Stefanie is an incredible massage therapist! She seems to intuitively know where to apply pressure and I always feel amazing after I get massages. She does outcalls, which is great when I don’t want to leave home to get a massage. Her prices are also really reasonable. She does great deep tissue work, and still manages to make me feel relaxed.

BEST MASSAGE and massage therapist i’ve ever had. i’m in the medical profession and have not had satisfying therapy for pain, stefanie was great, very knowledgeable and figured out what i was doing wrong with my posture right away. not only gave a great massage focusing on the problem areas, but also gave me a bunch of tips for exercising and stretching to help prevent recurrence. also super friendly, easy to engage with, very easy to schedule (we just texted each other until we found a good time). definitely going back!

Massages are no doubt a form of therapy. Our bodies need it just as much as our minds do. Whether you’re suffering from physical aches and pains or if you’re simply looking for a calming rejuvenation of energy throughout your body, Stef has so much to offer.
The most important quality I look for in any therapist whether it be mental, physical, or spiritual is listening ability. Effective therapy isn’t possible without keenly listening to your clients, patients, or whatever you want to call them. You know where I’m going with this.
Stef is an *amazing* listener, using her eyes, ears, hands, her entire body really to detect areas where tension is being held. She’s gifted with an incredibly acute sense of awareness towards the various levels of stored energy throughout the body. She detects with barely a touch the areas where tension is being held and organically directs her attention towards those ares based on this feedback. Again, she really listens to the body. It’s by far her greatest ability in providing revitalizing therapy.
I’ll be scheduling future appointments with Stef and will continue encouraging others to do the same. Some other positive points to highlight about Stef’s practice includes her professionalism, sincerity, organization, affordable price (!), her awesome space (in potrero), and of course her two super cute cats (Newton + Copy)! :)

I’ve been getting massages from Stefanie for a few years now– sometimes in her Oakland studio and sometimes in SF. One of the things I appreciate most about Stefanie is that she knows exactly what I’m going through because she is also a freelance graphic designer (I do photo and video editing, the similarity being a lot of time pixel peeping at the computer for long hours under deadlines); she’s also played a number of sports, the other part of my life that puts a lot of stress on my body. She understands first-​hand (no pun intended) not just how my body develops all its tension but also why I’m not just going to stop; all that extra knowledge makes her advice on stretching and ergonomics all the more useful. Add her intuitive touch and you get a lot more than what you might find looking for the cheapest option in Chinatown.

I’m a photographer, videographer, and spend a ton of time running around shooting combined with a ton of time at my computer. Sometimes, my body just can’t take it anymore and this is when I call Stefanie. She is THE BEST massage therapist I’ve ever had, and has this uncanny ability to hone in on spots that need work, even though I’m completely unaware of them. It’s really great to see a Certified Massage Therapist who genuinely loves her job. I’ve gotten work done at fancy spas, and definitely walk away feeling I paid waaayyy to much just for the ambiance. I’ve sent a couple of friends her way, who always come back raving.
You must see Stefanie for a massage. Must must must. It will change your world.

Stephanie was awesome. Professional and soothing at the same time. I was able to relax immediately, and thoroughly enjoyed my 60 minute full body massage. She was able to work with great fluidity, and at the same time have mechanical precision and control. There were moments where it felt like her two hands melded into one super-​intelligent alien massage being.

Stefanie is one of the most talented bodyworkers I have ever met — highly sensitive, deeply knowledgeable, strong and intuitive. A session with her was like experiencing a combination of brilliant deep tissue work and restorative yoga. I’ve been a bodyworker for over 15 years, and recommend her phenomenal work with highest regard!

The word that came to me when I was on Stefanie’s table was «transportational». Her touch is so strong and confident, yet there’s a sweetness in her timing that allows, or maybe encourages me to surrender to the work no matter how deep. I want the therapeutic benefit of deep work, but am sometimes too tight to tolerate it, unless I’m on Stefanie’s table. I think she’s one of the top practitioners in the City.

Quit reading reviews and just go see her. She’s amazing. Just go. The other reviews are spot on: 6^th sense, intuitive, healing, etc. She takes the time to invest in on-​going healing.

Stefanie is an amazingly gifted CMT. Experience counts, and she has it in spades. She understands the musculoskeletal system and really pays attention to what’s going on with your body. She can work as deep or gently as you need, and suggests exercises outside of session that help keep you feelin’ good!

I have been going to Stefanie for several years now and she is consistently great. She is professional, friendly, and positive. She can really tell what’s going on with my body and pin point the spots where I’m having trouble. Plus, she will give you advice on how to address your problem areas. For example, I have a tendency to hunch forward, which creates pain in my shoulders. She showed me some stretching exercises to counterbalance this.
I like a fair amount of pressure in my massages and Stefanie can deliver. At the same time, her massages are relaxing. I think she strikes a great balance in incorporating both. I always look forward to seeing her and feel much better after I do.

