Sew Fun To Learn

I highly recommend Sew Fun To Learn for birthday parties! Leura is so wonderful with the kids and so entertaining. The kids loved her and they loved going home with a handmade project. Leura came very prepared, all supplies and set-​up were done by her, so as the host it made the birthday party a joy for me as well. If you are looking for a fun, original idea for a birthday party definitely try Sew Fun to Learn!

Leaura is so energetic and attentive with kids and what can be a better girls party, than a sewing party! I highly recommend her, my daughter and her friends won’t stop talking about THE PARTY :-) As far as party entertainment goes, you will get a great memory for your money too.

I just went to a sewing party hosted by instructor Leura. I’m going to start off by saying my talents do not lie in sewing, or anything related to thread and needles. Leura patiently coaxed out of me a very nice project that I was able to take home and show off to my boyfriend. Her demeanor is pleasant, funny and intelligent and she truly enjoys people, and teaching people. My next party will be a sewing party with Leura!

Wow, I just attended the most fun ladies’ party, and actually have something to show for it other than a hangover! Our teacher Leura showed the group some simple hand-​stitching techniques and we all decorated our reusable grocery totes that we had brought from home, making them so much cuter. Leura has a genuinely warm personality, and she was really entertaining as well. She helped the beginners get started, while also recognizing who was ready to get stitching right away. She encouraged us to be creative rather than follow a set pattern, and explained every step from threading the needle, tying knots, and even how to choose a contrasting stitching color and add layers. The projects all ended up totally different and just adorable. I saw an adorable owl, a cute car, several fish (one with bubbles and one that was puffy!), hearts, flowers, and a bumblebee (on an old BevMo bag haha). When people got frustrated or encountered a problem, Leura was right there to help troubleshoot. She was also very encouraging and seemed delighted with everyone’s efforts. Within about an hour and a half or two, everyone had more or less completed their project. Leura said she mostly specializes in teaching children to sew (every child should learn to sew, in my opinion), but I think a sewing party, or «stitch n bitch» is perfect for anyone who just wants to get in touch with their inner child and create something fun! I will definitely be remembering to take my cute lotus grocery tote shopping with me, because I can’t wait to show it off. This was a fantastic experience!
