Ron was unavailable to be our personal driver, but he helped us so much out of the goodness of his heart! He gave us an itinerary of wineries to visit and what he liked about each one. He also referred us to other drivers to make sure we were in good hands. Super helpful even when he wasn’t getting paid. Thank you Ron!

I would suggest Sir Ron to anybody interested in taking a nice trip to the wineries. I had 5 girlfriends from college come to visit me from the mid west. I wanted to take them on a special trip to Napa and I didn’t want to drive. Sir Ron was the first person I called and he was so friendly and helpful. I decided to check out all of my options first before using Sir Ron. I called him back within 10 minutes to book. You cant beat the personalized care and attention he gives to his customers and their needs. He was so excited for my friends to come visit and he worked hard on helping me plan the perfect tour of Napa. He sent me numerous emails with tips and suggestions. He really puts a personal touch on his service and you can tell he really cares about all of his customers. He is so flexible and extremely knowledgeable about the Sonoma/​Napa area. I felt like we were so lucky to have found him for our trip. We all decided we are going to do another trip soon, and Sir Ron will be with us for sure. Poor service. Ron showed up an hour late to pick up my sister and her friends for their senior prom. The parents asked for his card and were only given three and told to «work it out with the other parents.» When we told him that these are ours kids and we want them to be safe, we were told that we didn’t know how to have fun. When my sister got home, she told us that he drove erratically, jerking at stop signs, sending the passengers flying. He also rushed the guests and honked at them repeatedly when dropping them back off. The service should have been much better for a prom.

When I first moved to SF a couple of my girlfriends came out to visit me. Not knowing the area at all we were looking for an affordable service that could take us around Napa and Sonoma. Sir Ron was very knowledgeable about the area, knew the people working at the wineries and brought us to all the perfect places that we’re not touristy. It was one of the most memorable days I had while living in SF and I highly recommend going with Sir Ron!

Sir Ron took damn good care of us during the Barrel Tasting weekend. He was helpful, friendly and really fun. There’s a reason we’ve hired him twice, and will do so again!

Sir Ron was an absolute blast to spend the day with! He was very prompt in picking our group of 3 girls up at our hotel in San Fran and we had him drive our rental car for the day. While I was hesitant at first to have someone we didn’t know drive our rental car, he quickly proved to be a safe and reliable driver that I would trust any day to drive my own car. He has lots of transportation options ranging from driving his car/​your car/​a rental car, to full limo service and his prices are extremely reasonable!
He was very knowledgeable about the area, recommending a number of great wineries and even calling to book several of our tastings for us. We didn’t have time built into our itinerary for a sit down lunch so he recommended a great deli and offered to pick us up sandwiches and drinks while we were on our first winery tour. Throughout the trip he became one of the gang, telling us stories about the area, snapping endless photos of our crew, and singing along to our favorite tunes! He even let us continue our trip for an extra two hours and recommended an extra winery stop along the way to take in the Napa Valley views.
I would use Sir Ron in a heart beat for my next Sonoma/​Napa trip and highly recommend him to any one looking for a fun, laid back, and very professional driver!

I booked Sir Ron for a girl’s day 6 weeks in advance based on Unilocal reviews. A pick up time, drop off time and address was provided. We confirmed it multple times on his resuest including an out-​of-​the-​blue email asking for a deposit (which I was fine with). When I called to make the deposit, I got an email back saying that Ron needed a break because he had been working too much lately and was going to have to cancel on us. The email was incoherent in nature. IWhen I emailed back asking him about it, the response was just as out there as the initial email. He has now left my group high and dry one week before our trip. This is a horrible thing to do to especially given the timing. I would not trust him nor would I ever recommend booking him.

Sir Ron’s is a super nice, outgoing, and friendly driver. He can drive your car or his own, we used his car because we didn’t know him. However now I’d consider having him drive my car next time around. His insurance is all legit.
He knows the Napa well and befriended some staff at some of the wineries we went to. He was helpful in giving food/​winery recommendations and was flexible to our schedule and what we wanted to do.
He was also very flexible in making stops or getting things if we needed to stop or use the restroom.
I’d use him again, as he was affordable it’s always convenient to have a driver taking you around Wine Country — it’s always better when you don’t have to spit out the wine!

