Meet the Business Owner

Nada R.

Business Owner

Nada Rastad is a startup and entertainment law attorney in San Francisco, California. Her practice encompasses the transactional needs of small companies, with specific focus on intellectual property and general legal consulting on regulatory schemes.

Nada has hands-​on experience working with startups. She has worked on the Support and Trust and Safety teams at Edmodo early on in the company’s life cycle, redesigning the way the company handled flagged users and security.

At Hastings Nada was a senior editor of COMM/​ENT: Journal for Communications and Entertainment Law, where she wrote on the future of copyright law and fair use given the prevance of digital music sampling. She was also an active member of the Iranian Law Students Assocation.

Before becoming an attorney, Nada was a high school English teacher in the Bronx, New York and a Teach for America corps member. She has remained an avid advocate for educational equity.
