Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP)

creates, exhibits and distributes new films that authentically

reflect the lives of queer women of color, gender nonconforming

and transgender people of color and address the vital social justice

issues that concern multiple communities.

We bridge seemingly disparate populations to transform and

empower participants, audiences, communities through art,

activism and movement building to create social justice.

Our vision nurtures filmmakers as artist-​activist leaders to

create systemic change and lead social justice movements

that incorporate the power of art as cultural resistance,

cultural resilience and cultural renewal.
