SOMA Gene Friend Recreation Center

Excellent and helpful staff. There is a gym but I was interested in the weight room. It is actually a big room but there is so much equipment in there that it is economically functional. There are 2 treadmills, a bicycle, caged bar, barbell and bench, curl bar and stand, seated squat press, and double tower pull up with row and adjustable pulls.

Came here late in the day last week to check out their FREE gym! What?
My be was saying a lot of gross homeless people come there. Luckily, no was in there when we went. There were a lot of kids playing basketball and ping pong though.
There isn’t any ventilation, windows, or ac. No food or drinks allowed but there is water fountains outside.
They also have cleaning wipes on the side to clean off the equipment before working out. I love it!
I’m planning on going more often but because of the rep my be gives it, I think I’ll just go with him hahaha.
