Description

Specialties

I am a voice teacher with a sense of humor. A clear tone, projection, expression are focuses of my work. I have been teaching in San Francisco for 12 years and my students range from intermediate to advanced level. I feel that collaboration and patience are critical to a successful student/teacher relationship. Occasionally, I organize my students to perform for each other and even use some costumes and staging if it seems appropriate. I teach people to sing without a mike, employing good technique & expression.

History

Established in 1995.

I have been teaching since 1995. After performing for many years as a soloist in opera, musical theater and oratorio, I am now applying that experience as a voice teacher in addition to performing my own solo performances of Richard Fey, a Classical Cabaret and concert work in the Bay Area.

I am a graduate of the Merola Opera Program of San Francisco Opera and have had extensive experience as a singer with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Goldovsky Grand Opera Theater (NY City), New York City Opera Theater, Eastern Opera Theater (Baltimore Opera), Marin Opera, Pocket Opera and was section leader in the 7th Army Soldiers’ Chorus, Heidelberg, German.
