Solidago Landscaping

Alex just finished installing our landscaping plan for our very small backyard in Alameda. He and his crew did an absolutely amazing job and we are incredibly pleased. Alex is smart, honest, knowledgeable, dependable, down-​to-​earth and a nice guy. He was always on time and his rates were very reasonable. He installed a flagstone path, as well as a small stone wall and a stone vegetable patch. He completely transformed our tiny 20×20 sq. ft. yard into a masterpiece!

Alex Ganiaris, who owns Solidago, has been designing, installing, and maintaining my garden in Ashbury Heights for almost ten years. I would never think of changing. I tried a few before finding Solidago, and no one can touch Alex’s knowledge of plants in the San Francisco climate, his eye for landscape design, and his reliability and diligence. He has replaced rotted terrace structures and replaced my back fence. I have called him on several occasions for something special that I needed quickly and he always responds immediately and efficiently. Alex and his crew have been caring for my garden for several years. He’s very reliable and easy to work with. He’ll do as much or as little as you want and is true to his word. I have recommended him to friends and neighbors and all have been satisfied with his work.

Alex has designed 2 gardens for me. The first was a total rehaul of our backyard, where Alex put in a landscaped border with all new plants and a small herb garden. Alex put together some design concepts and within only a few weeks, he was able to install the entire back yard and garden, with an irrigation system (on-​time and on-​budget). The yard was in perfect condition when we had to move to Europe a few months later, but it definitely was a great selling point of the house.
When I moved back to SF, I contacted Alex again to design a ‘terrace garden’ on our roof deck. It’s great to have some landscaping on the deck, and Alex set-​up full irrigation so it’s easy to maintain. Plus, Alex does regular maintenance, which means that I just get to enjoy the garden everyday! I highly recommend Alex and his crew.

Several years ago, Alex helped create a beautiful garden for me and has been keeping it beautiful ever since. He has great design sense and practical skills (irrigation, lighting). He’s totally dependable and a real pleasure to work with. I feel very lucky! No hesitation in giving him my highest recommendation.

Alex has excellent creative skills. He listens to the customer and offers alternatives in a professional manner. He arrives when he says he’ll be there. He tells you how much the job will cost and there are no surprises. On time, on budget and cleans up the work site at the end of each day.
Can not say enough about the job he is doing for us. He stepped in when the prior contractor was not performing and did a fantastic job. Absolutely recommend him and his work.
