The cheapest I found in San Francisco for a cracked IPad2 screen. Reasonable and fast too! Highly recommended!

Blake did a two jobs for me. The first job was quick and efficient. Work was well done.
I used his services again to help with an iPad mini which had a broken screen. He took a look at it and estimated the job to take a few days. Few days, turned to a few weeks. Numerous calls and text messages to get updates didn’t help the process. It was always a different excuse — poor quality parts from his supplier, the extraordinary difficulty in replacing screens in iPad minis, etc. etc.
Finally asked for broken mini to be returned so I can take it to another repair shop. No iPad mini has been returned, Blake has quit responding to phone calls and text messages.

Cracked my screen and took it to SF iPhone & iPad Repair (aka iFix). After several trips, Blake broke several other features (TouchID, ringer sound, screen dimmer, internal gyrometer which allow you to rotate your screen and track movements for certain apps) and replaced with a lower quality screen (that cracked on its own a few weeks later just in my purse). My phone ended up in worst shape than when I took it in in the beginning. Stay away.

Blake came and picked up my ipad, was going to return it the next day. That was 5 days ago and I can’t reach him to get my ipad back. The ipad has to be worth less than the fee to fix it as it’s super old, I just want it back…

This guy is a crook. He took my ipad and iphone and said he would fix them the next day. He stole them and I still haven’t gotten them back. He was definitely on drugs and was acting like a crack head. DO NOT TRUST HIM

I am not typically a Unilocal reviewer but I found this business based on the reviews and thought I should share my story in hopes of deterring others from using this company.
I took a cracked iPad mini screen to Blake in late June and he was very friendly and helpful — the price offered was reasonable vs. others in the area (but higher than the $ 110 on the website) and his credit card mark-​up was very high — more than 10% — so I mistakenly paid cash. The device was repaired and given back to me the next day and all seemed well until I noticed the screen had a faint but noticeable scratch. I took the device back and he put a new screen on only to have the home button nor the touch sensitivity on the device work — this occurred on three additional attempts at a screen installation. After 5 tries I contacted him to let him know that it still didn’t work and his response (direct quote as I have the text message): «I’m not sure how to fix the issue… what would you want me to do exactly?» I let him know that I would happily return the current screen if he would refund my purchase price but never heard from him again. My wife and I stopped by on numerous occasions over the last two weeks and he has not been there nor responded to calls or texts. I took the device to another repair company and their first reaction was «whoever installed the last screen did it completely wrong and managed to damage your LED in the process» (I had assumed that was just residue under the last screen but apparently its actual damage to the device).
I have continued to call and text the owner to try and obtain my money back but have been unsuccessful and given the cash payment have no recourse. Please do not take your device to this company and if you do, go ahead and pay the credit card fee (which includes having to pay sales tax so I am not sure the Company’s tax reporting is complete) so you have some recourse if you end up in the same situation as I am in now.

I made an appointment, drove to his office, and he was not there. His officemates said he had not been there in multiple weeks. His voicemail was full and he did not respond to my texts. I wasted time driving there and back.

Blake was great! Just moved my daughter to San Fran. Her ipad fell off the bed and hit the side of the ipad right where the volume control button is located! Bad luck for us that it happened on July 4^th! Ugh!!!
Looked on line found this place went and got it fixed! ON JULY 4h!!!

Blake has his cell phone with him at all time. If you need someone to fix your phone, computer, ipad etc. We recommend HIM!!!
$ 100.00 charge but he got it working again! Saved the price of a new ipad!

Andrew is an master! He is precise and knows what he’s doing. He fixed my cracked I phone 5s under 30 minutes and didn’t cut any corners. I used to go to another place, but will never go back after my experience today. Cracking your screen sucks, but getting it fixed was painless and seamless. I recommend iphix to everyone.

Blake got me in for same-​day service when I phoned him up at 4pm on a Friday to ask if he could replace my ipad screen. He fixed it while I went to some shops around the corner and I came back just before he closed up. New screen worked just fine. I would have been simply satisfied at that. However, when I left his shop, I left my phone behind and didn’t realize it until I had biked nearly all the way back to the Mission from N. Beach! Cursing my dumb-​assery, I tried to find a land line somewhere, but then gave up and went home, only to learn that he had managed to call my wife and find out where I live, and moments later he was at our door with my phone. All this at about 8PM on a Friday. Now THAT’S good service. Thanks Blake!

