Really like the Kalbi. Good option along the Rincon Center stuff.

Very good food, priced just right. I almost didn’t want to write a review because i want it to keep this one for myself. It sits inside the Rincon center in SF, and they have a great restaurant selection inside. Sorabol being one of them, and their food is dam good. They have just about all you ask for, good service, and its pretty busy. That should tell you enough. Enjoy, and always get a bag for food going to go, its gets very hot to carry. By the way price range is not under $ 10 dollars all the time, it varies what you get. But remember you get what you pay for.

Stick with the hot foods bar not noodle soups. The«miso» soup tasted like bland dirty water. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. The only good thing — the broccoli which was fresh. The tofu was firm and overly cooked — no good. Stick to the stir fried noodles, glass noodles, and bbq — those looked ok. Convenient place to get lunch but food is just average at best. Plenty of seating in store and in the ricon center plaza. Lunch will run you about $ 10 – 11

Not a bad place to grab some noodle soup on a cold day. Cafeteria style, pretty quick turn-around. The food isn’t amazing, but it is good enough. Soup is about $ 9, which is on par for lunch in the area. Portions are big enough for a second meal.

Very disappointing, this place use to be good and with good portions. They raised the price and portion has gotten smaller. Hardly filling at all

For a cold rainy day, when you don’t want to walk too far, and really want some hot soup, this place is pretty perfect. Ok, so it’s just beef broth, veggies, some meat, some noodles, and lots of spices and kimchee(yay unlimited), but it really does hit the spot. Could I make a noodle soup better? Absolutely. Do I wish I have a stove at work? Sure! But, since that’s just not possible, Sorabol would have to do. Their bbq area is also good — mostly because the portions are huge and you’ll have enough to eat for 1.5−2 meals.

Nothing bad with the service, it’s like cafeteria service at the rincon center. I had chicken and rice with pot stickers. The food portion is pretty generous, i just didn’t really enjoy it. The chicken was too dry for me and the noodles on the side wasn’t very flavorful.

It was exactly what I wanted an needed trying to get over my cold. Perfectly hot and just add a bit of the hot oil and chili’s and you’re good to go. Would recommend.

WARNING! the chicken is not fresh! I went around noon and got sick shortly after eating(see my review for Soma Chicken-also same issue). Might be the chicken orrrrr… maybe the whole place is just extremely dirty and does not follow the food safety guidelines. I ordered the BBQ chicken bowl with Jap Chae(glass noodle). Chicken was dry. Noodles were all mushy and overcooked. The KimChi had a piece of hair in it. Anyway don’t eat here unless you want to spend the rest of your afternoon in the restroom…

My spicy pork over rice was just okay. I used to go to Emeryville Public Market and used to get Sorabol There back in the days and I always that it was really good, but many years have passed and I guess palletes change and now its just okay. Not as good as it used to be.

Solid food and a lot for a reasonable price. Of all the different locations I think the food at this one is the best for some reason. Really, each plate is good for two people or one very hungry person. My only complaint is that it gets pretty hot and stuffy in here sometimes.

Took a chicken plate. Not sure why they asked to add Teriyaki-sauce to it. The line moves pretty fast here, but the food is just okay. They have good options available for noodle and rice bowls. Worth a shot.

This place is across the street from my work, so I come about every other week. Prices are about $ 10-$ 14, and one serving usually lasts me 2 meals, so I think it’s a pretty good deal. The food itself is pretty good, but being that it is served from warming dishes, the meat can get kind of overcooked. Also, the spicy options(chicken, pork, etc.) are overly saucy/oily. Other than that, Sorabol is a pretty solid place with large portions if you are looking for a lot of protein. Here a tip! If you don’t care about the extras in the lunch box(California roll, gyoza), you can just order the 2 item plate, which gives a generous portion of two proteins, rice, glass noodles, and broccoli for a lower price! That is usually what I order.