Sir Ron was honestly the best thing that could have happened to our group of 6 for a day in the vineyards. We had an absolute blast!
He arrived 10 minutes early, and patiently waited while we got ourselves together. Drove us over the bridge and to one of the parks so we could get pics with the golden gate on the clear day. Took a scenic route through sausalito (per our request), and then trekked up to Napa.
He was so, so accommodating:
–offering to pick up snacks while we were inside doing tastings
–arranged to get the limo (so I didn’t have to do anything except call him) — which was stocked with glassware, champagne, soda/​water, etc.
–so knowledgeable of the area– gave us tips and told us to «trust him» on a couple of wineries we hadn’t thought of. And of course accommodated our off the beaten path requests. His recommendations were lovely!
–took our picture (over and over again)
–no complaints with a complete party in the back the entire drive back to the city
–was entirely flexible and let us extend our tour by about 2 hours when we were having way too much fun to come back. He will definitely be my go-​to guy for any future Napa tour needs :)

I found Sir Ron on Unilocal and he completely lived up to the rest of the reviews. My 3 best friends from high school were out here visiting SF on our yearly reunion trip and I was stressed about planning the perfect wine country day. Ron listened patiently and asked all the right questions when it came to figuring out exactly which kind of wineries would be best for our group. He really cares about what you hope to get out of the day and the dynamic/​characteristics of the group. He followed up via email promptly with some of his ideas for the day. Ron took my ideas into account but also applied his expertise and knowledge of the area. He was incredibly reliable and I was able to relax and completely enjoy a special time with my friends.
Ron arrived at our hotel in Sonoma a few minutes early and was enthusiastic and ready to go. Ron really struck the perfect balance between contributing to conversation in a positive way and letting us have our time alone at the same time. Ron had a packet of coupons printed and in hand for us to use at almost every winery we visited. He also knew exactly where he was going with directions at all times. The coupons he had were either for free tastings or 2-​for-​1 deals. He made the day go incredibly smoothly and at a very reasonable cost. He was there to take pictures, impart knowledge on the area when asked, and make us laugh. He knows his audience and fits into groups really well.
It is clear that Ron is passionate about what he does and he is a true expert on all of wine country. He makes you feel happy, safe and catered to. He knew the best market to pick up lunch and precisely which winery had a beautiful picnic area to eat for no cost. If you are planning a trip to wine country and are in search of a driver and an amazing day, you should look no further! Thanks Ron!

Hands down and without a doubt, Ron made our trip to Napa amazing. Not only did he make our day trip simple by making the arrangements easy to coordinate and providing his service at a great rate, he totally became part of our group’s experience. Ron provided us with great suggestions and intel of the area, and I don’t think we’ve all laughed so much in a long time. Sir Ron is awesome. We had a wedding in healdsburg and couldn’t find a hotel for one night. My friend suggested hiring a driver and after a little research I found Sir Ron. Best decision ever. He picked us up midday, toured us around wine country, drove us to the wedding, and drove us home to the city afterward. He is a great conversationalist and makes the day even more fun. Highly recommended

My boyfriend and I found Sir Ron through a friend. I was flying in from New York & we were looking for an affordable way to see Napa and it was the best decision we could have made.
Ron helped me plan our route the week before, and took us to several wineries that we knew of, and also suggested some others that were great — our favorite winery of the day was one that he picked out (Case Nuestra), we never would have know to go there otherwise. He also had some 2 for 1 coupons that we were ablet to use.
Ron also found a good, cheap place for us to grab lunch, and was so funny and friendly — by the end of the day, we were all singing Bruce Springsteen songs along with my Ipod — hilarious!
His prices are reasonable, timing is flexible and you definitely get the most out of the experience — Ron, we will be back!

A few weeks prior to our trip, he sent us a list of wineries that he liked, as well as information about tasting fees and reservations, so we were all set with our itinerary when he came to pick us up from our hotel in San Francisco.
We spent the day with Ron, visiting four great wineries. He gladly worked as our photographer, made friendly USC sports conversation, and told us about a great pastrami sandwich in the Valley.
If I ever go back to Napa, I’m definitely calling Ron. He wears a fun hat, too, which is cool if you’re into that kind thing.

