Meet the Business Owner

Marty C.

Business Owner

I am a fervent student of the art of physical culture and a serious fan of the iron game. I have been training for a total of 36 years and I practice what I preach. I began lifting weights 27 years ago and today I am just as passionate about the art and science of strength and muscular development as when I started. For me, weight training is way of life. It satisfies a deep-rooted hunger in my heart; it delights my spirit and is the medicine that keeps me from going haywire.

I began my career as a Certified Personal Trainer in San Francisco back in 1993 and I have been certified as a Fitness Instructor ever since. Currently I am certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

In my early teens I began my athletic career as a long-distance runner. After training for a few years with the goal of taking first place in competition, I used the power of the mind to win my first marathon in 1981. This experience taught me the power of visualizing a goal during training.