Working on the corner of Howard and Spear means having access to a bunch of great eateries in the SOMA and Embarcadero area. One afternoon, a coworker told me about a Korean restaurant across the street. If you know me well, you know that Asian food is my absolute weakness. So naturally, I was down to try this spot. Since trying this place, I’ve been back about 4 times since. I love the food here! The staff is not much for small talk but they are super efficient. You are literally in and out in no time! How it works is you walk in, choose the dish you want and move down the food display along the way. When you’re done, you pay and then help yourself to sauces, utensils and kim chee. There’s either a small dining area to sit in, or you can walk outside and sit anywhere in the open space of the Rincon building. During all of my visits, I’ve chosen to go with the BBQ Chicken plate for $ 8.95. It’s a great deal for San Francisco! A plate full of BBQ chicken, rice, clear noodles, steamed veggies and kim chee. The chicken is grilled nicely! Nice charred marks, the chicken is juicy and flavorful. The steamed veggies are nice but no flavor. I’m not really a fan of the clear noodles so I tend to go with all brown rice. Their brown rice is not dry at all, definitely a must try. The great thing is that they drizzle the meat and rice with a soy type sauce at the end. It really ties everything together very nicely. I would say this is their most popular dish and I would equally agree! If you’re in the Embarcadero/SOMA area, come check out this place. It’s super efficient and the food is delicious! I’m definitely coming back again and again for my work lunch breaks. Thanks Sorabol!

I get it, sometimes you want that asian food. Its close and fast. You’re tired of the other foods options in the area. Sometimes you eat to live rather than live to eat. That’s fine. Sorabol is the korean version of panda express. They’ve been around for awhile. Fast korean mall food. They serve combo rice plates and bowls with chicken, beef, spicy pork or shortrib, along side some veggies over brown or white rice. Its really not bad but its not food that I’ll ever be excited about.

This place has become my go-to Asian food fix for my lunch break since I started working at 101 Mission. I can only speak to their lunch carry out menu/service, since that is all I’ve mad. So far I’ve had the beef and chicken. For about $ 10(with tax, without a drink), they give you a big takeout box including rice(brown or white), meat or tofu with veggies(broccoli mostly), and noodles. Everything has been pretty delicious so far — no complaints. It’s a little pricey for lunch(for me), but the large portion justifies it! It’s pretty easy to end up with about half the portion leftover for dinner if you don’t eat much! The service is also super fast(assembly line style, with about 3 people behind the counter putting the box together as you tell them what you want) and everyone who works there is very friendly.

Not bad at all. This place would probably be deemed like a 3.5 for me. Great place to come if you’re at a conference at the Moscone West, like I was. There may be a line during prime rush hour, but since it’s fast food style Korean, they get your food out pretty quickly. I wanted to customize my meal a little and add more vegetables, and they do add a few more dollars onto it. Not really authentic, but a pretty good fix if you’re looking for something in the area to grab a quick meal from your conference if you’re not feeling those pre-made sandwiches.

Fast food Korean restaurant in a food court. Expectations weren’t too high, but I was relatively impressed. Not particularly authentic, but a close enough approximation. It’s a food court, don’t set your expectations too high. Combo platter included BBQ chicken and kalbi. Chicken was juicy, maybe a bit too salty. Tender, not too fatty. Kalbi beef was a bit tough, though; lots of gristle/fat. In their defense, though, kalbi is cut from the rib, so gristle and fat is somewhat expected. Flavor-wise, their marinade was a nice blend of sweet and salty. The bibimbap was a nice quick combo of veggies, protein, and rice. This particular Sorabol seems to be less generous than other locations when it comes to serving size. Good for a nice, filling meal that’s decently priced and represents all your food groups.

Been here twice because friends have wanted to come here. The rice plate food stuff seemed okay, but the last time I was here, I got what sounded good on the menu, Garlic Noodle with pork, and turns out it was a soup dish, which it didn’t indicate. But the real kicker, they put a whole garlic bulb in here… skin on still and halved it. WTF? Do not ever get this! Still have to say though, that the noodle soup, despite this, had more flavor than Kamakura’s udon. Just stick with the hot food section as opposed to the noodle soups. Prices are a little up there for this mall food eatery, but portions are huge. I’d say that this should be your third or fourth choice(at best) for a lunch option when dining in the Rincon Center.

Proportions are huge for what you pay for! It’s a good lunch spot in the Rincon Center. They also provide an inside seating area for their own restaurant rather than have you sit outside in the Rincon Center seating area. Go for their BBQ Chicken meal if you are pondering on what to get! Aye okay place!
