Setrak’s Watch Repair

Called ahead and walked over. Had my Tag battery replaced with new gaskets and pressure tested in less than 10 minutes. Very reasonable prices and very friendly! Look forward to doing more business.

5 minutes, 20 bucks, watch fixed. Yes, it was a trivial fix, but I know nothing about watch repair. Overall, pleasant experience.

I called first, and he was very professional on the phone. He changed the battery on my Baume & Mercier in just a couple of minutes, and the price was very reasonable. He also has a nice selection of watch bands.

Truthfully, I feel safer bringing my watch here than sending it back to Omega, Rolex, etc. for servicing.

Great experience. I took in my epos mechanical watch after pulling the crown/​stem straight out. Setrak was kind enough to open it up to find that the holding screw for the crown/​stem was very loose. He tightened it up, put it back together and gave it back, super quickly and all free of charge. Nice, friendly guy that was a pleasure to deal with. I have a lot of mechanical/​automatic watches, I’m sure I’ll be coming back to him.

Amazing service. When the crown on my Omega watch fell off, I searched on Unilocal to find the best place to repair it. I’m glad I did, because Mr. Setrak’s speed and skill were spectacular, and he fixed the problem in under 15 min. The twisting action is smoother than ever. I would be happy to take the commute from Mountain View to the City and back again if my watch needs repairs in the future. Thank you!

Outstanding customer service! I consulted with Setrak for advice and he showed me exactly what the problem was. We talked about the best way to address it, and he gave me fair and selfless advice (because of the easier availability of parts, I decided to take the watch back to Switzerland.) I will happily come back for my other watch needs.

Setrak fixed an old diamond watch for me that a previous jeweler had converted the works to a battery. Also somehow moisture had gotten in. He found parts, even teeny hands and fixed the whole thing. I would totally trust him with your special watch.

Service was done on the spot. He is the only guy who can service Baume Merciers in downtown SF. Quick and friendly service. Very knowledgeable. Will continue using him and referring him.

I’ve been going to «Tour-​no» at more than twice the cost for a battery change with longer wait time and way less service.
Setrak had me out in about 15 minutes but during that time, he was very informative and explained the services he provided.
First, he showed me the cheaper battery that was installed by the mall store. Second, he showed me the original gaskets on both the crown and battery cover that should have been replaced long ago. Finally, he showed me the pressure test on my watch as it was being done.
It’s a tiny little shop with a great owner and I will be going back to Setrak for all services on my Omega.

I was referred to him by a friend and he does amazing work at a very reasonable price. His battery’s always last 4 years before I need a replacement, he told me he only buys as needed so that his customers always gets the freshest battery’s.
My watch is always done in 15mins or so.
I’ve been going to him for 8 years and will continue to do so.

Mr. Setrak was such a great guy and really helpful. I came to replace the band on my grandfather in-law’s Rolex, and he fixed it up really quick! My husband received his grandfather’s watch after he passed away, and the band was really worn out and it was unwearable, and since it was older it didn’t really match my husband’s taste. So they gave me tons of options of bands to fit his taste, and I found one for $ 150 (it was an alligator leather band). Got it all done within 30 minutes. Maybe even 15.
Great service and very knowledgable. But they only take cash so be prepared! I had to run down the block to take cash out since I had forgot.

Simply the best watchmaker EVER. I have known Setrak for over 25 years and I fly in my watches from Atlanta to have them serviced. He is THAT good.

Wow, what a guy. I have actually been dealing with Setrak for about a year and a half. I am a big fan of vintage time pieces, and over a few several months I brought a few time pieces to him to take a look at, as well as a few others that needed a quick band replacement. He did most of it all at no charge, since he actually loves what he does and is one of those few individuals that realizes that if you treat people a certain way, they will keep coming back and eventually your goodwill will return back to you.
About two months ago a vintage JLC timepiece that I own stopped winding. I brought it in to Setrak, who gave me an estimate and told me to wait approx 5 – 8 weeks. About 7 weeks later, he called me and told me to come on in. When I came it, Setrak was nice enough to actually give me a pretty detailed account of how the watch works and the many issues I had with it. He even gave me a separate package with the watch’s busted parts to I could see for myself what went wrong. He ended up doing a complete overhaul of the watch for a fraction of what it would have cost had I ended up taking it to a JLC dealer.
Bottom line, Setrak is a rare gem of a businessman. Honest, and knows his profession really well. My vintage timepiece now runs like I bought it new!

The ONLY Place I entrust my Dunhill Watches to!
My husband was in San Francisco on business and went to Mr. Setrak to meet him for the first time after knowing him for several years through his former employment with Alfred Duhill. They closed Several years ago in the U.S. with the exception of NY and we Knew the Only place to take our watches was to Mr. Setrak.
He uses Genuine Factory parts, is Swiss trained and gives great attention to detail. My husband and I value his knowledge and training and it’s clearly seen in how well my timepiece runs. Thank you Mr. Setrak for caring about craftsmanship and taking pride in your work, it is MOST Appreciated!

I ran over after work & he replaced my battery on the spot. Suddenly realized I left my purse at work & literally ran back to work to grab my bag then ran back to pay for & get my watch right before they left.
The owner was so nice to let me in to get my watch so I wouldn’t have to wait until the next day.

Came to get the battery replaced on my husband’s Omega watch that was gifted to him several years ago by his father.

+Battery Replacement– $ 25 (depends on the specific make of your watch)
+Resizing– $ 25 to take out a link to make it smaller and more fitted to his wrist (again depends on your own watch); he told me that the previous craftsman damaged the little rod that holds the links together and that he was surprised the watch didn’t get lost. He seemed pretty upset by it but I have no idea what the previous watch guy did so I don’t know why this is my fault.
The services are expensive but he got the job done on the spot in 20 minutes.
The Shreve & Co downstairs ask double the service fee ($ 50 for battery replacement) that Setrak does and all they do is take the elevator up to give it to him.
