San Francisco Estate Sales

1^st class company that provides a 1^st class estate sale experience. The staff is great and went out of their way to help me in ways most companies don’t. Their attention to detail and quality of work is why I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market!

Seriously, why would you end your sale at 3 PM on a Saturday? And then not even have any hours at all on Sunday? Especially during great weather. Most all of the other companies end their sales at 5. I guess they’re just not that interested in getting their client’s stuff sold.

These Women are awesome. I have been to a couple of sales now and each time have had a GREAT experience. Each sale is very professional, clean, and organized. They have exceeded my expectations and have created an environment that makes for a VERY satisfied and loyal customer/​client. Deene and Janie are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, they carry themselves and their business very well. They have a strong sense of professionalism– They are fabulous business women.
San Francisco Estate Sales is intense to a fault. Competing companies should definitely be on the look out because these gals’ know how to rock it!

If you’re looking for heavily used items at close to retail price or even above retail, you’ve come to the right place! At San Francisco Estate Sales, we have used tools, televisions, furniture, beds, and useless junk at retail prices! Remember that big screen tv that you were eyeing in Bestbuy five years ago? Well great news! We have that exact same television in used condition for slightly more than the retail sticker Bestbuy had it for!

Ok seriously, who actually attends these estate sales and purchases useless junk at these prices? To top it off, most of the staff didn’t seem very friendly. They would only greet «certain» customers. Discrimination at it’s best. However, there was one lady who seemed rather friendly who was working on the first level. Can’t quite recall her name but needless to say, the junk they had for sale was ridiculous.
Please please please do yourselves a favor and stay away from their estate sales. Unless you’re looking for overpriced used junk, then I’d recommend the typical garage sale by owner. That way, you’re truly helping out your community.

I still have one more day to go before we finish up, but I can state that Janey and Deene are the best! I’ve been cleaning up for the last 3 years to give you an idea of how much stuff we had. I liked them immediately on our initial meeting and was happy to hear that they also helped some friends with their move. They are very organized and have a great team working with them – the 2 Carmens were also wonderful! Day one went amazingly well and I can’t wait for Day 2! I already have some champagne chilling in the refrigerator so we can celebrate when the sale is over. It is amazing how far and wide their net of advertisement extends. They have lots of contacts with lots of different regular collectors and dealers. I recommend them highly. You can’t go wrong!

Worst experience ever !!! Absolutely not worth to line up for their estate sales !!!
My husband and I booked flight ticket from LA to SF in advance to attend one of the estates sales !!! Two days before the sales, we realized the items we want were REMOVED (no longer available) as we called TWO TIMES before confirming with their staffs and they said They Will not let anyone to buy it before the sales and it will be available at the sales !!! Absolutely DISHONEST company !!!
My husband and my friends were the first few people on the sign up list. When they called the name on the list, we realized that some ppl cheated about it and just wrote their name next to our name to make it that we are the same party causing my friend not able to go in with us. When we asked them to do something about it, the lady (I believe the owner) raised her voice ! STOP! NO ARGUE !!! And she just ignored it ! she was SO RUDE !!! Very unorganized !!!
Plus, their items are absolutely OVERPRICED !!! Even more than market price !!! Not worth it at all !! They originally set a price for one of the items which we clearly can see it $ 800 each on the picture but I believe since a lot of ppl asking for it before the sales. They raised it to $ 1200 each !!! RIDICULOUS!!!

San Francisco Estate Sales is wonderful; simply stated: Janie and Deene are Wonderful. We have lived in our San Francisco home for 32 years and have collected/​acquired a ton of fine things, and then some questionable Stuff! We have sold our house, are considerably downsizing, and moving out of the country. We didn’t wish to do a series of garage sales; a friend suggested finding an estate sale person. So I surfed the web and really liked SFES; they came by for a very informative and helpful, and free, appraisal… along with a lecture. Subsequently they guided us through the stressful and tedious job of divesting home and almost all personal belongings/treasures…along with a couple more lectures. Those lectures? they read us well and knew the process: we would start out confused and frustrated; and then move into a state of great sadness and pain. Without any kind of pressure they would ask: are you OK with this? Do you still want to move along here? THAT was endearing… very professional but also very caring for a client. The Estate Sale went super well; as did their associates a nonprofit ‘clear away the rest’ folks. If you desire a smooth and easy divesting/​move then we say: call Deene and Janie. They are wonderful.

