I love me some Subway. Really, I do. I’m relatively passive when it comes to restaurant quality, but this. this was something else. An unreliable source told me to stay away from this place, but I ignored them. I shouldn’t have because they were actually right to tell me so. When an unreliable source becomes reliable, you know something’s wrong. This was by far the worst Subway I’ve been to(and I’ve been to a LOT). Alright, so there were two workers behind the counter — I’ve seen this before countless times at other Subways. However, neither of these two could get my order right. I spoke loudly and clearly, yet they kept asking if I wanted that other thing that I didn’t say. When they DID get my sandwich name right, they asked if I wanted it toasted. I said«no», so they put it in the toaster. Thanks, I guess. Then for the toppings! They did a good job counting every cucumber, tomato, pickle, jalapeño, etc. to four and they’re definitely going slow and steady; unfortunately I don’t think they’re going to win any race at the rate they were going. When I asked for extra toppings, I ended up getting a total of SIX of each thing!(score). This was probably the flattest sandwich I’ve ever had. Free cookie time! Yeah, I fill out surveys for a free cookie! I gave them my survey code and they rejected it. That’s cool, I guess. So if you want a Subway sandwich, please just go two blocks down to the other Subway. You probably wont be as disappointed.

Terrible customer service. The miserable woman behind the counter today(older) had me so disgusted I walked out without a sandwich. Snapping at me, refusing to accommodate a simple requests, I will never set foot in THIS subway again.

1st off a Subway sandwich is a Subway sandwich, pretty much all the same everywhere from my experience. This review is on the service and visual sight. The other night I came in and 2 knucklehead idiots from the 555 building(labeled on there polos) came in and was giving one of the employees a hard time, being little smart asses, goofing and laughing. The subway employee, a nice Filipino guy had some really thick skin that night. I can see it in his face he was pissed but stayed absolutely professional and calm. Props. I really wanted to knock these 2 dudes out for him but that would just makes situation worst. He gets 3 stars holding back calm and professional. …now for the 2 star knockdown — I clearly saw a tiny fly tap dancing on the olives. I recommend that the owner of this franchise issues and provides at cost of management a «Safety Food Handlers Certificate.» This certificate is mandatory in most food places. A Subway sandwich is a Subway sandwich.

Your standard sandwiches. Just like other reviewers, I received borderline rude service. Also, like other reviewers here, I think the servers have a serious language barrier. There’s no seating available inside. There are only two tables outside and they tend to be taken by people who are waiting for the bus.

First, let me start off by saying… yes I realize this is a fast food establishment. But at the very least, you should still know how to properly microwave your chicken. I’ve been here a few times when I don’t feel like venturing too far out for lunch, so when I came here today, their oven wasn’t working. They offered to microwave their BBQ chicken, no biggie. I go back to my office, take one bite, two bites, no biggie. At the third bite, it all goes downhill. The rest of the chicken was still frozen! GROSS. Needless to say, I threw the rest of the sandwich in the garbage. I wouldn’t even have offered a homeless person that meal. Oh, and I also very much appreciated how you charge tax to people who pay by credit card, but not charge the lady behind me who paid with cash and not charge her tax. Good going Subway.

Best Subway Ever!!! I work upstairs so I’m here at least 2 – 3 times a week. The staff knows who I am and when I walk in they immediately just start making my sandwich without me even telling them what I want. It’s very clean and the food is always fresh. There’s usually a line during the lunch rush hour so try to go early or later on in the day so you don’t have to wait. They always accept coupons and never argue with you or give you dirty looks if you want something out of the ordinary. But most important the veggies are FRESH!!! This is definitely Subway Fresh!!!

With the low rating, I was expecting a lot less. Also, this is a tiny subway. There isn’t too much room, and so the line is usually out the open doors. I ordered a footlong chipotle chicken and cheese which is the sub of the month right now. I ordered it on wheat bread. First thing I notice was that I got a LOT of chicken. She just grabs a hand and puts it on my sandwich. Awesome. Next she starts putting the Chipotle sauce on it(before the pepper jack cheese)… and I was like uh, I want it toasted please. She puts the cheese on and toasts it. I never had them put sauce on first before toasting. After it got toasted, I asked for spinach. Then I asked for a bit more. Not much more was added, but it was still a good amount from the first grab. Then I ask for everything, and he built my sandwich really well. A lot of veggies, which I love. Instead of buying a bottle of water, I asked for a water cup. He gave me a regular soda cup instead. Now, my friend got the same sandwich, except on a flat bread. His experience was much different. He didn’t get much of anything, and I’m wondering if its because the flatbread is much harder to hold things together and stay together. It confused me a bit, but *shrugs*. So, I don’t know. I had a good experience, so I’ll just go with that.

Came here for a quick lunch break during my CPR class downtown. This subway is quite small compared to others I’ve been to. It can barely fit 3 or 4 customers in here comfortably. There was a small line, however, the workers were very efficient and the line went pretty quickly. I ordered the chicken breast footlong and it tasted pretty good. The reason for not getting higher rating is that the workers aren’t that friendly and I saw them making a lot of mistakes with mixed up sandwich orders with customers in front of me. Also I asked if I could get cash back with my debt card and the worked said«NO! Use the ATM down at chase two blocks away.» I’m not sure if they can’t give cash back or if she just refused but most businesses allow it. Anyways, this place is a subway so any subway with over 3 stars is considered pretty good.

