I just moved to the East Bay Area late December. I saw a position online that fit my career path. In about two weeks after applying for the position, Robert Half got me the job. I was shocked as this is my first time working with a recruiting company. The team worked efficiently in interviewing me, assessing my skill sets, and making sure that the position not only fit me but that I would be happy with the position.
The staff at Robert Half coordinated all the meetings, paperwork, negotiating pay, and answering all my questions promptly and diligently.
Kristi, John, Dennis, and Azalia worked very well together to provide me with updates and calls. This was truly a well-​working team. I am very impressed with their professionalism and timely communication.

After my accounting program I contacted Account Temps RH.
I felt like I had a team behind me. They were so supportive in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. My current assignment has been a huge blessing for me. I had a great interview and told them what I was looking for. I met everyone on the staff and felt like my chances of getting a job were high. I was particular about not working after 5pm. They did have a job for me, but it wasn’t what I was looking for so I declined. At that time, I really needed the work. So I waited a week and never heard from back. I called for the 3^rd time and the lady, who was very rude, told me they were no longer interested in me and never gave me a reason why. Let’s just say after I had a good cry like I was smacked in the face that they are not a professional company.
Not giving anyone a reason why they won’t use you is ridiculous. All they care about is money, not about their employees.

I came to Robert Half right after grad school, eager to begin a new career. I meet with Mark Caraway, who helped me along my journey. He and his team really listen to what I was looking for and worked with me to find the perfect position for me. It is because of him and Robert Half that I have my current (and amazing) position.
I have tried other recruiting agencies before, and by far Robert Half is the best. I have tried to work with other recruiting agencies and felt like they quickly forgot about me; this was not the same for Robert Half. Robert Half really tried to work with me to find a position that would be a great fit for both me and the employer.
Prior to an interview, they help you prepare for it and give you tips. Also they are great at getting genuine feedback from the person who interviewed you. I found some of these feedbacks at the beginning of my job search to be very helpful in improving my interviewing skills.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know who is trying to enter the financial sector or someone currently working in this sector who is trying to find a new job.

It’s been over 3 weeks now since I visited. Not only did my recruiter come in 30min late to our meeting time, but she also looked like she just came back from too many drinks at lunch. I had to repeat myself over 3x in order for her to finally comprehend what I was saying and then after it all… 3 weeks later… still haven’t heard from her even after I’ve reached out twice a week.
Don’t go.

Incredibly unprofessional and rude. It’s astonishing to me that Sarah L. could have a career in recruiting. Unilocal privacy concerns will not allow me to include her full name, but her name begins with an L and rhymes w/​Über.
From setting up interviews for the wrong position to missing scheduled calls, this woman was truly something to behold. Additionally, she encouraged me to send her a list of the positions I had compiled and was considering applying to so we would not submit my resume to the same employer. After repeatedly telling me she was reviewing the list with her «team», she stopped returning my calls altogether (I did not call excessively — 3 times in two weeks at most). I’m under the impression she stole my list to find new clients.
Ironically, after ultimately finding a position myself and informing my former employer of my departure, they told me they had heard similar stories of her lack of professionalism.
Clearly I cannot speak to the entire team at Robert Half as a whole. I have had friends use them in the past who were very happy with their services. However, what I can say is that if you find yourself in a room with Sarah L, run for the hills — she is a true chameleon.

Amazing. The opportunities that Robert Half has are countless. Recruiters are well plugged to every industry. Please seek for better opportunities. I have used RHI on multiple occasions. Each occurrence landed me a position within a solidified institution.
My recruiter is Tyler K., who I highly advise for job seekers that are looking for a diligent, courteous counterpart. Tyler listened to my wants when I was in need of another opportunity. Once he found a match, he offered great advices along with resources to help me land the position He was a referral from Julia S. Both are amazing professionals that listen.
Because the above are great listeners, it allowed them to filter through the opportunities they had to better assist. That said, my experience was a two way street. Whatever, I put in, it was matched and some additional from the mentioned.
You can’t go wrong with either. I highly suggest the above for a better opportunity!

Further update: Despite reaching out to Robert Half vie calls and emails to at least six different people, I continue to receive emails from them. Not only do they mislead potential candidates, they are apparently so incompetent they don’t know how to remove people from their marketing databases.

