Quantum Leap School

Before starting at Quantum Leap in second grade my daughter used to say, «I’m not good at math». By the middle of second grade, she started saying, «math is easy» and scored in the Advanced section of her STAR test in Math. When she got her STAR testing scores, she asked me to e-​mail Nellie (teacher) and thank her. This school gave her so much, that we started our son there for pre-​school and entering kindergarten he can already write all the letters, numbers, do some basic addition and subtraction, etc. Nellie and Inna are both wonderful teachers. They use Singapour Math books (can look them up on-​line), which are great! You get both the work-​book and the text book to take home with you, so that your child can look up a topic they didn’t quite understand during class. Every week there’s also a packet of homework. The problems kids are given teach them to think, rather than fill in a bubble, which is what the public schools teach them. We are planning on continuing quantum leap classes for both of our kids throughout their elementary and middle school and that’s the best praise I can give.

Today was «meet the teacher» day for my wife and I, and our daughter who has attended Quantum Leap for a few months was given two thumbs up.

Fantastic place for kids to learn solid math and analytical skills. This is an excellent supplemental program, especially for kids who need an extra challenge. The teachers are warm and enthusiastic. They create an environment where kids want to learn, and then want more!

I work for big US high tech company and in my experience at least 75% of technical work here in the Valley is done by engineers educated outside of US (me being one of them). Do you know why? Because math and science in US and especially California schools suck! Doesn’t matter it is public or private schools. Kids are not challenged enough!
I have two kids (9 and 12) and been looking for after school program that would give them chance to really understand and appreciate math and science. Quantum Leap just what they needed. I don’t care if they chose career in science or not but I do feel obligated to give them a chance to succeed if they do.
