Eh, where do I begin?
I was one of their extras for the video they shot a while ago. I enjoyed working with Beau, David and their film crew– they were all really nice and genuine people. But working with Peter was nearly impossible! He was very arrogant and rude not only to me and other extras, but to his employees as well. I don’t know how other people put up with his behavior.
Sorry Seedwell, you get only one star just because of PETER.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with the Seedwell guys on a number of projects in 2009 and I can say without reservation that they do amazing work. I am the CEO of a team building company that stages high-​tech adventures for company off-​sites. On many occasions, our clients request a video component to commemorate the event and share it with their friends and colleagues, or to advertise their wares virally. Seedwell has been a valuable partner for us to provide our clients with these creative services.
To start, they have top of the line professional gear and ace videographers who are knowledgeable about the equipment and how to use it. Largely because of David Fine, who brings with him a wealth of filming and editing experience, you can rest easy knowing that they are going to capture the one-​time live event without exception. He comes by way of USC film school and a strong background in documentary filmmaking.
What sets Seedwell apart from other production companies that we have worked with is their level of creativity. They are first and foremost an idea firm and we have called them in for several brainstorming sessions for our clients who are looking to market their products in unique ways. Beau and Peter are hysterical idea guys who are passionately engaged with their art of viral video and will amaze you with their characters, their parody ideas and their take on contemporary culture.
And to top it off Beau comes from a project management background at Microsoft, so he is extremely gifted with setting realistic goals, working through the scope of the project, drafting proposals and staying ahead of the game with regular communication. He is always reachable, extremely flexible and a joy to work side-​by-​side with.
Over the summer of 2009 we were contracted by a SF tech company to stage a flash mob game for their entire company on a sunny day in Berkeley. Seedwell was brought on the scene to capture the day’s activities. They managed to edit down a fantastic final product in one day, as per the client’s request. They made our client look amazing and us look good in the process as well.
The folks at Seedwell were also behind a Bollywood themed fundraising event aimed to raise $ 10,000 for a non-​profit that provides goats to poor families in India. During the course of the two hour game in Upper Haight, they shot and directed eight scenes performed by the players who are by no means professional actors. An astounding feat for sure. But perhaps most amazing was the lightning fast editing done by Peter at the conclusion of the game. He managed to cut together a masterful movie that we all got to enjoy on the big screen. That means he captured, edited, titled and exported a Final Cut HD 3 minute movie in 30 minutes! We plan on offering this unique service for future events for our clients.
My advice is to get these guys working for your product soon, as they are booking up fast. Their expertise is in parody, viral video ideation and creation, but they are also great interviewers, storytellers and post production whizzes. I only hope that I can afford their services when I some day get married!

What a great experience working with Seedwell. If you’re looking for a video/​film crew that is smart, witty, and professional — whether for corporate, viral, or anything else — Beau and Peter are truly the best. They are extremely professional, courteous, proactive, communicative, and have a great sense of humor. They even participated in interviewing our tournament players (as per our request)!
Most recently, we hired them to create a 3 minute video of a game tournament. The event was for journalists, and the end video was used for media distribution. They did a great job in making the final video fun, concise, and professional.

For onsite filming, Seedwell arrived at the event on time, set up quickly, and were proactive in finding all the things they needed at the venue (electricity/​fuses, places to set up, etc.). They ensured our guests had a great time being interviewed, and worked extremely well with our other vendors and MCs.
On the production end, we had requested a rush job, with the final video due by the following day at 12 noon for our journalists (giving Seedwell less than 14 hours to turn the video around). For those who don’t know, that isn’t a whole lot of time, so they pulled an all-​nighter for us. We packed them some leftover event food; and two Red Bulls and four Frappuccinos later, they sent us the first draft video at 9:30 am. It was spot on, and the clients were extremely happy for a perfect first pass final.
I am definitely calling on them again for all my future event and video needs, and highly recommend them to any Unilocalers looking for a professional video crew with an excellent sense of humor. It seems they’re able to film anything, and make it worth watching.