Are you kidding me?! I SAID, everything but mustard. Which means… You get everything but mustard!!! But what do they do? They put mustard in and nothing else in. I pay for it and said, everything but mustard, right? The guy said, oh no, let me take the mustard out for you. I wasn’t thinking and said okay. But when I bring my sandwich back to the office to eat it, it still had some mustard and no mayo, no salt, no pepper, no vinegar, no condiments. Ugh! So mad! My co-worker asked me why I didn’t make him redo it. I slapped myself on the forehead… DOH! Why didn’t I ask him to remake it?! This would have been a 1 star review if those freshly made cookies didn’t taste so good. But needless to say, I won’t be going back for more sandwiches here. Tip: If they make a mistake in the condiment department, make them remake the sandwich to your liking. It makes a difference. I’m such a numb scope, UGH!!!

I knew there’s no such thing as a great Subway, but I didn’t realize there is such a thing as a terrible Subway. The staff was borderline rude, spoke to each other in another language, tossed around the food, was inattentive, and took shortcuts like pulling sandwiches out of the toaster half-done. The soda cooler was essentially empty while cases of warm soda sat on the counter. I’ll be going to the bigger Subway a block away whenever I need a cheap, fast sandwich in the future.

This is the WORST subway ever! The lady working the morning shift is as rude as can be and of course she doesn’t wear her name tag. Their toaster is not strong enough to get your sub toasty and the lack of vegetable choices made me want to walk an extra few blocks for another subway. For a side of guaranteed pissed off face with your morning sub — go to this subway!

I eat Subway about once every other week, I crave the veggies, so I am opinionated when it comes to my foot long. Subway is the only place you’ll ever hear me complain if there is more meat than veggies. Plus, the mayo was only on one half of the sandwich. Ratio is incredibly important on these, it’s what really makes or breaks a franchise. This location is hectic which seems to translate to the sandwich. There wasn’t any resemblance of a line and after being crammed in and shoved around, I was rushed out the door. It all depends on who’s slinging the lettuce on any given day so I’ll call this place decent since the bread was fresh.

It’s fast, cheap, and open at 7am. It isn’t anything exceptional, but I have not had a bad experience here. Okay, once the sandwich artist refused to put extra veggies on my egg and cheese, claiming it only came with four, but I don’t know if that is a franchise thing, product thing, or just her thing. I generally only stop by walking from BART in the morning, but when I have had to run over here for work during lunch the lines move fast. The food isn’t exceptional, but when is it at Subway? It’s just cheap, decent food.

Very fast service! There is usually a line but they will have you in and out in about 7mins. Not sure why everyone is saying the service is bad, the place is as big as a closet and they have a million sandwiches to make, no time for chitchat. lol I come here often since i work nearby! i would give 3 stars but on a few occasions my bread tasted«day old».

As others have pointed out — the ‘service’ here is very lacking and borderline rude. They also don’t honor ‘special promotion sales’. If you really need/want a subway sandwich… go to another location.

small but fast. everybody claims service is rude, but i just come here to get lunch and not make friends with the people working here. lol. anyway, quick and fast. i would deal with this subway any day before dealing with the one in my area(richmond ca next to the goodwill store.)

When I was checking into this Subway, I saw that it only had 2.5 stars. I was wondering to myself, how does a Subway get such bad rating? Now I know. 1. Super rude customer service. The line behind me wasn’t even THAT long yet they were rushing me like mad. I wasn’t even done choosing my toppings and the girl’s already pushing my sub along to the next person to wrap. Then when I said I wasn’t done, she gave me a dirty impatient look and didn’t even put all the remaining stuff I asked for. 2. My sub was COLD and it was toasted. They probably only put it in the toaster for super short period of time. 3. There was a hair. I rather walk further and go to a different Subway in the future.

I am a Subway goer and I order a sandwich when I am not eating fast food. With many Subway Sandwich shops here in San Francisco, I’ve eaten at almost all of them. I have to agree with the point that Subway is indeed healthier. Chicken and Bacon Ranch is my favorite on the menu, this is the sandwich I order every time I go to Subway. The staff here are friendly and efficient. They take the orders and get them taken care of right away. I eat at Subway 2 – 3 times every month, so this restaurant is one of my favorite places for health food. 05/29/2015: Salami Sandwich on a 6″ Italian Bread with Shredded Cheese, Pickles and Lettuce is delicious. I love when the bread is toasted which gives it a very good crispy texture. The staff member on duty was very friendly — that is always a good thing.

Okay, 3-stars because I eat there everyday… literally… But, the bread tends to be a day-old, and after reading the recent SF Restaurant score card, I think yesterday was my last day there. The one a few blocks away had a MUCH Better rating … will go there today.

Let’s be real: the sandwiches are mediocre. With that said — it’s edible and it’s a lot healthier than eating at Mcdonald’s or Burger King. Price-wise, I do their daily special which is $ 3 for a 6 inch sandwich. My favorite sub is the meatball sub and cold cut trio. As far as competition, Quizno’s is waaaaay better, but it’ll cost you. I’m thankful for subway being there. It provides a healthy and economical meal for me 50 steps from my office.
