RocketSpace Accelerator

I suppose I’m reviewing Rocketspace for the sake of reviewing it but it’s definitely worth a mention if you’re looking for a good coworking space. The staff is very helpful, especially the ladies at the front desk. They make it easy to find any resident startup on the 12^th floor and do things like reserve conference rooms. Plus they do such an excellent job of restocking the beverages (including coffee) in the main kitchen. If you get creative, there are plenty of spaces to work throughout Rocketspace if you need a break from your usual startup spcae, from the front banquet style table to the kitchen… but not during lunch hours. There is a decent amount of outlets if you look hard enough. After awhile, it starts feeling like home!

I was a part of the corporate innovation program and have only nice things to say! The staff is incredibly fun and just as helpful. From a corporate perspective it is great to have an awesome downtown location to work out of and also be a member of such a vibrant start-​up community.

I’ve stayed at Rocket Space (Bush 225 campus) for 3 months and it was plain awesome. RS staff are super supportive and helpful, atmosphere and infrastructure for work is great (did I mention Philz coffee and Stash tea…) peers fun to hang out with and great events in Bush and Sansome campuses. Location could not be better — easy to reach any part of SF. As it sounds too good to be true, what was the worst thing? Hmmm… sometimes the air conditioning was too much (so had to put a jacket on when outside people were walking in tshirts). All in all — had a great time and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good space for work and connect to people.

RocketSpace has been a wonderful home for Poshly over the last few months! It’s been easy to expand the space we have here as our team grows, and the community is incredibly supportive and fun. Highly recommend RocketSpace for startups!

The RocketSpace team has been incredible to work with these past few months. They take care of making sure everything runs smoothly at the office (e.g. internet, printer, coffee, reception) so I have been able to focus on my work for the Spain Tech Center. They also are just a great group of people that are enjoyable to spend time with and that make sure all the companies here get to know each other well.

Rocket-​Space is amazing. I’ve had a unique perspective as their in-​house photographer, allowing me to spend individual time with each member of the staff (head shots) and to tour the space extensively (workspace photographs). The space and location are ideal, but what has continually stood out in my mind is the support team. They foster an incredible, positive environment of creativity and fun. They are constantly seeking out new ways to ensure their members/​startups thrive and work hard to provide an unrivaled level of service. The collaboration and community is why they are such a growing success.

Thrilled with our experience at RocketSpace! In the four months since we moved in I have seen a positive impact on my business. The connections and feedback have been very helpful.
We were looking for something bright and spacious where we would be surrounded by like-​minded people and companies. RocketSpace has provided all of that, but it is the dedicated and caring staff that stand out. The regular events and evening happy hours make for a nice bonus too!

We’re a UK startup (
) that is spending more and more time in SF. We first came across RocketSpace back when they were in Fremont St in June 2012. Since then we’ve been fortunate to be able to pop in from time to time, most recently at 225 Bush in November.
It’s a great place to work — great location, smart companies, high-​speed connections, plenty of break-​out space, the coffee flows and there’s always networking over beers on Friday evenings. But that’s really only part of the story.
Coming from the UK it’s always amazing to see how fast things can happen in the Bay Area, but these guys take it to another level. Even though we’re only there occasionally, we’ve benefited incredibly from the RocketSpace team’s efforts to help our business. Connections, intros, deals & partnerships — all have come directly from the guys at RocketSpace as they are plugged into the ecosystem right through from startups to corporations. The value add beyond desk space is massive.
If and when RocketSpace opens in London (and I hear it may not be far away), it’s going to change the game and provide an unfair advantage to companies based there. Providing the level of support that we’ve experienced, plus the bridge back to the Bay Area, is going to be huge.

RocketSpace has made a measurable difference in our success. I frequently recommend it, including to companies I’ve invested in. The people behind it are truly, truly first class.
For context, I’m a co-​founder of
— an ecommerce service that delivers high-​quality, affordable household products (dish soap, toilet paper etc.) for less than you the grocery store. Stock up, never run out, and have complete control.
OK, commercial over.
When we first got in to RocketSpace, we were a gamble at best — just two guys with a little capital in our «company» bank account. They were great then. We’ve since grown to ten folks (though only six in San Francisco) and they’ve been even better.
Here’s what you actually get:
Workspace: internet, printers, fax/​scanner/​copier etc. that just work, comfortable chairs, decent desks, ample white board etc.
Community: good, but people are here to get their stuff done, not to spend a time socializing
Connections/​intros: connections to corporate partners/​customers have been exceptional (seriously, if you’re B2B, the RS guys will hook you up). Connections to VCs and angels have not moved the needle (yet)
Cache: there is some — and it mattered a lot for us in the beginning. Now that we’re bigger, it hasn’t mattered all that much
Good people: Duncan, Eryc, Todd, Brennan, Stefan, Laura, Mimi, Teresa, Kenyatta, Nicole, Mike, Richard… they’re all great people — the RocketSpace team is really exceptional. And not to mention the awesome companies we’ve gotten to know well here: Whitetruffle (recruiting), Giving Assistant (effortless charity), Leanplum (mobile A/​B testing), Vuact (interactive video), Kit (FB lead gen) etc.
Free soda & coffee, and semi-​frequent beers
Here’s what you don’t get:
Amazing VC connections or other folks with capital
A super-​close-​knit network of folks within the space, though I will say you can definitely build it yourself if you’re outgoing
The «class» atmosphere of some of the incubators
Frequent coaching from industry/​startup experts. There is some of this, and founder sessions with Duncan are great, but it’s not the frequent mentorship model
Free food
As I started with, RocketSpace has been positive for us in our trajectory and me personally in the startup experience. I would recommend it highly for folks in the San Francisco community in the first few years of their venture.

My company has been working out of RocketSpace for over 6 months and we have been insanely pleased with the culture, eco-​system and contacts that we have grown accustomed to at Rocketspace.
As some may have noted, the old RocketSpace at 181 Fremont was a bit more on the whimsical side and could be a bit cold as it was an older building.
225 Bush is much more modern and cutting edge but with the same incredible atmosphere and irreplaceable energy.
Some of these reviews flat out surprise me, and I don’t review much/​anything, but felt it was necessary for people to realize that the new RocketSpace is nothing short of a 5 star establishment.
Happy to be here. Wouldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
