We focus on giving people an attractive, long-​lasting paint job at a fair price. We do everything from large multi unit buildings, to historical wood exteriors, to interior living spaces and fine finish work. Whether it’s a large remodeling project in a tony neighborhood or a no frills repaint, we can meet your needs, and do the job quickly.

We are staffed by 4 very reliable foreman who have all been with me at least 8 years, and are knowledgeable, skilled, well organized, and polite. We depend heavily on word of mouth references, so we try to make life long customers out of each client we serve.

Estimate are always free, and we would be glad to discuss any painting problem you may have. We also do light carpentry, and are tied in to a large network of other tradespeople who we can refer you to for tasks outside our areas of expertise.

History

Established in 2001.

I began Sourdough Painting in 2001 after having worked for Modamas Painting since 1993. Before that, I had run painting companies in Chicago and in Boston. Sourdough started out with one crew, and has now grown to 4 crews (and 10 – 12 painters). We have always focused on quality– which means not cutting corners just to make a few extra dollars, knowing that in the long run, your work will reflect the care and craftsmanship you put into it. I also value my employees very highly, and try to make Sourdough a pleasant and rewarding place to work. We have very little turnover, which helps create a collegial and supportive work environment.

Business Owner

I began Sourdough Painting in 2001 after having previously been a project manager for 8 years with another local painting company. Previous to that, I had had painting companies in Boston and Chicago. I also have a MS in Community Development from UC Davis and a BA in English from Earlham College in Richmond, IN. I enjoy the challenge of painting, and the teamwork involving customers, contractors and employees to produce a beautiful new finish for homes, offices, or businesses.