Superb In so many aspects! Reliable, diligent, smart, hard-​working, honest and efficient. Can I say more??? They organized a house full of treasure and flotsam into an intriguing, thematic retail event with savvy display, well-​researched pricing, and good experienced instinct. They managed set up, pricing, sale logistics, every detail, including haul away, with grace, charm and efficiency! They entirely understood the market and their customers (who clearly think as highly of them as we do!). Trust these ladies to «get it done!!!» Cannot recommend highly enough! As a bonafide «Treasure Hunter» I absolutely adore the San Francisco Estate Sales Company! I discovered SFES about a year ago… and have tried to attend every sale since… along with the rest of the flock! Janie and Deene have countless items that are unique, great quality, and are reasonably priced! I’ve purchased beautiful jewelry, fabulous linens, lovely clothing, books, albums, art, unique cooking utensils, toiletry items to name a few! Their events are welcoming and SFES personnel are always very helpful. Wonderful games, toys and books for my «grandkids» have been the focus at several sales. I’ve also been quite surprised to discover extraordinary, unique items… which I would only find in a special home environment! (That’s when I can pick up a «jewel» like a forty to fifty-​year-​old retro ice-​bucket in PERFECT condition for my niece, who was stunned when I gave it to her!) It’s also means a great deal to me to know that Deene and Janie are dedicated agents for their clients, which they clearly express to all of their customers. SFES is very well-​respected and greatly appreciated by all! If you’re looking for a needle-​in-​a-​haystack, I’d strongly suggest that you look for it at their sales! You’re bound to find it there!

Stay as far away from these people as possible… they are nothing but liars and thieves. Let me explain. They gain your confidence by setting up a professional sale, with advertising, then conspire to/​and, steal you blind. They refuse to give an itemized list of what was sold for what price… you’re just expected to trust them. My house was full of items from other sales that were brought into my house, (a Jewish minorca, shoes, blankets, clothing, etc., etc.,) and after my sale, my items showed up at their subsequent sales. I had them sell two cars, which was a total disaster. The first I recalled because they sold it to a dealer in Illinois for 4k less than blue book, then claimed they sold it locally and incurred a $ 500 inspection. Lie. I got the car back. The other car was sold for 30% under blue book, and SFES never filed the paperwork for the transfer. The car was involved in a serious crime shortly after and SFES couldn’t even supply a receipt from the sale to detectives investigating the case, which dragged me into the whole mess… it’s been a nightmare. They do business and record keeping like grade school students, not to mention they lie about everything over and over again. Unfortunately, it took me more than the statute of limitations to get all my facts and paperwork together, so I can’t file a lawsuit. I’m hoping Jeanne and Deena see this and file against me… I would love the opportunity to shut these lying thieves down. Just a hint; you’re very vulnerable conducting an estate sale as you’ve probably just gone through a traumatic experience… make sure you hire a company willing to give you a proper accounting of every item for sale. I can’t express how much pain these people have put me through… don’t hire them.

Dealing with San Francisco Estate Sales was a breath of fresh air during a challenging time in our lives. Their sensitivity to our family’s needing to liquidate furniture and household items and their timeliness and communication was bar none. They got much higher prices for some items than we had expected could be achieved, however there were many items that remained unsold at the end of the sale.
They did an excellent job of marketing our estate sale and attracted far more people than we expected. Janie and Denee took care great care in cleaning and arranging the items for sale and in the packing up and managing the donation of all unsold items. At the end of the final day every single cabinet, closet and drawer was emptied and there wasn’t a single item remaining in the house.
It takes a leap of faith to work with an estate sale group. When using an estate sale company you need to understand that every item that is sold is not itemized and accounted for.
It is our opinion that Janie and Denee are honest and work with a high degree of integrity. We would not hesitate to hire SF Estate Sales again or recommend them to our friends and family.

This company is excellent from beginning to end. Whether going through them to plan and conduct the estate sale OR if you love what estate sales have to offer — they are excellent! The people of San Francisco Estate Sales are — by far — the friendliest estate sale people in the business. I’ve been to many an estate sale where the people running it are too snobby to make me stay. I am attracted to people, then products. The people at San Francisco Estate Sales impressed me to such a degree that I am writing a Unilocal review about it. I’ll be watching for more of their sales, just so I can deal with them again. …And, their understanding and knowledge of individual items is clear.
Their prices are fair, both for the seller and the buyer. They are professional, kind, knowledgable, hard working, fair, and energetic. I *highly* recommend going through them for your estate sale needs, consultations, estimates, etc.