We hired Sir Ron to drive us (3 couples) around Sonoma Valley during the Barrel tasting festival. Ron and I communicated in the weeks leading up to our trip and I found Ron to be very responsive and helpful in setting up our trip. Though we had several wineries we were interested in seeing, Ron made several suggestions to help round out our selections.
On the day of the trip, Sir Ron arrived at our meeting place exactly on time. When he introduced himself he made all of us feel very at ease and he fit into the group quite well. He had a good sense of humor but yet he didn’t over step his bounds. He drove my car so I could partake in the tasting festivities and at no time did I feel uncomfortable with him behind the wheel. I watched and saw that he never exceeded the speed limit and made no aggressive moves in traffic. He had plotted out the tasting ahead of time so he new exactly where to go and the best way to get there. At each winery he let us off at the door of the tasting room and then parked the car. In some of the wineries he came in to look around and talk with people but he always kept an eye on our group and as soon as we were ready to go he was there waiting with the car to go to our next stop. We visited 6 wineries and had ample time at each with no rushing around.
I felt that Sir Ron was a real find and met our needs exactly. His price was reasonable (far cheaper than renting a limo) and his company added to our overall experience. I would highly recommend Ron to anyone who is looking for a driver in the bay area and would not hesitate to hire him again if the need arises.

Our small group was pretty disorganized. Getting three busy workaholics to set aside some time to sip wine is a major accomplishment in itself, especially when no one is local and no one has time to plan.
When I finally sketched out an itinerary the day before our departure that would take about 3 days to cover, Sir Ron was happy to review it with me and suggest a plan of attack that would be more enjoyable for the 8 hours we had lined our for our tasting adventure. We agreed to finalize our destinations in the morning on the way up north. Ron had programmed directions to all possible permutations of my wishlist into his trusty GPS so we were ready to go wherever the wind blew and not waste time getting lost in the process.
We set out for the Russian River Valley and our first detour turned into the best adventure of the day. Littorai had an opening at 10 am, could we make it? Thanks to Sir Ron we could and we did! What a great way to kick off our trip– tromping through the bio-​dynamic vines and tasting the results. Fantastic.
When we arrived in Healdsburg for more concentrated tasting and lunch, Ron was off to find us multiple menus to find the perfect spot to refuel our empty stomachs while we squeezed in one more flight before sitting down to dine. That is going above and beyond!
When you’re used to relying on the phone in your pocket to point the way, it’s a really nice treat to have a real live human working with you who has the inside scoop and years of experience. Plus, his prices are totally reasonable.
We’ll be back to tackle Sonoma Valley and dive into Napa and we won’t do it without Sir Ron.

Sir Ron. Well… you need to meet him, he is fabulous! We were looking for an inexpensive way to go to Napa/​Sonoma on a Saturday in October. I Unilocaled and Sir Ron’s Driving Service popped up with excellent reviews. I was excited and gave him a call! Nicest guy ever! He gave suggestions on wineries and gave me a couple options. He first asked how many people we had going, we had six. If we would have had 5 or less he could have driven his own van. Another option would have been him renting a limo for a reasonable amount of money and driving us. We went with option 3, renting a minivan for Sir Ron to drive (he can drive your own car too). He arrived on time with a GPS, winery coupons and the itinerary I made in hand. We were ready to go! Ron knows so much about everything! If you have a question, he has the answer! He is definitely not one of those snooty drivers. He is down to earth, personable, hysterical and a character of his own all while opening doors, helping you out of the car, and handing bottles of wine given to him by wineries to the nice lady at the Golden Gate Bridge toll booth. We didn’t just have a driver, we had a friend. We had such a great time! We ran over our schedule by an hour and he was very flexible. We will definitely be calling Sir Ron again!

Sir Ron introduced us to Jesus. Seriously. He drove us on a wine trip to Napa on the Saturday before Halloween and we encountered a winery employee in a Jesus costume. Even though we broke bread with Jesus, Ron was the real hero of the day: a prophet who gives great advice on which wineries to hit and telling his great stories and a savior since he got us there and back safely and in one piece. We may have rolled down the road singing the Doobie Bro’s «Jesus is Just Alright to Me» but Ron is just the Best!
