We are welcomes you into our salon with professionalism and enthusiasm. Q Lotus Salon is grand opening on July 4th 2012. We’re located at 1414 Sutter Street in between Franklin Street and Gough Street, and our salon is close to downtown San Francisco, California.

Our staffs have been stylist since 2005 to present, which the time we’ve been developed a wealth of experience and creativity we’ll put our works and times for you. We’d like to bring our best services in each client’s unique character and individual style… We keeps the salon organized, schedules appointments, and focuses on clients and employees needs. We are dedicated to exceptional and personalized care to ensure that the clients experience is always pleasurable, relaxing, friendly, and enjoyable. Also infront of our salon has street free parking for two hours, and parking meter as well.

Great small salon. Came in last minute for a quick cut and style. The stylist anna was very helpful and attentive started off with a consult with my hair and offered shampoo before my cut. During the service she was very detail and took her time to make sure everything was going to my approval.
It was a great experience. She is a great stylist and highly recommended her.
The salon itself is small but comfortable. Very clean, organized.
If im in the area. I will definitely come back.

Great neighborhood salon. Henry treats you like a friend from the first visit. I have gone to him for both a cut and a touch up. Both times I was happy with how it turned out. Henry is very kind, professional and efficient.

I’ve been going to Henry to get my haircut for almost 2 years now. He is SUPER friendly and nice. He spends a lot of time to wash, massage my head, cut, blow dry, and uses products after to protect my hair and makes it healthier. The tools that he use and his salon is always clean.
He listens carefully for what I’m asking and check with me. In addition he gives always tips for my skin, hair what should I eat or use.

I will start by saying that the people there are incredibly nice, possibly the nicest people I’ve ever met which is why they received 2 stars.
The haircut I received was a whole different story. I had the lady there (she never told me her name) and asked for a long bob with some layers in the back. I even provided picture examples of what I was looking for. However, that’s not the hair cut I received, the back of my hair is completely uneven! Different sections are longer than others and it kinda looks like I came out of an Edward Scissorhands movie. Usually I would give a salon the benefit of the doubt and go back, but it’s so bad I don’t want to trust them to fix it. Going to pay the extra $ to have it fixed by someone else.

I did not have an appointment because I was visiting some friends in SF. I walked in on a Tuesday morning, and was greeted by Henry, the soft-​spoken owner of the salon. He said it would be 25 for a male haircut, and I asked if he would wash my hair too. Even though he was fully booked, he kindly fit my haircut in, and gave a very professional cut. He cuts quickly but accurately, and has been doing so since 2007.
I ended up tipping him 5 dollars for his efficiency and good attitude.

I went here because I saw all of the good reviews this place had and I must say it wasn’t the least bit disappointing. The haircut was really fabulous! I had requested a lot of layers for my short (a bit longer than my jaw line) hair and it came out exactly as I wanted it. I’m very happy with my haircut and I also must say that Henry is really womderful, he also gave me a lot of advice on what would look nice for styling my hair and really took the time to explain.

Henry is wonderful at what he does, and a genuine human to boot! I called on a Wednesday morning and was able to get an appointment just a few hours out. I needed 6+ inches taken off my hair; I wanted to go from long and scraggly to a full, healthy lob. Henry listened carefully to my request, and checked in with me throughout the process — anyone who’s ever had a stylist cut their hair too short will know to appreciate this! He was precise and ended up giving me exactly the cut I wanted. I couldn’t be happier! I will definitely be back for my next haircut. Thanks Henry!

I went to Henry with no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. My instructions were basically «cut off the dead ends and give me bangs» and I walked out of there incredibly pleased.
What stands out the most though, is Henry. He was funny, personable, cheerful, and an all around pleasure to be around. It wasn’t a haircut where I felt forced into awkward conversation (Which is easily exacerbated in the one on one environment), but one where conversation flowed smoothly and full of laughs.
I left there in a wonderful mood, with a wonderful haircut, and confident that I’d be back to see Henry soon.

This place is a hidden gem for a high quality haircut treatment. The shampoo and conditioner head massage is very relaxing. I also liked the quite atmosphere and calm background music. They spend quality time to make sure you are fully satisfied with your haircut and experience.

I originally went to Q Lotus because it’s two blocks from my apartment and I was desperate for a trim. I came in with low expectations, and although it wasn’t until my second visit that I was 100% satisfied with the cut (likely due to my misdirection, not Henry’s fault), I have been happy ever since.
While the haircut is always good, I mostly go here for the quality conversation. Henry is a smart and pragmatic guy who sincerely cares about his clients. The shop is barely big enough to hold more than two people, which means most of the time it’s just you and Henry. This lends itself to a more intimate customer-​client exchange, and Henry is quite engaging.
I would definitely recommend Q Lotus to anyone in the area! You don’t necessarily need a reservation or to call ahead, and Henry will take care of you like family.

I’ve been going to see Henry at Q Lotus every 6 weeks for over a year now. Henry is still awesome. He cuts my hair well and always takes his time making sure things are perfect. You can tell when people are making an effort to go the extra mile, which Henry does.
What’s even better is that he treats me like a friend. When I walk by (not going to get a haircut) he comes out to say hi. When I forget cash, he had my back until next time. He gave me a free bottle of nice shampoo once when he noticed my hair was super dry. I usually never write followup reviews, but i think this place definitely warrants it. Thanks Henry, you’re the best.

I was skeptical at first. But this place is amazing! Henry is a wonderful stylist. I came in for a simple haircut and left with a new place to get my hair done and somewhere I want to recommend to everyone! The salon is unassuming, small, and a bit outdated, but Henry was personable, professional and genuine. He is working hard to grow his business and build clientele.
They take appointments and walk-​ins. I made an appointment and he was waiting for me at the door! He cut my hair, washed it and gave a fantastic head massage, and dried it. He has a lot of experience and listens to what you want. The best part… the reasonable pricing! Just $ 25 for all that.
I don’t write many reviews on Unilocal but this was worth it!