I am a recent graduate and man, this whole process for the ideal gig was a monster. The competition was so fierce. I went for weeks, trudging through interviews with companies and jobs I didn’t really want.
However, working with Mark Caraway really changed the quality of my job search. Mark is soooo sweet, thorough, compassionate, and efficient. After interviewing for a big company Mark set me up with, he comforted me with a sincere pep talk easing my anxiety after the interview. I knew, at this point, that Mark was different from all the other recruiters I was working with. Mark genuinely cares about how I was feeling, walking me through each step of the interview process, giving me great tips for the target company and the position, and offered amazing supportive through the initial job search, before and after the interview, and during the waiting game.

Where is the Zero Star button. I’ve met with most of the «recruiters» in this company, they will promise you many opportunities but will never even send you on an interview. Smaller agencies are much better to work for! Don’t waste your time meeting with these people they could care less about you — they only care about the companies and their own pockets. Horrible people very unprofessional — they love blowing smoke up — you know where!

A recent re-​entrant to the Bay in March, and with a few years temping under my belt in accounts & IT, I wanted to make myself available for temp work while I searched for something full time. Enter Robert Half, an agency I had read positively about here, but one that proved a stark contrast to their carefully curated reviews.
Did the usual tango: email app, phone interview, and in person registration & tests — all with relative ease, and met my first point of contact, a basic, but otherwise nice woman by the name of Lauren. At the time I mentioned in my application and in writing that the only caveats I held were that work had to be in San Francisco, and over $ 15/​hr. Two very discrete, humble, and what I believed were very simple requests, but ones that sadly went ignored.
My first interview was at an industrial site next to a methadone clinic that a previous candidate had bounced from. It was about as bad as you’d expect, replete with being given the incorrect address, and embarrassing myself and the employer involved.
After that and over the next two weeks, I received several phone calls for jobs all around $ 13 — each from a different person, each for work barely related to what I do, and each time having to awkwardly correct the member of staff about my rate specified. Job requests that were politely declined included after hours convention center staff at $ 12/​hr, and a job moving office furniture (???). I’m open, but they were obviously clasping at straws.
I ended up landing a two day data entry position through them that went swimmingly, and was even asked to come back — by a different staff member, at a new rate of $ 2 less an hour. That’s crazy shady and very much not happening.
After a few months with this agency, my own search proved fruitful and I thankfully landed FT work in my industry. Requests to be removed from their database were unsurprisingly ignored, and I found myself spammed by various promotional material including a Happy 4^th of July email replete with ClipArt from Word’s 1997 stock. Tragedy and comedy is a fine line, I guess.
Overall, an agency can be a good tool to include in your job hunt if you have the time and patience, but unfortunately OfficeTeam isn’t it. I recommend Premier as an alternative, as their process is easier and their rates much higher. For businesses, I suggest resisting the hard sell of OfficeTeam and working with someone who can find you more than a warm body. OfficeTeam proved to be an agency that values quantity over quality in every aspect of their process, and I’m pretty sure everyone, including their recruiters, could stand to do better.

I’ve been registered with them for well over a year now… if possible, it would be zero stars.
I worked an 8-​hour Cisco event at AT&T Park, didn’t receive a lunch & was underpaid; I had the distinct displeasure of speaking with Mr. Rich Noreen regarding the situation. He was very unprofessional & belittling, stating that we’d sat around for 2 hours (try more like 45 minutes, waiting for our assignments… not my problem, & since WHEN do you get your lunch break before you’ve worked?!) & that counted as our lunch. I definitely didn’t appreciate how he came at me as though he was doing me a FAVOR by not paying me correctly for hours I’d worked. I later responded to one of their so-​called evaluation emails, & gave them very low marks regarding the quality of service received. All of a sudden, I receive a call from someone named Gretel, claiming to be upper management & stating that she wanted to talk to me regarding the situation. Well, that did absolutely NOTHING. I expressed how disrespectful, bullying & unprofessional Mr. Noreen was during our call, & felt as thought this went into the ear I was talking into, & out the other. So, seeing that you all apparently hoped I’d simply brush it under the rug, I’m forced to get my Unilocal on. No, I’m not going to quibble over the 2 hours pay you cheated out of, but I WILL make sure that you’re on blast for being tacky & disrespectful, and for your supposed upper-​level management allowing it.
Awww, have I been BLACKLISTED?!
Since that Cisco assignment, I’ve been met with absolute SILENCE; I’ve worked several temp positions here & there previously, & kept hearing from friends of mine (that registered WAY after I did) that had been placed on long-​term (18+ months) assignments with a very prestigious bank here in San Francisco. When I email the person Gretel stated was in charge of such positions (as I’ve worked with her before), I HEAR NOTHING. When I call said person to find out what I can do to be considered for the same, I HEAR NOTHING. This nothingness is VERY commonplace here; the attrition rate is huge, & those that are still there are pretty indifferent about helping you.

