If you need a super-​fast candy, soda or lotto stop on your way to /​from Muni /​BART, look no further. Or if you’re in need of a greeting card, they got you covered for that too
Star Convenience is always friendly, always fully stocked & always gets me on my way… right at the top of the stairs & beside Specialties, you can’t miss it
I also like the lighted Lotto signs that show the current jackpots so I can determine if it’s worth a $ 2 pit stop
Sure, I haven’t received a winning lottery ticket from your place (yet) but we’ll keep trying from time to time
There’s usually a smallish line but it moves really quickly … this is star-​quality convenience for sure!

On the way in and out from Bart and have American Spirit Ultra Lights since not everyone carries them. When in a pinch and need some cigs, this is a great place to stop by.

Wanted to write a review for this place because after searching all over the Financial district (convenience stores, flower shops, etc), this is the only place I found that carries mylar balloons. They have a decent selection (Happy Birthday, Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, etc). They’re pretty quick, costs $ 4.50 per balloon. If you get a bunch, ask for a garbage bag to put over them to keep everything together.

Right downstairs at the Post/​Montgomery BART/​Muni, Star is owned/​staffed by the nicest family… very clean and stocked with just about anything you could need or imagine… prices are very fair for a convenience store: I buy my lunch at Specialty’s next door (yum) and my drinks at Star and save $.50 or more

I really like this convenience store. It’s located conveniently next to the Montgomery BART station. It sells everything you would ever need to pick up from a convenience store — candy, ice cream, magazines, snacks, etc. They carry a very wide selection of candy, snacks, and beverages. And it’s nice how their prices are super jacked up like everything else in the Financial District.
