Awesome guy that is very talented and does amazing work!

I’m at the other end of the age scale than most of Sirron’s students, in my 60’s and went in for the three hour introduction to cartooning for business purposes and thought I would find out how to do something with stick figures. Sirron assured me at the beginning that I would get more than that out of it and I was amazed at what I was able to do in the three hours and how fast the time passed. Sirron is gifted in art and as a teacher. Loved the experience. Now I spend time looking at the comics to get ideas and go on. Will probably go back for more.

I found Sirron through Groupon and signed my 10 year old daughter up for the beginning cartooning class. She loved the class and she loved Sirron. I drove from the east bay (Fremont) every Saturday for the 5 week class and it was worth it! I will be signing her up for the 2^nd class and will do that drive all over again, with pleasure!

My son did the animation camp a few weeks back. He was so inspired that he has been drawing every day since then. Sirron was not only inspiring but he also taught perspective and facial expressions of the characters and how to make them move. I highly recommend the program!

We found Sirron Norris through the Groupon special and we are so glad we did. Our son LOVES Sirron and his cartooning class, and our son thinks Sirron is totally «COOL». Sirron has a unique teaching style and doesn’t hold back by pushing the kids to do their very best… just what my kid needs to get them to do even better. Our son started with the weekly Sat classes, and then he loved it so much we signed him up for the animation camp… on his first day he didn’t want to leave. Also, Sirron was also kind enough to keep our son over to allow us to pick him up, due to our work schedue. We will continue going to Sirron as long as our son is into cartooning and drawing!

My kids look forward to their Saturday morning cartooning art class. Sirron is an awesome instructor and his classes are always entertaining.

I signed my 10 year old niece up for level 1 — Intro to Cartooning class. After the first class I bought her a sketch book and she hasn’t stopped drawing since. Sirron is a great artist and is great with the kids; he’s not too easy on them and not too hard on them either. He encourages them to take the basics he shows them and incorporate their own creativity and style. We drove all the way from Antioch to attend Sirron’s course and it was worth it. It was a great experience for both my niece and I. I recommend this studio to anyone and hope to continue Isabelle on with Level 2 classes in the future.

My 6-​year old son, Max, just completed Sirron’s Intro to Cartooning class. He loved every minute of every class. Max says, «Sirron Norris’s class is the best. It is one of my favorite things to do.»

I’m so glad Sirron is in the Mission. My daughter goes to school across the street and she goes to Sirron’s cartooning class on Saturdays. She. Absolutely. Loves. It.
He’s very energetic and so positive with the kids. It’s great to see a local artist giving back to the community especially to and for the kids.
She will continue to take his classes and we will most definitely be supporting this gallery and all the events held there.

I’ve been a fan of Sirron’s murals and prints for some time.
I was fortunate enough to attend the opening of his new gallery and even though it was incredibly busy (which was great to see), everyone was insanely friendly and took time to answer my questions.
Best of all there were a number of pieces I had not seen before including t-​shirts and things like salt and pepper shakers.
Definitely worth a visit and am looking forward to going back again soon!

Sirron’s work makes me wish I had a kid for only one reason and that is so I could decorate his or her bedroom. Then my kid would have the coolest room out of all his or her friends.
Seriously, all kidding aside, I love the idea behind the studio and of course the artwork. Workshops are being developed for children. That’s awesome and probably the only way to keep kids in the arts since they’re being lost in school. Apprenticeships are being offered. You can purchase his artwork, t-​shirts and other pieces for reasonable prices.
Sirron has a wonderful combination of graphic arts and street murals capturing a youthful whimsy of the SF streets.

Sirron’s Studio is amazing. The Grand opening was fantastic. There was, and are great things to buy at all prices. His art is so inspirational and representative of San Francisco. It’s a great place for all… even Kids!!! This is truly a community oriented gallery. I recommend you take a stroll down Valencia, get a bite to eat and check out some amazing art and an amazing artist. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The gallery opening was fantastic!!! The studio and gallery is very welcoming. The space looks beautiful. I loved all of the art and all of the merchandise. The SF style t-​shirts are so cool, way cooler than the regular tourist t-​shirts. The event was super fun unlike any regular art openings. There was a good variety of people, and everyone seemed like they were having a good time. Sirron is very personable and nice. Can’t wait till the next event at the gallery.

Sirron’s work is fun, provocative, and bridges the child-​adult gap well. I’m glad he’s got a studio at the gallery — it’ll be fun to watch him in action — maybe ther’ll be people lined up at the window like at Krispy Kreme ;)
Definitely worth visiting, and picking up an iconic teddy-​bear shirt.

I’m surprised nobody did a review after that amazing opening last night and I’m even more surprised I have a first review in San Francisco!
Sirron Norris’ new space is bright and welcoming. The characters are very fun — big blue bears, fat cats, and living cityscapes all in vibrant colors.
2010 is going to be Sirron’s year. He’s creating a global brand right here in the mission — murals, prints, shirts, hoodies, wallplates, and he’s even done his own video game!