From day one, I felt totally at home and very welcomed by all members of Robert Half, and to top it off, I had the fabulous fortune of meeting Jessica. Even, though I am not technically a member of the the financial industry, which she places usually, she took me under her wing and absolutely did everything in her power to find me the perfect position!

This review is coming from the words of my husband:
After a high recommendation from a co-​worker, it was suggested I tried them out because they «did her good.» I called and set up an interview which, went really well and felt quite positive ON THE PHONE. I went downtown for the interview, copies of resume and references on a zip drive (the printers were closed) in case they needed the resume again and a copy of my references. The recruiter did indeed ask for the references however, did not feel like using the zip drive to obtain them — from what I read below, I’m glad I didn’t have my references printed. He spent perhaps 10 minutes with me and the whole time belittling me with a smile on his face. He also made it very clear to me that I was not going to get a job and my resume would be placed last because I went to a 4 year college online (Phoenix University) and not a prestigious 4 year college. The whole thing experience left me feeling utterly useless because of their «down their nose» attitude. Talk about feeling defeated by the people who are supposed to help you!
Over all, though everyone was pleasant, they walked around with their noses in the air. The place was thick of arrogance and attitude hidden behind a fake smile. Imagine being told how much you suck for going to an online college with a pretty, polite smile on their face — I was so upset and discouraged that I just wanted to vomit on his desk. How dare you tell me to my face that I’m being put at the end of the list because my college isn’t prestigious enough?!?

Wow. Never have I ever dealt with such unprofessional people in my life until I fell unfortunately into the strangling hands of Robert Half.
The recruiter I worked with would send sloppy e-​mails (I once received someone else’s resume for a position she had suggested for me), a voicemail detailing someone else’s interview, calls multiple times a day even though I had specified e-​mail was the best way to contact me, and she even reached out to my references without notifying me first and then told them details about an offer I was entertaining. That was the last straw and when confronted, she denied it. I also suspect she presented me to a client of hers even though I rejected it.
Robert Half seems to place no emphasis on long term connections but rather seeks to make a quick buck off of you.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There are plenty of agencies out there (3bridge for instance) who try to foster a long term relationship with you and will listen to and appreciate what you have to say.

Throughout my career, there have been times when I needed temporary work until I found a full-​time, permanent position and I’ve turned to Office Team each time. This time I needed to land a job and found The Creative Group. The Creative Group is the marketing, advertising, PR and graphics design division of Robert Half. I met with Brandi Rahill in the Oakland office and walked away feeling excited and confident that I would have a position within the next 30 days. After a number of follow-​up calls I placed, nothing. And then after a couple of months, I heard nothing at all from Brandi. I checked her LinkedIn profile and Brandi actually left the company. Okay… now what?
Because I was contacted several times by Macy Metzger in the San Francisco office on a number of opportunities, I decided in May to set up an appointment with Macy. Macy was awesome. She asked me great questions and I felt that she understood my situation and my difficulty in landing a position. When she asked me where else have I applied, I showed her my spreadsheet of approximately 160 applications over the course of 7 months. She had never seen anything like that before and could tell that I wasn’t a typical candidate.
About 10 days later, I got a phone call from Rich Noreen in the Office Team division. Would I be interested in a temporary marketing assistant position at a construction company? Heck yes! And 2.5 hours later, he called me back stating that I would be starting on Tuesday after Memorial Day.
Rich followed up with me and answered my calls professionally. As the company needed to fill the position permanently, I had to go through the interview process with a number of other candidates. I nailed it and blew the other candidates out of the water taking full advantage of actually being in the office and doing a stellar job.
Rich negotiated $ 15K more for the position as my qualifications and skills warranted it along with the two weeks off I requested to attend Burning Man this year. (This is my 12^th year.)
When I started the position as a permanent employee, Rich personally delivered a dozen INCREDIBLE cupcakes to my desk.

Very unprofessional/​useless. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR REFERENCES. They will hound your contacts for job leads. They bring everyone in for interviews whether they have a real position in mind or not just to obtain your contacts.