She asks me lots of questions, and of course she studies anatomy, but it still seems like she just feels her way around my body & treats my problems using her 6^th sense.
I feel much better after a session with Stefanie. She sends me away with useful stretches and strategies for easing my problem. (Of course, what I really need to do is get out of the click+type line of work, sigh.)
She’s also an all-​around fun gal, artistic, & intelligent.

I received a gift certificate for a massage from Stefanie for my birthday, way back in May. It wasn’t until August that I was able to use and boy was it worth the wait.
I have had massages before in the past but nothing like what Stefanie offers. She gave me a combination of sports and deep tissue and it was wonderful.
Not only does she give great massages but also tips on specific stretches that can be done at home and work.
The studio was very comfortable and it was nice to walk back to my car after, walking past the lake was a nice way to finish my night.
if you are reading this and are still not sure if you want to book a massage, I woud say just do it as Stefanie is a very talented lady!

Stefanie is an absolute delight to work with. She’s very knowledgeable, extremely professional, and caring. She asks questions, and is an attentive listener. But what I appreciate most about Stefanie’s work is that she does not just provide a service, but strives to create an ongoing relationship of healing. I feel truly relaxed in Stefanie’s hands, and trust her completely.

I cant say enough about how great Stefanie is. She is a great listener and always incorporates your feelings/​mood into her work. Each session is always a different experience. She can modify her techniques to best suite your aches and pains. I would recommend her to anyone that lives in both the East Bay and San Francisco area… dont miss out!

Stefanie is extremely attentive to the areas that i specify and creates a very comfortable and relaxing environment. I’ve seen many massage therapists without success and would continually see her again bc she is very inquisitive about your needs and has tactics that focus on what you’re looking for.
I work all day/​night on the computer and have a lot of wrist/​back/​joint issues in general. She provides very helpful feedback after my sessions on how I can improve my muscular imbalance/​posture and is truly invested in her clients. Above all, she makes me feel very at ease while addressing the sore points I need. Its very relaxing and theraputic at the same time.
I’ve seen improvements since seeing her as well and am mindful of how i sit/​position myself at work via her recommendations. she truly is a personalized massage therapist.

Stefanie is an incredibly intuitive therapist with very positive energy and insight. She is a great communicator and can really put you at ease. I have referred numerous friends to her and have heard nothing but good things. The only downside to a massage with Stefanie is that you inevitably start comparing other therapists to her and they always come up lacking.

yeayyeayyeay, an amazing massage from an amazing person. I got a bit banged up and really needed a massage but had to go to someone I trusted (lest I tweak something else). Stef had the perfect touch. Soothing to the point that I was passed out and practically drooling, but not all weak and wishy washy. What I loved is that afterword she explained where I was tight, what I needed to stretch out and all the rest. I’ll definitely be back.

Stefanie is the most skilled massage therapist I’ve been to. She really understands the body in general– and seeks to understand your body in particular, keeping careful notes about your body issues and referring back to them at the next session. She’s responsive, strong, and intuitive. She’s been extremely helpful in dealing with both computer overuse-​related issues as well as sports-​related issues, and is wonderful at pre-​natal massage as well.

I’ve had many, many massages over the years and by far my favorite therapist is Stef Liang.
Her Oakland studio is nicely located appointed, and is very quiet – you start to feel calm as soon as you enter.
Stef herself radiates a calm, peaceful, joyful energy that will put you immediately at ease. She will talk with you, but it never becomes a chat session – she knows when to wind things down and help you focus on your breathing. Towards the end of the massage, you will feel as though you have been on a meditation retreat.
I need deep tissue work, and often find that women are not quite strong enough to manage it, but Stef is both strong and gentle. I have never felt bruised after one of her massages, but I always feel deeply satisfied. Once, I was struggling to sit up because I was congested, and she very tenderly helped me and held me until I was comfortable again.
Stef’s intuition and touch are sooo good, you barely need to say anything, though she always does a great job of checking in.
This is not just massage for your body – your heart and soul will feel better for the time you spend with Stef!

Stefanie is my favorite massage therapist ever! She’s got incredible energy, is professional, and has spot on intuition when it comes to finding the stressed out areas in your body. I was a massage therapist for 4-​years, went to school, did tons of trades, and I still think that she’s the best. I’d recommend Stef to anyone because she loves what she does, and it really shows.
Right now, I’m trying to convince my boss to have her come to work for a few hours with a table or chair.