Blake is a great guy offering the best service. My ipad mini had a cracked screen and he fixed it at the spot. Found out other mechanical issue then he took it to Apple store and solved the problem. I took my mini from east bay since his price is reasonable and has good rating and it was worth it. I definitely recommend his service.

My iPhone 5s was not only cracked, it was completely smashed and broken. I couldn’t even swipe. The glass was falling off. The tech fixed it fast while I waited. Now the screen looks great shiny and brand new. The price was just right. Cheap. Can’t be more pleased. Thanks Blake for an awesome repair. I’ve got a MacBook Pro and an iMac. If they break I’ll definitely be returning.

I found Blake via Unilocal.My iPad needed a new screen — couldn’t operate it anymore, due to one too many cracks. Blake picked it up at short notice, and planned to finish it a few hours later, after another appointment. It took him a few hours longer than he expected, but he dropped it off in excellent shape. The price was great — much lower than I payed a couple of years ago in LA, the first time the screen cracked.
All in all, he got the job done fast, for a great price. I’m a very satisfied customer.

Apparently Blake had been out of the area for a few months. He contacted me earlier this month and stated he was back and wanted to finish the job. Now that the job is complete (finally), I can happily say that Blake does a really good job and our iPad 2 is looking as good as new!
Updating from before: the iPad screen cracked without dropping it a couple of months after the repair.

Blake is a top notch, friendly, service oriented guy who goes to great lengths to make sure you are ok with his work. I had an iPad 2 that had a busted up screen and dinged corner for 6 months, and literally dreading taking it to Apple, as they charge almost as much as a new one to get the screen repaired. I finally poked around in Unilocal,saw the reviews, and biked on by, dropped my screen off, thinking it was going to take a week or two to get fixed. Wrong… try 24 hours, and per Blake, that’s longer than he usually takes (same day).
Because of the dinged corner, he suggested a special glue reinforcement, and he also cleared out an inside smudge on the glass that he spotted, but was nearly indistinguishable to me. I’ll definitely be using him in the future, and have no problems recommending him to other Apple bust devices.

Highly recommend Blake for any of your high tech needs. He’s super fast and knowledgable. I had a broken iPad 3 screen and he fixed it in no time. It was interesting to see the process and care it takes to fix such a device.

Blake’s a sugar-​fueled mad genius, a whirlwind of impatient tech smarts. He can fix an ipad per hour and that’s him making sure to go slow and do it right.
I’ve been jerked around by the other guys and had parts harvested over the four days the fixes took, while Blake explains to me everything that’s wrong with my ipad while he regales me with stories of entrepreneurial adventures and his more amusing customers.
He has a passion for it and will send a guy to pick up your Apple thing if you want. Dude wants market share and he deserves it.

my iphone 4S screen was cracked and after numerous quotes from other places listed on Unilocal i found Blake.
At $ 70 for a 30 minute fix was worth it.
the screen is good as new!
however, i didnt realize all these repair palces were located in their own homes. i gues thats smart because you save money from renting a kiosk at the mall or paying rent at a store!

Blake is hands down awesome. He was nice, understanding and willing to explain a quite a bit about his process. He was SUPER flexible with my busy schedule and to right to the point. Blake is also the LEAST expensive screen repair that I could find in SF and unlike most repair companies he is located in the heart of the city.
I was lucky enough to find him on Craiglist and I’ve already recommended him to multiple co-​workers and friends. I was so impressed with his work that I demanded he give me his Unilocal page so that I could review him.
Blake knew EXACTLY what he was doing with my phone which was quite impressive, I had no issues handing my phone over to him (he even recycled my old screen!). Blake installed one screen that didn’t work (bad screen), not an issue, he immediatley resolved it! Tested a second screen before fully installing it and bam I was done. Did I mention he did all this meticulous work in a busy coffee shop?
If I ever have another issue, Blake will be at the very top of my list to contact. Blake almost sounds too good to be true, but I’d be happy to field any questions about his work if you think my review is fake.

My iPad screen had been cracked for a while and I was avoiding the repair based on money and time. I wish I had found Blake sooner. He was the only person to quote me same day service and he was less expensive than anyone else. I was super happy and surprised that he did the whole glass repair in an hour!
Some helpful hints: Blake is a real start up, he works out of his apartment. Blake prefers cash.
