love this place in the summer, the garden gets full quickly but there’s a quick turnover so it won’t get long for you to find a spot. This place enjoys lots of sun and the menu is good. Not crazy yummy but enough to fill you. It is a bit expensive but I guess we pay for the location.

A friend recommended I check out Stable, promising I would love it, so I had high hopes that were completely satisfied as soon as I stepped inside. It’s a small coffee shop, but very cute — A+ for atmosphere and cozy-ness(especially the upstairs seating). I paid my first visit on a particularly cold day so I didn’t get to enjoy the outside seating, but I will definitely be sure to come back on a warmer day since everyone raves about this. Coffee was yummy as was my croissant. The service is stellar here! I also didn’t get kicked off the wifi network once — woot! My only two complaints would be: 1) no outlets and 2) it closes at 4pm. Someone PLEASE recommend a good coffee shop in the Mission that stays open late!

This place serves what is easily the healthiest lunch in the Mission. Don’t get me wrong, I love a carne asada burrito as much as the next guy, but when you need something a little lighter, you can’t go wrong with an amazing Stable salad — maybe one with some avocado and chicken if you still need something hearty. If you do need an even heartier lunch, can I recommend their sandwiches? Stable has amazing bread, so all of their sandwiches taste just a little better. Also, Stephanie behind the counter is hilarious. Tell her I said ‘hi.’

We were searching for a chill breakfast place in the mission after waiting in line for the Balmain x H&M for all of 10 minutes before deciding that we were very much over that shit and very hungry. We slid in right before breakfast was over and listen, amen for this sensible breakfast menu! I got something simple, eggs and toast with jam, while my friend got a breakfast wrap. The real winning apsect of this café is the large outdoor space, filled with succulents and wooden accents. It was a bit chilly but otherwise, we would’ve stayed longer. Would love to come back on a sunnier day!

Came looking for a coffee shop to have coffee and a bite as well as work on the computer. I got a nice vegetarian frittata and an iced mocha. The place is overpriced and their drinks are extremely small. When I went upstairs to eat and work on the computer I found there is zero outlets in the place. The people are kind and atmosphere is welcoming however.

This is a fun little place that gets stars mainly for its amazing outdoor space. The indoor area is a little serving area with only a few seats on the lower level and a few additional ones upstairs. However, the outdoor area is amazing. There is a long courtyard lined with trees and a little succulent garden shop in the back. It’s a great place to sit outside for a chat, to read, or to study. It’s especially nice on those SF days when it’s a little hotter in your apartment that you would like and need to get outside. I’ve only had the coffees, of which the iced coffee and espresso drinks were both good. The food looks nice but I haven’t had it. The down side is that the internet is pretty unreliable, so be prepared to tether to your phone if you need internet. All in all, one of the better outdoor spaces in the area.

I loved the outdoor patio — such a nice atmosphere to sit and work or socialize. I haven’t eaten here so can’t comment on the food, but The coffee is good!

The waitress with the tatoo down her neck was incredibly rude, ignoring me at first and acting befuddled when i asked her if i could order, as if offended by my audacity. How dare i! Then she called on the next person even before i started to sign the receipt. No thank yous given. Was it my uniform? Did i not look hipster enough? Should’ve hit Starbucks. And their coffee tastes like metal.

I love Stable. Great coffee, and reasonably priced food. The outdoor seating in the succulent garden is awesome and every time I go there are tables available. The Nono is a great simple breakfast, and I’ve yet to get my eggs anything but perfectly cooked. My one and only hope is that they someday replace their silverware. The Nono is pretty simple, provolone on an egg, on a slice of tomato, on toast… but the inadequate silverware makes even that a bit of a challenge to cut through without grinding into the flatware.

Hip, good coffee, decently priced food for a hipster café. Great outdoor seating area.

Best coffee, food & staff! The outside space is a total gem in the city & the vibe is always relaxed & inviting. Dogs are allowed too! Drip coffee is delicious & I’ve had multiple items off the breakfast menu & have never been disappointed. Come, relax & see for yourself.

Went in to grab a coffee and some lunch, encountered a coffee barista thats worse than a methhead having a bad day. While waiting in line to place an order, the employee became frustrated and started shouting that his previous customer hadn’t picked up his coffee. He complained it was getting cold. Unfortunately, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time as he thought it was mine, though I hadn’t placed my order. I motioned to him that it wasn’t mine and I explained I hadn’t placed an order yet. While talking with the polite cashier, He hovered inches from my face listening to the order. I ordered a cappuccino, and he slammed to cold latte in-front of me and said«THEREYOUGO!!». I casually told the cashier I was looking for a cappuccino and a sandwich to go, and he dumped it out. In his frustration he made a cappuccino in a regular cup«not to go». I asked him for it «to go». He told me I could drink my coffee and when I wanted it «to go», I could come back, get in line, wait, and get the remainder poured into a to-go cup. I explained that wasn’t what I’d like to do, I’d really just like my correct order«to-go». He made faces at me, and I asked for his manager. He refused to get his manager. Upon leaving I asked again with a different employee for the manager, as I left he was shouting across the restaurant«WHATYOUWONTEVENTALKTOME???» and followed me down the street to complain at me. This guy was on some serious drugs, the manage(Francisco) offered me a free lunch on him for the trouble. I don’t recommend going here if you’re looking for a chill atmosphere, this barista was hostile.

