Showing On, LAc, MS

I’ve been seeing Showing for about 3 years now, and she’s helped me through a variety of issues including chronic migraines, headaches, neck pain, a severe foot injury and general stress and tension.
I have seen other acupuncturists and Showing is by far the best. When visiting other acupuncturists, sometimes the points where the needles were inserted have ached days following treatment and I have never experienced this with Showing. She is very gentle, always swabs your skin before inserting needles and is very communicative.
She runs a wonderful community acupuncture lounge and also does massage. Her services are very reasonably priced.
I see her semi-​regularly and I know her treatment has significantly improved my life. When I first starting seeing her, I was getting migraines 2 – 3 times monthly and now they are down to 2 – 3 times a year. Amazing!

I’ve been to many acupuncturists but Showing On is truly gifted. I’m always skeptical at first but then I am always blessed by her craft really does work.

Showing is a gifted healer, and an outstanding acupuncturist. I’d met her at Dr. Lifang Liang’s practice and thought very highly of her. When Dr. Liang retired late last year, I transferred my treatment to Showing, and have been extremely pleased with the results. She’s very warm, and funny, and just a delight. I prefer her office, too, and her hours are very accomodating. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Showing is great. I’ve visited to use the Community Acupuncture Lounge. I was going to manage some fatigue and lack of concentration that I had a hard time shaking. I went for about 6 – 8 weeks and it was a really good experience. The space is comfortable. Showing has a very kind and attentive demeanor. And the price point allowed me to go back multiple times and get the full benefit of the service. I’ve recommended her since to lots of folks. I think Showing is tops.

I have had carpal tunnel on and off for the past 10 years and acupuncture has always helped. Showing has been treating me recently and it has been the most effective ever… thanks for the healing hands Showing!!!

A five star rating is as good as it gets on Unilocal and Showing deserves all five. I visited her during my first vacation to San Francisco. Folks this woman has SKILLS! She is also very compassionate and a great communicator. I plan to return just to visit her every vacation this year and eventually return for 10 weeks for one of her more special treatments. She is great. Go see her.

I came in for shoulder pains and overall feeling of lethargy, and I came out of Showing’s clinic feeling totally refreshed. The pain was gone after the session and I felt a sense of balance and energy. The severe moodiness that I had been experiencing during the last few weeks melted away — I was really, really amazed and impressed. I’ll definitely be going back for regular tune-​ups in the future.
(My boyfriend had been trying to convince me to go for acupuncture with her for a long time, and I’m so glad I finally did. I can’t believe I hadn’t gone earlier!)

I have had a lot of acupuncture in my life and Showing is one of the best acupuncturists’ I have ever seen. I find her to be a very intuitive and compassionate healer.
I went to see her for some chronic issues at first, but shortly after I first saw her I came down with pneumonia. I went to my western medicine doc to get antibiotics and then made my way over to Showings for extra support.
She has been building my strength and helping me get back on my feet. I keep trying to rush my treatment and she slows me down. She finds the right balance between listening to what you want and doing what is best for you. (sometimes what I want her to do and what is best for me are two different things.)
Aside from being a compassionate and patient caregiver, she also offers her excellent skills at very affordable prices. A private appointment for acupuncture will run you about $ 80-​$ 120 a session. Pretty steep, but I have paid it when I have really needed it.
Showing has a acupuncture «lounge.» You sit in a very comfy chair in a room with other patrons. She offers the same needling on a sliding scale of $ 20-​$ 40 a session. That is AMAZING! The same care at a very affordable price.
Normally I have to limit the appointments I get because the cost adds up fast. Her «lounge» allows me the luxery of seeing her weekly. She listens patiently, takes notes, takes ALL your pulses. (I guess there are actually 8 she can listen to) and never rushes a appointment. You stay until your treatment is done.
She also will give you herbs to take in between visits if they are called for and will even make your followup apppointment online for you before you leave.
Run…go now… make a appointment to see her… kick your feet up and hit the acupuncture lounge.

I have had a wonderful experience going to Showing On’s Acupuncture Lounge at the On Wellness Center. The center itself is conveniently located downtown, about a block from the Montgomery train station. She shares an office with a couple other acupuncturists, but despite the traffic of customers, the entire unit feels relaxed. It’s dimly lit, with meditative music playing, comfy chairs, stylish Asian décor, and tea to sip while you wait.
After treatments and relaxing in such a calm environment, I feel I came from a spa, rather than an acupuncture clinic!
Showing’s hours accommodate the working schedule, so you can stop by for a 1-​hr visit during lunch hour or right after work. You can be treated in a private room or, if you’re poor like me, opt for the «Acupuncture Lounge» experience which is on a sliding scale from $ 20 – 40 per session, not including herbal medicines. The Lounge patients are treated in one of three foyer areas. People are coming and going, but as I mentioned, the entire office is calm and relaxing.
Showing herself is great too! She friendly and pleasant, very thorough in her analysis and treatment, wonderful to talk to, and very helpful in answering questions and explaining treatments. I was treated for an ongoing UTI that regular antibiotics didn’t clear up, and she made me better in just a couple days.
For those new to acupuncture, it may sound really foreign and intimidating, but Showing makes it applicable to you and your life. She’s very talented and caring. I highly recommend the On Wellness Clinic.

Showing gave me a very thorough and caring consultation, assessment and acupuncture treatment on my first visit. I went in to see her feeling very stressed and disconnected from my body. she helped me to feel more balanced, just by how she listened to me with compassion and was very attentive to my body’s signals. She also gave me a mini shiatsu shoulder massage, which was AMAZING! I look forward to getting more treatments from her, especially now that she has an «downtown acupuncture lounge» available on a sliding scale. Showing is competent, caring and very attentive. I’m so glad I found her!

I met Showing when she was working at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic and jumped at the chance to to have her work on me in her own space. I’ve had a lot of massages, I know a good massage from a not so good one.
This was one of the most relaxing, satisfying and effective massages I have ever had. Her hands melted my tension away. I felt like I was walking on air leaving and had the best nights sleep ever.
The room was warm, comfortable, clean and inviting. I highly recommend Showing and can’t wait to head back for some acupuncture. Do yourself a favor and give her a call.

I knew Showing from school, but never had the chance to receive a massage for her. Well, I had one today, and I wish I had not waited so long!
As a bodyworker myself, I appreciate good work — and that is what Showing does. She was very attentive to my problem areas (low back and shoulders) while giving a great holistic massage. She even found areas that I didn’t know where bugging me – my neck is so much looser than when I went in.
Her style is a very relaxing shiatsu that did a great job of releasing my tight muscles, and she was very capable of providing deep pressure when needed.
On top of this all, Showing has a very relaxing and comfortable personality that makes for a stress-​free session.
