Description

Specialties

We serve up the Castro’s absolute best latte, cappuccino, and mocha. Of course we have Almond and Soy Milks. We’re fiercely independent and the neighborhood institution coffee shop. So quit drinking corporate coffee and find out what’s so hot about independence. We will never chastise you or make you feel your coffee knowledge is inadequate. We provide an honest and delicious beverage to help get your day rockin’. Did we mention we hand brew our own Chai daily? You’ll also get to choose from our organic and fair-trade daily coffee selections.

We don’t have television screens. So come in, look around, strike up a conversation with a real person — face to face, for a change — and enjoy the increasingly rare experience of being in a real place in real time. We’ll do our best to make your visit a memorable one.

We contribute to worthy causes in our community, such as Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, an elementary school located just a block away, and we sponsor local institutions, such as Frameline, the not-for-profit media-arts organization that produces the annual LGBT film festival.

We also have a new art show every month. Be sure to check it out when you stop by.

History

Established in 2000.

Some family’s faces have changed over the past 16 years, but one thing has not: Our unending quest to serve our community members with the best coffee/latte beverage humanly possible…

Meet the Business Owner

Mike D.

Business Owner

Who I am as the owner isn’t as important as what our entire team does everyday. We smile and sweat and steam and scoop and splash and swirl; all with the hopes of satisfying every customer/friend who walks through the door!