The outside area with all those plum trees make this a great place itself. Food could be better and my barista was not really the friendliest(maybe she was just having a bad day) so ending up with 4*. Definitely come to sit outside, grab some fresh plums and chill. There are many better places for to-go food.

The pros: beautiful space, plenty of seating(both indoor and outdoor), allow dogs, good vegetarian options The cons: SO expensive. They have increased their prices and their online menu( ) quotes their prices about $ 2 – 2.50 cheaper than what they charge in person I’ve been here twice. First time: hot chocolate and yogurt parfait. Hot chocolate looked beautiful but was TERRIBLE. Worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Super bitter, no chocolate taste to it at all(not even dark chocolate… it just tasted like bitter water). I threw it away after 2 sips. Parfait was decent, but the granola had a weird bitter taste to it, too. Second time: Got the quinoa salad(good, but so not worth $ 11. The to-go version is tiny and way over-priced) and the croissant(good). Altogether, it was just shy of $ 15. I WANTED to like this place. The space is beautiful. I could see myself taking a long lunch break in their beautiful outdoor space. But so far my experience has been subpar and expensive.

WELCOMEBACK! SO glad they are open again! PHEW! I was worried that the best coffee space in the area was gone for good. I now spend half my time in Vancouver BC and when I am there I miss this place something fierce – there is nothing like it up there. When I get back to SF it’s my first stop right away.(I will take back what I said before about the slow coffee service. That has changed!).

It’s one of those places. Have you been outside of your usual neighborhoods. You find a place to have coffee and fall in love with everything about the café… To the point you start to get excited every time you have an appointment in that part of town — so you can go back, try something new and love it all over again. This is that place. Come alone, come on business, come with friends or an afternoon date — just definitely try Stable. The food, drinks and coffee will never dissapoint. The staff is the friendliest and the space, indoors and out, is beautiful/comfortable/laid back perfection. And now it looks like they are adding night events. Wine and chocolate this Friday? I guess I’ll have to start coming out to this part of town just to come here. I don’t mind.

A cute, cozy spot in the Mission to grab a cup of good coffee and a pastry. The outdoor garden patio is a place where you can easily spend an entire afternoon and not know where the time went… they have a cute succulent garden stand that is open during café hours as well. Latte was tasty. They have almond milk(!!!) and soy for those of us who are off the dairy train. The incredibly sweet and funny barista took note that it was my boyfriend’s birthday and insisted on giving«the birthday booooyyyy» a cookie on the house. It was the best peanut butter cookie ever! The rest of the pastries and food items looked good as well.

My bf likes to show me all his new finds in the Mission and one Thursday morning before heading up to Yosemite to hike Half Dome that weekend, he took me to Stable Café. Location: Definitely out of the way. There’s basically nothing else around this area. Food: The menu is small, but the choices are mouthwatering. For $ 7, I got the Pomba(toast, bacon, brie, and egg in the hole). The toast is Texas toast, lightly buttered and perfectly toasted. The bacon is nicely cooked with crisp edges, but still slightly chewy. The brie was laid over the hot toast and egg, making it melt and ooze into all the crevices. The egg was cooked to perfection and nicely scrambled in the hole. Two blackberries for garnish and this dish was just everything I could want in a sinfully delicious breakfast. So filling, it kept me going ’til we had an early dinner later that day! Coffee: I got a latte with almond milk. Delicious. And cute coffee art on the top. Also bonus points for serving coffee in glass — I’m a fan of this trend. Service: You order at the counter and they bring the food to your number wherever you decide to sit. However, you need to grab your coffee yourself. I wanted a latte with 2% milk, but they only had whole milk and nonfat. The employee suggested a mixture of the two, but I said nonfat was fine. Then she suggested almond milk. It was like she read my mind! Always a fan of almond milk. Friendly service for sure :) Ambiance: Cute place where you can have a leisurely breakfast, or grab something quick if you have 15 minutes to spare. They have a small seating area inside and a larger patio area outside adorned with a lot of cute drought-resistant plants. Apparently you can also rent out the back space which is good for small gatherings/parties. Would I return? YES. Delicious food, great coffee, friendly service, and cute café.

Yummy place to have brunch! I’m a sucker for eggs. I was initially going to get a plain old sandwich and add an egg but the Croque Madame was on display by the register and that beautiful sunny side up egg lured me into its grasp. My Croque Madame was yummy and very flavorful. The egg didn’t disappoint however my only complaint is that it was a little too«oily» for my liking. By the end of my dish, I could see all the left over oil on my plate which kind of turned me off :/Also the bottom layer of my bread was soaked and soggy by the end as well. Don’t get me wrong, it was yummy but I just couldn’t get myself to finish that soggy bottom bread :( Place has nice outdoor seating as well and perfect for a weekend brunch! The wait wasn’t too long and service was pretty good.

Really awesome breakfast! I got the Nono, which is an open-faced sandwich with eggs, cheese and tomatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted on the baguette. I enjoyed the coffee here at well– I got a black coffee and it was delicious. The back patio to Stable is shared with a succulent nursery, and there’s plenty of space inside and out. Very good ambience and eclectic music.
