History

Established in 2015.

Spark Arts is founded by Aviva Kanoff and Angie Sticher. We founded Spark Arts to create a space for the community to explore their creativity through art and performance. Our goal is to make arts more accessible for our local community through classes and a gallery space.

Meet the Business Owner

Angie and Aviva K.

Business Owner

Angie is a Georgia native who found her forever home in the Bay Area in 1996. Angie purchased her home in the Castro in 2006 and plans to never leave. After spending 15 years as a leader in software technology, Angie took some time off to determine how to give back to the community in which she lives. Meeting Aviva in 2014 was the catalyst not only for a great friendship but an exploration of ways the community could be improved with the help of these two dynamic women.

Aviva is a recent San Francisco transplant, moving here mid-2014 from New York. Aviva is an accomplished artist and chef. She received the Gourmand World Cookbooks award in 2012 for her book «No Potato Passover». Aviva has held two solo art exhibits in New York City and has been a featured photographer in National Geographic magazine. This world traveler has found her true home in San Francisco and is excited to share her experiences with her new community.
