PSI Testing Center

I had to take three required investment exams and two were administered at a Prometric Center in San Jose. My last exam was scheduled at PSI near Candlestick Park. I was expecting the same standard that one would expect at a proctored testing center, professional, clean and comfortable while testing.
Pros:
Close to freeway, ample parking.
Cons:
Unprofessional staff, one female was plain rude and barked at me to stand outside the door, her two coworkers looked unprofessional and were dressed like a disheveled version of the Brawny paper towel guy, unshaven and easily could apply for the Un-​Hunky version of Jesus in Dolores Park.
The floor was filthy in the lobby, probably since the rude girl dumped her large iced coffee on the floor in front of her desk.
While taking the test, the room was heating up like a sauna and perfect for me to fall asleep. Overall, this place is unprofessional.

Yes! They have parking! Cool guys, laid back environment. Test was tricky so think it thru and take your time. Don’t be nervous.
Don’t bring anything inside. Phones, jacket, wallets and even pens are not allowed but they do have a locker.

I attempted to take a Microsoft exam here today, and I encountered the same issues as Darek T. (12÷7÷13). I waited an hour and a half while the staff attempted to fix this, at which point I had to leave because I had no more time to waste sitting around. Although the staff said that this «usually» doesn’t happen (depends what you mean by usually, and really, even once is too much …) I don’t recommend that anyone come here for anything Microsoft-​related.

Don’t worry. They have parking, and you can get a parking spot. Don’t worry about the «you may not bring personal items, cell phones, wallets» bit either. It’s all true, but they will give you a LOCKER, free of charge, for all of your things. I thought those instructions meant they didn’t even want my cell phone to enter the building with me so I locked it up in the car, but you can bring it in. Just not into the testing room itself.
Do show up early. Half an hour early if you like. It will help with the nerves. You can start as soon as you show up so if you’re early you just get to leave early. No waiting around until the scheduled test time. You can also pace yourself. If you finish a part of your test with 20 minutes to spare and you’ve checked and double checked you can just go on to the next part. Good luck on your exam!

I took my TEAS V nursing school application test here. I was very nervous as this test is critical to my application. I had a very hectic morning as I misplaced my drivers license; YOU MUST HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE OR STATE ID, PASSPORTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. The driving instructions posted on the PSI website are a llittle confusing; the exit is called Candlestick Park not Monster Park as the instructions note. Nonetheless, my experience at the testing center was great.
The staff were calm and helpful. They took my drivers license and let me put my keys in locker which they locked up for me. They took my picture and then gave me instructions to go into the testing room and get started. The proctors stay outside the room so you wont have someone watching over you making you more nervous. They provide two pencils and 5 sheets of paper which you can exchange once. Ear plugs and noise canceling head phones are also provided. I hardly needed them. The room doesn’t hold many test takers (around 10) so there is not a lot of movement.
At the beginning of the test there is a tutorial and practice quiz that you can do as many time as you like to get comfortable. During the test the test allows you to mark questions to go back to, which helped me manage my time. All in all, it was painless and I think I did as well as I possibly could.

I took a major test at PSI for the first time last week. Let’s just get to it:
— Proctors are nice and helpful. These qualities normally would go unnoticed, but when you’ve been studying for over 4 months and anxiety is through the roof, it is helpful to engage with people who are competent, calm and collected. They helped me keep my cool, when I was a ball of nerves.
— Easy access to the restrooms. Although they are all the way at the other end of the hall, facilities are clean and easy to use.
— Parking is not plentiful, as some have described. However, there are usually a few spots open around the lot. My only complaint about the parking is that the spots are smaller than average, so you might be stuck parking in between two cars and have a hard time opening your door.
— Room temperature. I NEVER complain about room temperature unless it’s something intolerable. The temp was higher than I’d like. At first I thought it was my anxiety and nerves making me feel warm and clammy. Not so much. I was able to figure out that the room was a lot warmer than I had anticipated, which makes the whole test-​taking experience a little more difficult.
In all, I don’t have any major complaints. Probably because I passed the first test :) I’ll be back in a few months for part 2.

I’ve been to this testing center twice and I’ve had a pleasant experience each time. There’s a large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. Once, I was there thirty minutes early and they were nice enough to allow me to take the exam early. They make you take off your jacket and place all your belongings (keys, phone, etc) in a file folder. All staff I’ve encountered were friendly and helpful. The center is well kept and very clean.

Took my CPJE exam here. Its right by candlestick park and theres a parking lot for test taker convenience. I arrived at 815 for my 9am test and they let me start early so I got out around 945. The test taking center itself was well lit, provided comfortable chairs, ear plugs, pencil and paper. The staff was friendly. They dont have lockers unlike the NABP testing centers for NAPLEX so try to avoid bringing a backpack. Make sure to bring your SS card + photo id and make sure it matches letter for letter NO INITIALS. They also have a café upstairs if you are hungry. Overall a good testing center.
