is fine cause I live close buttttttttt sometimes when you gotta go, you gotta go, and that is just not an option here. The space itself is really nice and big. They have chess boards if you need a distraction, and easels set up for some reason. The coffee is cheap and good, the bagels are OK(i’m from NY tho). There are some cakes on display but I’ve never touched them. This place has so much potential and if the owner made a few adjustments it would make a world of a difference. I still come here for laundry but for the café I’d probably go elsewhere.

Hi-five to Sunshine Laundry and Café, five stars that is. Laundry made easy. Recently opened downtown San Francisco at 517 O’Farrell Street. Creative décor and comfortable seating upfront where one can play chess or engage the internet. There is even a small stage for spontaneous productions. Coffee, sandwiches, and what is becoming a rarity in San Francisco, an ice-cream fountain serving Mitchell’s famous ice cream. What brings it all together is a host who exudes hospitality: he’s a charmer. Again, five stars and then some.
