History

Established in 2014.

A new spot on lower Polk with a new owner. Breakfast sandos, great coffee, and the only place with fresh squeezed OJ on the street. In the afternoon an extensive Sandwich list is available. Miguel, Monce, and Mahely are the best!

Ok I just noticed today that they don’t wash their lettuce. I saw the lady take the romaine out of a produce bag and started chopping it. Then I noticed she was mixing the salad with her bare hands. I didn’t get sick but I doubt I will come back. I means don’t you have to use tongs?
Is the food and safety department ok with this unorthodox food prep?

I used to work at City Hall. Left right around the time R Caffe opened. I still have business in Civic Center several times per month. This is a great spot for a coffee and I always enjoy lunch when the time is appropriate.

Not only a Great fresh food. The albacore salad and the sandwiches are so delicious. Fresh and reasonably priced. The owners work he restaurant with much pride and are very clean. I’ll definitely be back. It’s got. Small eating space but is warm and comfortable.

Seating for around 6 people inside with a cute, homey ambiance.
Service was mediocre, but it was the morning. and mornings are difficult, so i don’t blame them.
Breakfast burritos, bagels, and sandwiches along with many coffee options are available. I got a breakfast burrito, and watch out! they are quite spicy. I didn’t expect my breakfast burrito to have jalapenos in them. The bacon, ham, and egg bagels were delicious!

The Husband and wife that own the caffe are very nice and were very informative and patient when I asked questions. I got my ceaser salad to go and he was nice enough to tape the fork and knife to the container. The décor was so nice and they have a nice menu with a lot of selections. I would love to see them increase the salad selection a bit to add some protein to them but besides that I am glad I found this caffe and plan on going there a lot!

I like to get their $ 5 breakfast burritos once in awhile. I think they’re from a company in Sonoma, the ones that are also sold at Philz. But it’s cheaper in this café.
The space is small so I usually get it to go. The staff is nice and prepare the food quickly. Sandwich prices are between $ 6 – 9 so it’s a good deal for the area. If you come often, make sure to get a stamp card. Ten visits equals a free sandwich!

I haven’t tried their coffee yet, but I hear it’s great. It’s a cozy little café run by a husband and wife. Very friendly and welcoming. Their tuna sandwich has wonderful flavor. And the bread was fresh. It’s a great place to pop in to grab a sandwich, snack or coffee/​tea. They only have 2 tables so I wouldn’t bring a group to stay and eat. More of a to-​go place. They have a sandwich rewards card and if you buy 9 you get the 10th free. And if you check in you can get 10% off your meal. I will be going back for sure.

Coffee: excellent! Sandwiches: superb! And very important: the most sincerely nice folk you’ll ever meet!!! Give this place a try on your way to the office for coffee and a morning snack then return at lunch for a fresh and healthy sandwich or salad. You’ll be glad you did :-)

New café in the neighborhood. Great lattes, pleasant staff, good looking menu. Conveniently a few food down from Brenda’s, which makes it am excellent spot to wait.
