I had a residential awning installed and I was very satisfied with the whole process. You can’t ask for a better people to do business with. I got a quick response to my inquiry and Leo Quayle was very thorough in following up with me. He sent detailed information on product choices and answered all my questions on everything from awning type to fabric and color choice. It’s hard not to be impressed by their photo gallery of existing customers and the range of awnings Leo and crew have installed. Plus, you’re dealing with the owner: Leo cares about his business and he has an outgoing personality that lends itself to great customer service.

Just finished a three awning project in San Francisco with Quayle & Company. Living in Los Angeles and having to schedule on-​time meetings with Marky Lynn Quayle… was remarkable! She understood my needs and was respectful of my time, and she was knowledgeable, helpful with suggestions, and pleasant to work with. The installation was yesterday with Leo and a helper. They were on time, respectful, happy to be there, and the installations were beautiful. And for the record, Leo has a great sense of humor. Marky Lynn came when the guys were finishing to make sue I was satisfied. I would definitely use them again and be a reference for them. And I do not know them personally. My review is strictly professional. I had phoned (from Los Angeles) several awning companies in San Francisco, and Quayle was the only one to understand my needs and call me back after the initial call.

From beginning to end, Leo and Marky Quayle were there every step of the way — Marky was so quick and responsive on the business end and Leo was perfect on the production end! I had a lot of special requests and they came through and went above and beyond! Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was superb.

When we first met Leo, we were immediately impressed by how personable he is. We had a fairly small project, but he treated us like we were his most important customers. He guided us through what will best work for us — no pressure sales job… just someone who wanted us to be happy and satisfied. He came and installed the awning when he said he would. He did a fabulous job. But we didn’t know just how good it was until…
What made us appreciate him even more? During the recent severe storm, that awning hardly budged, nary a movement in the strong winds. Leo installed it so well, pulled the canvas tightly and securely, and the canvas was so well made. It held beautifully.

I had Leo install a retractable motorized awning at my residence in Oakland. My experience with him was great. From start to finish: perfect. He looks at the space, makes recommendations based on his vast experience; he is artistic so can even suggest fabric choices. He is smart, reliable and very conscientious. The awning is big and he made sure he put plenty of brackets and that he would be able to install it in the small space above the transoms and below the roof. This installation required removing some decorative wooden brackets which he did, patched the stucco with silicone and painted it prior to installing the awning! He did it so quickly in the beating sun and said he had to do it now so it would look nice once the awning was up. No extra charge BTW. It makes the area now feel like an additional living space. He helped pick out the color of brackets and made money saving suggestions that only he would have been able to suggest. I think that Leo and his company is a very reputable and reliable. The awning itself is simply beautiful. Awnings can be such a perfect solution for a space that receives variable weather. I wish I had done it sooner. And I would have met this delightful individual sooner as well!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Quayle awnings on a couple of commercial jobs here in the Bay Area. The company I work for (Alfresco Heating) installs patio heaters in commercial and residential applications throughout the Bay Area. Leo has always proven to be knowledgeable, flexible in his design, and mostly a great communicator. His MO is to look after the customers needs rather than his own. Leo had adjusted his design to allow for seamless integration of his awnings and our heaters. Its a bit of a #1 #2 punch that has allowed both of our clients to better meet their revenue needs with dry, cozy, and warm dining environments. I regularly mention Leo by name to my clients and recommend him to both residential and commercial clients in need of quality awning work, both fixed and retractable.

Quayle & Co were a pleasure to deal with. They (Leo) were efficient, offered great suggestions re color & dimensions, were direct & to the point, with a bit of humor thrown in. I think the 2 awnings (front & back) that they’ve made for us will last a long time & will enhance the house appearance.

I heard about Quayle Awnings years ago when I didn’t need an awning, and am so glad I remembered their name when our need for one arose a month or so ago. It was so easy and nice to work with Leo — we started on the phone, quickly went to email, then the phone and finally in person. I sent approximate measurements and a photo of an awning that we liked, Leo sent the price and I was floored, it was so reasonable. I was thrilled. We met, he did very careful measurements, I chose a color from his samples and gave him a downpayment, and very soon thereafter he sent a drawing, and soon our perfectly beautiful first-​time-​ever awning over the front door of our little building was installed, much to our total delight and the delight of residents and neighbors alike. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you, Leo. You are a real craftsmen, total professional, and a San Francisco treasure!

I recently contracted Leo Quayle to redo our awning in front of our business, and to also paint the lettering across the whole awning. It is hard to find someone to who is so involved in the process from start to finish. For me this is what really separated his business from the competition. He bid the job and does the work himself. He also always answers his phone which is very reassuring when you are investing big dollars into your business. Leo also has a great personality and is a bit of a character which is a plus in my book. Very passionate about his work and it shows in the end result. The finished project should easily bring us more business than the money spent. Thank you Leo for a job well done.

Well deserves 5 stars! The best awning fabricated for me to replace a shoddy job from another awning company. Leo was a delight to work with — I and my dog loved his Russian folks songs. He arrived for an estimate on time and delivered the awnings faster than I could possibly have imagined. We have 7 awnings on our house, Leo has replaced 2 and when the remainder need replacing we will certainly call on him. He is very expensive but well worth the price as it seems as if his awnings will be long lived. Note that he no longer takes credit cards.

I put Leo in an awkward situation by giving my husband a retractable awning as a surprise present, so Leo was rushed in and out of my house for measurements, swarn to secrecy, and the surprise went perfectly. Leo was professional, friendly, quick, and super knowledgeable. The quality of the awning and installation seem really great and so we are very pleased. I would highly recommend Quayle to anyone else in the market for awnings.

I absolutely love my awning! I chose this company because I liked the work represented their website. I called for an estimate, and out of three different companies, Quayle Awning was the only one to leave their business card to let me know they were at the store. They gave me a next day estimate, which was close to, but still less expensive than the other two companies I was looking at. The job was completed on time and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
I would hire them again and recommend them to a friend.
